ngyu forced a smile, “Brother Gu, you’re not joking, are you?”
She took a step back, wanting to put so distance between herself and Gu Dongxing.
“I’m not joking,” Gu Dongxing moved a step closer. “Didn’t you say I was your fiancé?”
ngyu was a bit panicked.
Although she had indeed thought about snatching him from Jiang Huaiyu’s grasp, in this life, everything had changed, and she wouldn’t let Huaiyu recognize her as her biological mother, nor would her mother set her up with Gu Dongxing again.

ngyu shook her head: “I trust you!”
Gu Dongxing felt a twinge in his heart: a girl telling him, “I trust you.”
ngyu smiled sweetly: “It’s not just because of the past—for the dream—anyway, I trust you.”
Gu Dongxing saw her go from flustered to controlling her emotions in no ti, even smiling so sweetly, and thought to himself that this little fox was indeed not bad.
Yet, the fact that she said she trusted him also made him quite pleased.
After all, he had already taken this silly little fox under his protection, and naturally, her trust was very important to him.
“All right, keep the gold. Here,” he pulled out ten banknotes from his pocket. “Take these to use for now.”
ngyu accepted them without fuss: “Thank you, I’m completely broke right now, consider it a loan from you.”
