The captain of the enforcent officers jogged over to Calf’s desk and said, “Investigator, the day you asked us to watch for—the day when the corpses are transported out of the city—has arrived. Tonight those rcenaries will take all the bodies out.”
“Very good. When they finish accepting the deliveries at six in the evening, we will conduct a surprise inspection there.”
The captain of the enforcent officers looked puzzled and asked, “Sir, why are we going to inspect that place? What does it have to do with—”
Calf waved his hand and interrupted him.
“You are not a mber of those two schools, so you may not know.”
“Actually, the most common channel for apprentices to purchase corpse materials is this very corpse delivery point.”
“Those rcenaries also know that apprentices desperately need corpses. As a very dangerous profession, their work naturally produces no shortage of bodies. Although the quality is not as good as the corpses carefully selected by specialized rchants, they make up for it with sheer quantity.”

Fulan concealed her face and wore a gray-black robe. She pulled the hood over her head and also wore a pair of thick black gloves.
Before she even reached the destination, she was already feeling overheated. Sweat soaked her body, forcing her to put down the corpse bag she was carrying and lift it with Telekinetic Hand instead, reducing the heat generated by her body.

“Are we really just going to sit here without inspecting the corpses? I rember that mage specifically told us to open them up and check.”

A few rcenaries standing outside panicked and ran off in another direction, leaving the apprentices who had been speaking with them completely bewildered.
However, the enforcent officers were prepared. Several of them imdiately rushed forward. One rcenary who ran a bit too slowly was caught, thrown to the ground, and pinned down.
“Damn it, so of them still escaped. I will go after them.”
Those rcenaries were clearly experienced and incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, they disappeared from sight. Several enforcent officers imdiately chased after them.
anwhile, the apprentices beside Fulan began whispering among themselves.
“What is going on? Why are the enforcent officers here?”

“What investigator?”

Fulan looked at the chaotic scene unfolding before her and shook her head helplessly. Of all things, she had to run into sothing like this.

He stepped forward and spoke slowly to the crowd.
