“Yes, I’m the owner of this house,” Qiao Mei said in a gentle tone as she looked at the neighbor.

“A while ago, a man came to your house. He knocked down the door and hasn’t e back to repair it. He said his name is… Daniel and he asked me to tell you about his visit when I see you,” the man said.

“Alright, thank you.” After saying that, Qiao Mei looked at the house helplessly.

He could have just repaired the door if he knocked it down, right? Why did he have to take the car? Besides, she thought she had the car key? Why did he still have a key to the car?

Many questions filled Qiao Mei’s mind. She wished she could grab hold of Daniel and give him a good scolding!

She had e back in a hired car just now. There were no buses or taxis which served this area, so how was she supposed to go to the city to look for Daniel? Was she supposed to walk there?

Just as Qiao Mei was thinking about this, Daniel stopped his car behind her and yelled out, “Why didn’t you tell me you are ing back! Fortunately, I e by every day!”

If not for the fact that Xia Zhe was still in his family’s hands, Qiao Mei would definitely point at Daniel’s nose and scold him for being a “perverted stalker”!

“You left in a hurry last time and we didn’t have time to plete the procedures! Get in the car. I’ll bring you to do the paperwork!” Daniel said with a smile.

Qiao Mei crossed her arms and stood motionlessly without getting into the car. She looked at Daniel mockingly and said, “If you really like this car, then you can drive it back. I don’t need this car anyway. You just have to pensate me with cash. Is it very difficult to fulfill my request?”

“I’m sorry! I don’t mean that! I just feel that it’s a pity to just leave this car parked here. I don’t have your contact information, so I drove it away,” Daniel said apologetically.

Daniel kept explaining that it was a misunderstanding but Qiao Mei did not want to listen to his nonsense at all. What she wanted to do now was to go to Daniel’s house immediately to look for Xia Zhe!

“How about this! You chose this car that day without looking at all the cars in the garage. I’m sure you don’t really like this car. Let’s go and choose again, how about that? I also have a few motorcycles! I can give you a motorcycle as an apology gift!” Daniel said.

“Fine! Then let’s go,” Qiao Mei said.

Daniel hurriedly helped Qiao Mei into the car. Along the way, he was in high spirits. He was either singing or introducing the surrounding scenery to Qiao Mei. Before they entered the neighborhood where his house was located, she saw people decorating the area with lights and decorative items.

There did not seem to be any festivals ing up. Was it Alan’s birthday? Why was it so grand?

“Oh right! You don’t know yet! It’s my sister’s engagement party tomorrow. There won’t be many attendees at the banquet. It’s just my relatives and a few families we do business with. Do you want to attend it with me? I… I still need a female panion,” Daniel looked at Qiao Mei and asked expectantly.

Qiao Mei did not hear the second half of what Daniel said at all. Her mind was only filled with the news of Jessica’s engagement and she immediately asked, “Who is your elder sister getting engaged to?”

“It’s that guy Mr. Fang Chen from last time. You’ve met him before,” Daniel said.

“Didn’t he reject your elder sister?” Qiao Mei asked as she pretended to be surprised.

“Well… he probably changed his mind. No one will be able to reject a beauty like my sister. You haven’t answered me yet! Will you acpany me to the party?” Daniel said.

Could it be that this was the method which Xia Zhe came up with!

Qiao Mei was furious inside. After taking a few deep breaths, she smiled at Daniel and said, “But I don’t know how to dance and I don’t know any etiquette. I don’t have a suitable gown either.”

“It’s alright! It’s just a simple family banquet! I’ll bring you shopping to buy a new gown now!” Daniel said.

“Alright then. I’m looking forward to Miss Jessica’s engagement party,” Qiao Mei said.

Daniel almost screamed in joy. It was obvious that Qiao Mei was not Jessica’s fan. Although Qiao Mei had said that she was a fan of Jessica the previous time, it must have been an excuse!

She was pletely calm when she saw Jessica and did not even ask for Jessica’s autograph. Daniel had seen Jessica at a news conference before and the fans below the stage looked like they wanted to swallow her alive. Qiao Mei did not behave like those fans at all.
