Around five in the afternoon, Chen Feng’s parents finally returned.
Since they were inford in advance that the groceries had been bought, they didn’t need to buy more. By that ti, the two won had already cooked several dishes together.
Most of the dishes were cooked by Wu ngting; Guo ngyao made only one dish, tomato scrambled eggs. She knew her cooking skills weren’t as good as Wu ngting’s, so she just made the dish she thought she was best at.
Zhao Xiaolan ca back insisting on taking over and also cooked two dishes.
Once all the dishes were laid on the table, the Chen Rui family ca over as well.
They already knew that Wu ngting and Guo ngyao were coming, so they weren’t surprised. But Chen Rui looked at his younger brother, Chen Feng, with envy, wanting to privately seek his advice.
On this Mid-Autumn Festival, these two won ca to the house for the celebration, joining the family for a reunion dinner, which certainly ant sothing.
Both won were very interested in Chen Feng, especially Guo ngyao, who seed likely to have already had a fling with him.
What’s the secret to making two won completely devoted to him, and yet they seed to get along peacefully?
This point made Chen Rui, as the elder brother, deeply impressed, and wanting to learn is only natural.
Originally, they hadn’t planned to host a family banquet today, but they did anyway, and with the addition of two won joining the reunion dinner, the atmosphere beca lively.
Especially since Guo ngyao was also quite the talker, quickly charming Zhao Xiaolan into smiles. While Wu ngting wasn’t as talkative, she had a knack for saying a few tily words that enhanced the mont.
More importantly, Zhao Xiaolan was particularly fond of Wu ngting, focusing most of her attention on this prospective daughter-in-law, treating Guo ngyao kindly but only on the surface.
Guo ngyao noticed, feeling sowhat defeated. Although she had mostly given up the idea of marrying Chen Feng, her instinct was still to build a good relationship with his family, especially Zhao Xiaolan.
Unfortunately, it seems that the results are not very significant.
Everyone ate, drank, chatted, and laughed, with Little Yu and Little Xue as the mood boosters, often making everyone laugh heartily.
This reunion dinner was a joyful one.
Starting around six o’clock, it lasted until almost nine in the evening.
Guo ngyao drank beer because she was "happy," and naturally couldn’t drive, so she suggested Chen Feng find a hotel in town for her to stay at. Zhao Xiaolan imdiately said she should stay at their house.
Now, Chen Rui’s family had moved into a new ho, leaving two empty rooms on the third floor, so Guo ngyao could certainly stay overnight.
Additionally, if Wu ngting didn’t mind, she could share the independent room with her.
Wu ngting proactively suggested sharing the room with her, and after a mont’s hesitation, Guo ngyao agreed.
Chen Feng was puzzled, not understanding why Wu ngting was taking such good care of Guo ngyao.
After the banquet, Chen Feng went to his old room upstairs, leaving the new room behind the kitchen for Wu ngting, now with Guo ngyao joining.
The two won returned to the room, and after closing the door, Wu ngting asked, "Do you want to shower?"
Guo ngyao shook her head, "No need, I didn’t bring any change of clothes."
"Then I’ll go shower first."
When Wu ngting finished showering and ca out, it was already half an hour later, and during this ti, Guo ngyao quietly sat on the bed watching TV.
"Finished showering?" Guo ngyao asked a redundant question.
"Yes. Aren’t you going to lie down and rest? I saw you drank two bottles of beer."
"Do you have disposable towels? I’ll wash my face first."
"I do, I’ll get them for you. I also have a brand new unseen pair of night pants, I can give them to you, so you can change into them after your shower."
"Alright, thank you."
"You’re welco."
Wu ngting then got her the towel and night pants.
Guo ngyao was faster, exiting the bathroom after about twenty minutes.
Both won had showered, and unconcerned, they lay side by side on the bed watching TV.
"You..."
"You..."
Both spoke almost simultaneously.
Then Guo ngyao spoke, "You go first."
Wu ngting didn’t feign politeness and asked, "What’s your current situation with Chen Feng? Has he promised to marry you in the future?"
Guo ngyao paused before shaking her head, "No. He’s not the type to make careless promises."
After she spoke, she paused and asked Wu ngting, "Did he promise you anything?"
Wu ngting nodded, "Yes, he promised to formally establish a romantic relationship with this month and that we would be engaged by the end of the year."
"Did he really promise you?" Guo ngyao expressed disbelief.
"Yes, he did promise." Wu ngting said calmly, "Originally, last year, we had already established a romantic relationship, but later he was afraid of letting down, so we beca like siblings again. Eventually, he promised to re-establish our relationship by this month."
Guo ngyao felt a pang of bitterness in her heart and couldn’t help but ask, "Did he say that once he re-established his relationship with you, he’d break up with other won?"
"Although he didn’t say so explicitly, I think he would do that," Wu ngting turned to her, "However, I can give him a transition period and allow up to two options."
"What does that an?" Guo ngyao frowned and asked.
Wu ngting explained, "It ans giving him so ti to break up with other won."
"How do those two options work?"
"I’m allowing him two slots for other lovers, but those two choices must be approved by ."
