After Su Jin got married, there were at least five or six tis when she and Xie Jingchen ended up at odds, and she slept at the foot of the bed.

But without exception, every ti she woke up in Xie Jingchen’s arms.

Xie Jingchen would always look at her with an expression as if saying, "Can’t you have a little backbone?"

Su Jin was so embarrassed she wished she could dig a hole and hide in it.

At night, no matter how angry she was, she couldn’t muster up the anger anymore.

No matter how much she tried to hold onto him to sleep, he never pushed her away.

Who would have thought!

She had been sleeping like this every night!

If not for being poked awake by the silver needle this ti, she wouldn’t have known how long she would be kept in the dark.

Xie Jingchen didn’t know how to react.

The tips of his ears were so red they could drip blood.

He had never encountered such an awkward situation in his life.

How did she suddenly beco awake?

As Xie Jingchen glanced sideways, he noticed the silver needle sticking in Su Jin’s shoulder.

His eyes narrowed.

Even if he’s stupid, he knew that Su Jin wasn’t big-hearted; she had used the silver needle to knock herself out intentionally.

Xie Jingchen recalled the ti he playfully slapped Su Jin’s butt in the garden. He didn’t even use force, yet she fainted.

As an apology for knocking her out, he didn’t argue about her making him take the bla, almost leading to a concubine marriage.

The two stared at each other.

The flas in their eyes grew more intense.

Su Jin silently thought that this was bad.

She quickly pulled out the silver needle to throw it on the ground, but with a feigned move to trick Xie Jingchen, she directly stabbed his sleep point.

Xie Jingchen grunted in pain as everything went dark before him.

He was still holding Su Jin in his arms. As he fell, Su Jin followed, banging her head on the bed fra, seeing stars from the pain.

Even though Xie Jingchen was unconscious, he held her tightly, and Su Jin couldn’t break free.

She struggled hard, barely finding a more comfortable position to sleep.

Xie Jingchen’s arm was poking her uncomfortably, making it hard to sleep.

Su Jin looked at the canopy above, feeling like crying but without tears.

This really was injuring the enemy by eight thousand while self-damaging by ten thousand.

She didn’t even know when she finally fell asleep.

The next day, the Hidden Guard didn’t wait for Xie Jingchen to practice martial arts in the backyard.

Xingxing entered the room as usual, glanced at the bed, and noticed the Young Master’s foot sticking out. She felt embarrassed to go forward.

She stepped back outside and leaned against the pillar, lost in thought.

When the sun was high in the sky, a little maid felt sothing was off and ca over to ask, "Why haven’t the Young Master and Heir’s wife gotten up yet? Did they... consummate the marriage?"

"Really?" Xingxing looked excited.

The little maid, "...."

She was asking her!

The Heir’s wife doesn’t allow other maids to serve her. No one knows if they’ve consummated better than her personal maid!

Yet she asked her instead.

The little maid was dumbfounded.

Inside, Su Jin woke up. After sleeping uncomfortably for a whole night, half of her body was numb.

The sunlight shone into the room, making it sowhat stuffy.

"Xingxing," Su Jin called.

"My lady is calling ," Xingxing turned around and entered the room.

She lifted the bead curtain and entered, the first thing she saw was the Young Master’s foot.

The sunlight just happened to be shining on his foot.

She felt hot just having her hand in the sun for a while.

How could the Young Master stay in that position without moving for so long?

The more Xingxing thought, the more she felt sothing was wrong; could the Young Master have passed away?

She rushed over, "Miss, what happened?"

"Quick, pick up the silver needle on the ground for ," Su Jin said with a twitching mouth.

Xingxing looked around on the floor for a while but didn’t see the silver needle.

She moved her foot and found the silver needle was under her foot.

Xingxing, "...."

She picked up the silver needle, cleaned it, disinfected it with a candle, and handed it to Su Jin.

Looking at the silver needle, Su Jin almost cried.

