Zhao Xiaolan felt a bit unhappy when she heard her daughter-in-law's words and couldn't help frowning.

After dinner, Chen Feng originally wanted to chat with his mom and dad, but his mom kept bringing up Wu ngting, so he quickly retreated to his room.
Lying in bed, he picked up his phone and saw a few unread ssages.
The first ssage was from Lin Yujiao, sent about ten minutes ago, informing him that her digital single had officially launched on all major music platforms. She also had promotional cover ads on those platforms.
Chen Feng replied with a "Good luck."
Lin Yujiao instantly replied with a smiley face.
Then Chen Feng checked ssages from Wu ngting. She ntioned that she'd gotten a few signed artists from her company to help share Lin Yujiao's single, hoping for a good outco.
Sun Xiaorui also ssaged him about the sa thing.
After reading, Chen Feng didn't reply to those.
The last unread ssage was from Guo ngyao. He hesitated to open it but ended up doing so.

Chen Feng frowned, speechless for a while. After a long hesitation, he didn't block her.
After all, they once had sothing, and they were high school classmates. Even if they broke up, Chen Feng didn't want to hurt her again.
Ignoring her is the best way to resolve things now.
Because enduring long-term pain isn't better than short-term pain, and Chen Feng can't give her the future she wants. It's better to end things quickly rather than waste her youth and happiness.

The six ford three pairs, and Lin Yujiao was in the second pair. Zhao Qiang went first, choosing a well-known rock song. He sang pretty poorly, and Chen Feng noticed his high notes were a bit off. But you could say the flaws didn't overshadow the good parts; many rock singers occasionally miss notes, and it might add more emotion.
Except, now the stage isn't a concert but a competition, so those off notes aren't really an advantage.
Lin Yujiao chose a challenging, emotional ballad. Although the high notes weren't as difficult as Zhao Qiang's rock song, she sang them smoothly without any missed notes, full of emotion, making it sound very pleasant.
Without bias, just based on their song performances, Lin Yujiao was slightly better.
Moreover, Zhao Qiang wasn't good-looking; he just told stories of growing up in a migrant worker's family, loving music from a young age, saving to buy a guitar and practicing for years, becoming a wandering singer in adulthood. He talked about how his family went from not understanding to supporting him, and in the last episode, he even cried, saying his mom got cancer. He expressed his determination to do well, to make his mom happy, which got him a lot of sympathy points.
Speaking of which, for a man over 1.8 ters, speaking about family matters on a talent show, selling dreams and filial piety, Chen Feng felt he was a scheming boy.
While Zhao Qiang was early in setting up his "chasing dreams bravely" and "filial son" persona, Lin Yujiao rely ntioned in the first episode's VCR that she was divorced, single, and running a clothing store, without saying much else.
In the second episode, Lin Yujiao just sang purely in the competition without adding unnecessary stories, so her presence wasn't strong.
Therefore, it's normal for the ntors and producers to keep Zhao Qiang and eliminate Lin Yujiao.
On TV, when Lin Yujiao got eliminated, she appeared calm, properly thanked the show and ntors, and wished her remaining teammates the best in future competitions, then left the stage.
She left gracefully, without the pretentiousness of hugging ntors and teammates like other eliminated contestants, nor did she, being female, naturally burst into tears.
