"What are we having for dinner tonight?"
"The director’s back, huh?" Upon hearing Ning Yi’s voice, a young man turned around with a smile, a piece of green vegetable still in his mouth.
When he saw the beautiful little girl holding Ning Yi’s hand, he was stunned for quite so ti. The other crew mbers, who turned their heads a bit later, also shared the sa shocked expression.
"What’s for dinner? I’m hungry. Is there any food left?" Ning Yi’s mind was focused on the food and he didn’t notice the expressions of the crew mbers.
"Yes, yes, yes." The crowd snapped back to reality.
The young man quickly swallowed the vegetable in his mouth, looking amazed as he moved closer to Ning Yi.
"Director, director, is this our little actress?"
"What little actress?" Ning Yi was obviously not on the sa wavelength. By this ti, he had already seen what was for dinner tonight, "Sweetheart, tonight we’re having braised winter lon with pork and stir-fried green vegetables. Is that okay?"

"But they can have kids," replied the colleague, chewing the food with little enthusiasm.

As a newly arrived little guest to the crew.
Ning Youguang, the young one, was honored with a small chair and a tiny table during the al.
The little chair and table were hand-crafted by the farr who cooked for the crew. He cut the wood from trees on the mountain, dried it, then sawed the planks and nailed them together with his own hands.
They were quite rough and all mini-sized, reminiscent of the tables and chairs little children use in kindergarten.
Ning Yi benefited from his daughter’s presence and for the first ti had the honor of sitting at the little table for dinner.
Even though he sat on the small chair, his tall figure of over 1.8 ters with long legs couldn’t stretch out fully, but it was better than standing or squatting to eat with a bowl in hand, right?
On the table for the father and daughter were four bowls, two big and two small, and two plates.
The two big bowls were filled with dishes: one with braised winter lon and pork, the other with mushrooms stewed with the farr’s own chicken.
On the plates: one had stir-fried green vegetables, the other had pan-fried eggs, while the two small bowls contained steaming hot white rice.
It wasn’t an overly sumptuous dinner, yet it was enough to make the surrounding crew mbers drool.
The crew’s dinner consisted of only one at dish, one vegetable dish, and one soup. The at dish was braised winter lon with pork, the vegetable was stir-fried green vegetables, and the soup was green vegetable tofu soup.
Not nearly as exquisite as the dinner for the director and his daughter.
But even though they were envious, no one felt any imbalance in their hearts.
Because the director usually ate with them.
In the mountains and countryside, they couldn’t even get boxed als.
The crew hired a local farr family to cook for them; even though there were just over 30 people in the crew, preparing three als a day was no easy task, and everyone couldn’t be too picky.
So, whatever the local farr prepared for everyone, that was what they ate. Being able to eat to their fill was already good.
Even knowing that his daughter was arriving today, the director didn’t inform the farr in advance to prepare sothing special.
The director and his daughter were only able to eat what they had tonight purely because of the daughter’s presence.
"Even if you don’t like it, eat enough to fill up, we won’t have late-night snacks." Ning Yi also felt that such food wasn’t doing justice to his daughter, but there was no other option.
"No, it’s really delicious." Ning Youguang took a bite of the fried egg and squinted at the scenery in the distance, bathed in ink-like colors. It felt truly fragrant.
She hadn’t eaten such tasty rural food in a long ti.

But Ning Youguang wasn’t interested in TV and followed them with mosquito repellent spray to observe the film shoot.
Ning Yi gave her a small stool, allowing her to sit and watch from the sidelines.
Quietly watching everyone in the crew busy at work, You Guang noticed that although the crew was quite poor, everyone carried a genuine passion and determination to make a good film. Everyone worked exceptionally hard, each person almost doing the work of two or three.
She felt that perhaps it was precisely because of this that the atmosphere of the crew in front of her was better and more cohesive than those she had seen when she visited her mother’s film sets in her past life.