Without thinking, she stabbed it toward Xie Jingchen.

Xie Jingchen woke up in pain.

When he realized what had happened, he glared at Su Jin, "Are you trying to go down with ?!"

"Bring it on!"

"Who’s afraid of whom!"

"I’ve had enough of living anyway!" Su Jin shouted.

"...."

Xingxing was a bit confused.

She couldn’t imagine how the Young Master’s embrace had anything to do with going down together.

She had thought the Young Master held too long, causing his arm to go numb.

But Su Jin’s words about not wanting to live anymore, Xingxing didn’t take seriously. Her lady was too weak to even hang silk on the beam, let alone stab herself or drink poison to die.

Out of all the one hundred and eight ways to die, none pleased her, so she cried, "I’ll get old, have a face full of wrinkles, lose all my teeth, not be able to eat at, only drink porridge every day. Is there a way to never grow old?"

Xie Jingchen gave Su Jin a glance before getting up from the bed.

His arm had been pinned down by Su Jin all night, circulation cut off, feeling like it wasn’t his.

Xie Jingchen struggled to get dressed.

Su Jin lay on the bed, letting Xingxing massage her arms and back.

It took quite a while to feel better.

After breakfast, Su Jin took Xingxing to Qihao Hall to pay her respects.

Even though the Old Madam wouldn’t be happy to see her.

She was still a filial granddaughter-in-law.

The Old Madam had coughed up blood the day before; surely she was resting in bed now.

But to Su Jin’s surprise, the Old Madam was in the main hall.

She looked pale, lacking much color.

When she saw Su Jin enter, her gaze was cold enough to freeze soone.

Mrs. Wang walked over and said, "Old Madam, everything has been packed properly."

The Third Madam hurriedly asked, "Packed what things?"

The Old Madam fiddled with the Buddha beads in her hands and said, "The Old Prince is seriously ill, so I’m going to stay at the Great Buddha Temple for a while, to pray for the Old Prince."

"But you also need to rest," the Third Madam said.

The Old Madam shot her a glance, cutting off the Third Madam’s persuading words.

Su Jin silently rolled her eyes.

She had never seen soone being punished to reflect at the Great Buddha Temple end up claiming it was to pray for the Old Prince.

So good at self-aggrandizing; she certainly wasn’t lacking money.

Pitifully, she had previously decided to visit the Great Buddha Temple today, and now she had bumped into the Old Madam there.

She didn’t want to tag along, so she’d go another day.

Xie Jinxiu and the others all expressed their willingness to accompany the Old Madam to the Great Buddha Temple to pray.

The Old Madam waved her hand and said, "It’s enough that you have the thought."

Then, the Old Madam’s gaze fell upon Su Jin.

Su Jin t her gaze and looked away silently.

Xie Jinxiu turned to Su Jin and said, "Hasn’t the sister-in-law thought of accompanying Grandmother?"

Asked knowingly.

Even with toes, it’s obvious she wouldn’t have such a thought.

"The Old Madam isn’t letting you all accompany her, let alone ," Su Jin smiled.

"The Old Madam not letting us doesn’t an she won’t let you. Or maybe the sister-in-law just doesn’t want to accompany her," Xie Jinxiu said provocatively.

Trying to force her to take the initiative to accompany the Old Madam to the Great Buddha Temple?

It seed like they truly planned to have her reflect together there.

Too bad she wasn’t taking the bait.

"Not long ago, I was attacked at the Great Buddha Temple; I still have a psychological shadow," Su Jin said, lowering her eyes.

"I can’t knowingly not be able to accompany and still coax the Old Madam with nice words."

"...."

Psychological shadow?!

Encountering her!

The ones who suffered were those assassins, right?!

If there were truly psychological shadows, it should be those assassins!

But unfortunately, with Su Jin saying this, Xie Jinxiu had nothing more to say, just glaring in frustration.
