"Everyone in our family has one."
Upon hearing Ning Youguang’s words, Ming Jinxin imdiately poked her head into the kitchen, enthusiastically shouting, "Honey, honey."
"What’s up? What’s up?" Ning Yi, wearing a brand-new khaki apron, erged from the kitchen, holding a pair of long chopsticks. "I’m frying atballs, speak quickly if you need sothing."
"Let the worker watch the atballs first," Ming Jinxin said with a smile, "Our daughter and Shi Wangyue bought us a lot of gifts. Co over, let’s look at them together."
"Alrighty." A bright smile appeared on Ning Yi’s face.
He then ran into the kitchen, handed the chopsticks to the family worker, and called over his youngest son, who had been stealthily munching on atballs while slyly peeking over the stove while Ning Yi was outside.
"Stop eating that, it’s too hot."
He grabbed his son’s hand, "Your sister and brother Wangyue are here. Let’s go see what gifts they brought us."
Upon hearing his father’s words, Ning Youyu quickly chewed and swallowed the atball he had just stuffed into his mouth.
After coming out of the kitchen with Ning Yi,
He imdiately let go of his hand and cheerfully ran to Ning Youguang and Shi Wangyue. "Sister, Brother Wangyue, Happy New Year!"
"Happy New Year, Little Fish!" Shi Wangyue and Ning Youguang replied in unison.
"Did you also get a gift?" Ning Youyu blinked his round eyes and hugged Ning Youguang.
"Yes," Ning Youguang smiled and said, "Your gift is in Brother Wangyue’s hands."
"Okay." Ning Youyu happily ran over to Shi Wangyue with an expectant look on his face.
"... ..."
Ming Chao stood in the living room with a pile of elegantly wrapped gift boxes, slightly stunned as he watched the Ning family.
—He sensed sothing was off.
"Son, what’s the matter?" Ming Jinxin, sharp-eyed, noticed her eldest son’s expression was off and imdiately showed concern. "If the things are heavy, just put them on the table."
As she spoke, she began tidying up the living room table.
Ming Chao quickly adjusted his expression, "It’s nothing."
Just a few gift boxes, is his mom pretending not to understand or genuinely clueless?
Shi Wangyue, having just put down the gifts, smiled and patted Ning Youyu, who had co over to hug his thigh. "How was frying atballs?"
"It was fun," Ning Youyu said with a smile, "There were radish atballs, at atballs, vegetarian three-delicacy atballs. My dad and I made a whole lot of atballs."
"That’s impressive," Shi Wangyue praised, "Little Fish can make atballs now."
"Yeah," Ning Youyu nodded obediently, raising his hands to demonstrate the action of rolling atballs, "Roll, roll, roll, then toss them into the oil pot."
His demonstration of rolling atballs was adorable, and his expression claiming he could fry atballs was equally cute!
Ning Youguang was utterly chard, "Then I’ll have to eat more of Little Fish’s atballs later, alright?"
"Sure," Ning Youyu nodded earnestly, "I made vegetarian three-delicacy atballs especially for you."
"Mwah~" Ning Youguang leaned over and couldn’t help but plant a kiss on her brother’s round cheek, "I love you so much."
"I love you too." Ning Youyu said with a hint of shyness on his face, yet his eyes were smiling brightly.
After finishing her conversation with her brother, Ning Youguang turned to see Ming Chao standing there motionlessly, staring blankly at the gift boxes in his hands.
A slight flicker in her eyes, she walked over and smiled, pulling out a deep blue box from the pile he was holding, handing it to him, "Brother, this is yours." 1314
