Chapter 175: Chapter 175: Gratitude for the al First
Chapter 175 Returning the Favor of a al
Both of them went to the dormitory, and Shuiyu took out the key to open the door.
The boy-to-girl ratio in their high school was quite high, so the dormitories were not divided by class, but by grade. Their year had four classes, with more than two hundred students, but there were only about sixty girls.
Two dormitories were allocated to the female students of their year, each housing about thirty people.
This dormitory was approximately thirty-plus square ters, with a long row of sixteen bunk beds lined up to form a long barrack-style sleeping area, where only individual mosquito nets partitioned the space into separate small areas.
The dormitory could accommodate thirty-two people with bunk beds, and it was already housing thirty. Only one empty bunk remained at the very end, where so students’ boxes had been placed on top.
Shuiyu asked, “Do you want to sleep on the top or the bottom bunk? The top is quieter, the bottom more convenient.”
After pondering for a mont, ngyu replied, “I’ll take the top.”
The key point was she needed to cultivate, and the top bunk offered fewer disturbances.
“You’re sleeping on the edge, on the top. Just don’t fall off in the middle of the night,” Shuiyu warned with a laugh. It wasn’t without precedent, though.
ngyu gave her a look: “Is that likely?”
“Put down your stuff and let’s go for breakfast,” Shuiyu suggested. “We exchange al tickets a day in advance and eat the next day. You didn’t co yesterday, so you can share my al today.”
Because al tickets had to be submitted a day ahead, there were often those who’d forget to turn them in, finding themselves sharing a al with classmates the next day.
However, everyone was growing, and one al was hardly enough. How could two people be full sharing one al?
But ngyu stopped Shuiyu: “Let’s not eat in the canteen today—I’ve brought food.”
ngyu said this as she took out two large lunchboxes and opened them.
Having been taken out from another dinsion, the food was still steaming hot.
In her previous life, she ate many of Shuiyu’s als, without which she might have starved to death long ago.
In this life, she would start by repaying Shuiyu’s kindness with food.
Upon seeing the al in the boxes, Shuiyu’s eyes lit up: “Wow, there’s braised pork, and fried eggs, too? I haven’t had at for a week.
I was supposed to get extra food when I went ho this week, but my dad wasn’t around and my mom went back to her parents’ place. I’ve been craving at so much. ngyu, you’re the best!”
Having said that, she unceremoniously grabbed a lunchbox and began to eat.
ngyu chuckled inwardly at this; so families might not have at once a month.
Yet Shuiyu would have at every week when she went ho. rely a week without it, and she was already craving.
After wolfing down several pieces of braised pork, Shuiyu finally slowed down and said, “Alright, before our classmates return from getting their als, tell quickly, what exactly happened to you?
Didn’t you get into university? Why didn’t you go?
Did Jiang Huaiyu really take your place in university for over a month? Was she really expelled from school after you caused a scene?”
ngyu let out a long sigh, “Shuiyu, you’re right, my university spot was indeed misused by Jiang Huaiyu for over a month. However, it wasn’t my real mother who sold the spot; they took it away themselves.
Furthermore, to steal my identity and attend university in my stead, they sold to a pair of brothers in the deep mountains as their shared wife. Before betraying , they took the opportunity during the celebration for my university acceptance to drug . And that cup of sweet wine laced with a sedative was given to personally by my dear sister Jiang Huaiyu.”
ngyu disclosed all the events she had encountered in the past few months.
