Chen Feng put down the phone and couldn't help but shake his head, hoping that after completely withdrawing from ngyao Costics' shares, ngyao would give up on him.

Close to noon, Chen Feng suddenly received a call from Wu ngting, who quickly said, "Brother, can you please co over to the Manting Cafe downstairs of the company? Han Shipei and I are both here."

Hearing that she was with Han Shipei, Chen Feng's brows furrowed, "What are you doing with Han Shipei?" Wu ngting imdiately explained, "It's related to her previous case, the father of that rich second generation directly approached her and threatened her, I'm standing up for her and planning to negotiate with him here in the cafe."

"Why are you getting involved in her business?" Chen Feng said with so annoyance.

Wu ngting said sternly, "She's one of my people now, of course I have to protect her."

Chen Feng instantly felt a headache and asked, "How did he threaten her? She can report to the police, why involve you? What's there to negotiate about?"

Wu ngting continued to explain, "That person isn't just paying off Shipei's parents to force her to write a letter of understanding, is he? Shipei advanced so money from the company to give to her parents, finally persuading them. But how could that person let it go? When he bribed her parents, he set them up, had them sign a so-called guarantee, and after accepting a deposit of fifty thousand, they had to ensure Shipei wrote a letter of understanding, otherwise they'd have to repay ten tis that."

Chen Feng could only swear inwardly, how greedy and foolish could Han Shipei's parents be to sign such a guarantee?

"In that case, she should either pay the money for her parents or simply agree to write the letter of understanding."

This ss just goes round and round, never-ending, and Chen Feng was really tired of handling it.

"That guy's son is scum, how could we possibly write a letter of understanding to reduce his sentence?" Wu ngting said angrily.

"Then just pay the money," Chen Feng said indifferently.

Wu ngting frowned and pleaded, "Brother, Shipei is really pitiful, her parents are like this. Plus her mother is in poor health, with high blood pressure and heart disease, she can't be upset. This matter has to be borne by her, but she clearly can't handle it, so we should help her. She's now also our company's employee, as the boss you can't just watch her suffer, right?"

Chen Feng knew that there was no avoiding it today, he could only say, "I'll co over then. However, it's impossible to make him give up."

"You co over first. The other party is wealthy, and also a man, he might even have brought so thugs. At least your presence will bolster our courage."

"Alright, I'll head over now."

Chen Feng sighed, unable to bother with lunch, he left and drove to the company first.

It was nearby, only about ten minutes to reach the Manting Cafe, after parking the car by the roadside, he walked into the cafe.

After looking around for a mont, he saw where Wu ngting and Han Shipei were sitting, across from them sat a middle-aged man in his forties, burly and tall.

Getting closer, he saw his face clearly, covered in flesh with high cheekbones, a stern look, exuding an aura of authority.

"Brother, you're here."

When Wu ngting saw Chen Feng, she quickly waved to him.

Seeing Chen Feng appear, Han Shipei looked embarrassed and nervous, while the middle-aged man across frowned.

Chen Feng quickly went over and unceremoniously sat right next to Han Shipei.

In a booth like this, it was standard for two people to sit on one side, so three sitting together was obviously a bit cramped.

Han Shipei, pressed closely by Chen Feng, imdiately felt uncomfortable and moved further inside.

Without paying her any mind, Chen Feng looked towards the middle-aged man opposite - Pan Zhizheng's father, Pan Dongliang.

"May I ask your na? What is your relationship with Miss Han?"

Pan Dongliang got straight to the point and asked.

Chen Feng slightly raised an eyebrow, responding with a question instead, "You must be Pan Zhizheng's father? May I know your na?"

Suppressing his inner dissatisfaction, Pan Dongliang replied in a deep voice, "I'm Pan Dongliang, the boss of Dongliang Electrical Company, and you are?"

Chen Feng smiled slightly, "I'm Chen Feng, the boss of Fengmang Film and Television Company."

Upon hearing Chen Feng introduce himself, Pan Dongliang was sowhat surprised; he really hadn't expected Chen Feng to be the owner of a film and television company. To him, a film company was rather unfamiliar, and Chen Feng didn't give off any vibes of a businessman, let alone the deanor of a boss.

"What's your relationship with Miss Han?" Pan Dongliang didn't bother with politeness, asking directly again.

"She's an employee of my company," Chen Feng answered truthfully.

"Is that all?" Clearly, Pan Dongliang didn't believe it.

Wu ngting spoke up, "That's right, Boss Pan, we are both his subordinates."

"Alright then. Since you must already know about Miss Han's situation, I won't waste words. I hope you can convince her to write a letter of understanding. Otherwise, have her parents compensate , and I won't ask for much, just according to what's written in that agreent, two million will do."

"Two million?!" Han Shipei couldn't help but cry out, "Wasn't it fifty thousand? When did it beco two million?"

Pan Dongliang sneered, "The agreent states that in case of breach, they must compensate ten tis the promised benefits. I promised your parents two hundred thousand, so ten tis is two million, right?"

Han Shipei's face paled with anger, and her body trembled slightly. She was furious at her parents' greed and ignorance, and equally mad at the sinister and cunning man before her.

"Boss Pan, you've got quite the tactics," Chen Feng comnted with a faint smile at him.

Despite his annoyance with Han Shipei, Chen Feng still had to maintain appearances; after all, she had previously pledged her loyalty to him.

"Boss Chen, since you're so keen on protecting your employee, you could just put up the two million. Pay that compensation, and I'll leave imdiately without bothering her again."

Pan Dongliang spoke with an air of confidence, certain that Chen Feng wouldn't cough up the two million.

Truthfully, Chen Feng had no intention of impulsively handing over the money. Though he wasn't short of two million, and despite the aggravating nature of Pan Dongliang's words, he wasn't going to spend it on Han Shipei, a woman like her, playing the fool.

Moreover, even if he paid the two million, he knew there was little chance the other party would truly leave Han Shipei and her family alone.

"Boss Pan, failing to educate is the father's fault. Your son is now a convict for serious cris, and you can't escape responsibility. Rather than pulling strings and spending effort trying to reduce his sentence, it would be better to let him reflect more in prison. If he gets out early, he'll just cause more harm to society and disgrace you."

Chen Feng's words struck a nerve, deliberately reopening old wounds. Pan Dongliang's face turned livid with anger.
