Chen Feng had a deep sleep as soon as he got ho, only to be woken up by his phone’s ringing.
It was Lin Wan calling, asking if he had set out yet.
Chen Feng said he would et up with them right away.
After hanging up the phone, he checked the ti and found it was already six in the evening. He hurriedly got out of bed, got dressed, washed his face, and then left after tidying up a bit.
The two glasses of red wine from noon had quite an after-effect. After coming ho, Chen Feng had fallen asleep for about three to four hours straight.
His car was parked near the won’s residential area; fortunately, it was close by, just a few minutes’ walk.
When he arrived, the two won were already standing and waiting by the roadside at the entrance of the residential area.
However, upon seeing Lin Wan’s attire, Chen Feng was stunned for quite so ti.
She had her hair up, shiny earrings on, and was wearing a black evening gown, its hem nearly dragging on the ground.
Perhaps due to the colder weather, she had donned a fluffy shawl over her upper body, yet her lovely white neck was still revealed, shining with a platinum necklace around it.
There she stood at the big road entrance to the residential area, clutching a small square bag to her chest, looking as if she were on her way to a red carpet event at an awards ceremony.
Pedestrians passing by, including drivers, would slow down when they reached her, frequently turning their heads to look.
Chen Feng had expected her to dress up nicely, but her get-up was really over the top!
On the other hand, Wu ngting was very understated and casual; she wore jeans and a wool sweater underneath a woolen coat, giving off a very relaxed and comfortable vibe.
Most importantly, Wu ngting was wearing sneakers - after all, with the temperature at night around just over ten degrees, it was still sowhat cold outside.
But Lin Wan was wearing high heels, and at most, she had tights on; in such cold weather, this was indeed a beauty that could freeze people.
Chen Feng thought she was making herself suffer.
"You’re really slow! You said ’right away’, and yet fifteen minutes have passed. You let us two beauties stand out here in the cold. Aren’t you ashad?"
Lin Wan started to complain the mont she saw Chen Feng.
"It wasn’t fifteen minutes. It was clearly just ten minutes. Alright, let’s get in the car. Aren’t you cold dressed like that?"
Chen Feng said, while taking out his car keys to unlock the vehicle parked not far away.
"Mind your own business!"
Lin Wan ended the conversation and hurriedly walked toward Chen Feng’s car.
During these autumn and winter nights, it was naturally a bit chilly dressed like that.
The three got into the car, Chen Feng took out his phone, opened the navigation app, and started planning the route; it was about ten kiloters, and they were expected to arrive in half an hour.
The navigation app was quite accurate; stop-and-go traffic led them to the private restaurant on Chaoyang Road just a few minutes away from the agreed upon seven o’clock.
Luckily, they weren’t late; otherwise, it would have been a bit rude. Qin Zhen would be fine, but mainly it was his girlfriend who mattered.
They had invited them for dinner, and it would have been bad form if they’d been late.
Qin Zhen and Ning Wei had, of course, already arrived.
After a phone call, the three of them were led by a waiter into an antique-looking private room.
"Sorry for the traffic delay. Luckily, we’re not late."
"There’s no need to be formal. Please, take a seat," Qin Zhen greeted Chen Feng warmly, then nodded at Wu ngting and Lin Wan, "Please take your seats as well."
Seeing Ning Wei slightly frown and observe Wu ngting and Lin Wan, Chen Feng quickly introduced them, "These are my friends. This is Wu ngting, from Lu City like Qin Zhen and , and this is Lin Wan, ngting’s close friend and also a friend of mine. So, I brought them along. You don’t mind, do you?"
Qin Zhen replied, "What are you talking about? The more the rrier. Of course, we don’t mind. Your friends are our friends too. Co on, everyone, let’s start with a cup of tea."
By this ti, the waiter had already served tea, and Qin Zhen stood up, making sure to pour for everyone - a gesture of etiquette for the hosts.
Chen Feng, of course, didn’t mind him pouring tea and casually accepted the cup Qin Zhen handed him.
However, Wu ngting and Lin Wan were more reserved; they quickly stood up to pour for themselves, but in the end, Qin Zhen poured for them.
Finally, Qin Zhen poured tea for himself and Ning Wei.
"This tea was brought from my ho, a top-quality rock tea from Fujian Province, specially brought over by a friend of my father’s; it’s rare to find it on the market. Please give it a try."
Ning Wei spoke up, her voice soft and sweet, unhurried, the epito of graceful deanor.
"Alright, I’ll have a taste," Chen Feng responded favorably, took a sip, smacked his lips; it tasted quite good to him, although he couldn’t provide a detailed comntary.
He wasn’t really into tea and simply comnted, "Not bad! This tea is quite nice."
Seeing this, Lin Wan and Wu ngting also took a small sip each.
Wu ngting spoke up with a smile, "This must be authentic rock tea, right? I’ve had it before and it seems to taste just like this."
Ning Wei, hearing this, smiled broadly, showing her teeth, and looked at Wu ngting with admiration, nodding slightly, "Yes, it is indeed very authentic rock tea. There’s recently been so market speculation, with a pound selling for tens to hundreds of thousands. However, many people don’t know the real thing, and there are a lot of frauds. Authentic rock tea is now hard to co by in the market."
Hearing this, Chen Feng couldn’t help but inwardly exclaim: She’s doing a great job at keeping up appearances!
