Now reading: Chapter 157 - 117 Such a Sister from After my divorce, I started to have good luck, a Drama novel by Anpingtai.

Lunch was exceptionally hearty, with Sun Xiaorui and Wu ngting collaboratively preparing several dishes. Both Chen Feng and Lin Wan praised the al incessantly.

The culinary skills of the two were equally impressive, with slight differences in taste since they hailed from different cuisines.

But Chen Feng liked both.

If possible, Chen Feng would have really liked them to cook for him every day.

But that was sowhat impossible.

On the surface, the two seed amiable, but it was clear they didn’t see eye to eye.

Occasionally having them together was fine, but every day would likely lead to fireworks.

After the al, Wu ngting and Sun Xiaorui pretended to courteously vie for the task of clearing the table and washing the dishes.

Chen Feng watched with a headache and said irritably, "Today Little Rui will clean up, tomorrow ngting will."

Only once Chen Feng said this did they both calm down.

Chen Feng sat himself down on the sofa, and soon after, Wu ngting brought him a pot of tea.

Just as Chen Feng lifted the cup, Sun Xiaorui ca over with another teapot, smiling, "ngting, you may not know, but Brother Feng prefers flower tea instead of black or green tea."

Wu ngting also said with a smile, "What’s the fun in drinking flower tea every day? Changing flavors occasionally is also nice."

Really...

"Enough, the two of you," Chen Feng interrupted their act impatiently, "Do you think I can’t tell that you two are jealous of each other? Less talk from both of you. I like both types of tea; just put them down."

Seeing Chen Feng slightly upset, both won beca obedient.

Sun Xiaorui obediently went to wash the dishes.

While Wu ngting sat quietly beside Chen Feng, looking at her phone.

Chen Feng sipped tea while watching the TV news.

Lin Wan prudently went upstairs, to avoid being an eyesore to Chen Feng.

During a comrcial break, Wu ngting asked, "Brother, you’re not running your store anymore, will you just leave it empty? Any plans to sublet it?"

"For now, let’s leave it be. I haven’t planned on subletting; I might use it myself later."

"But how can you do that? The rent for one month must be over ten thousand, isn’t it a waste to leave it empty?"

Chen Feng thought about it and decided not to reveal the truth: he had already bought the shop, so he wasn’t worried about leaving it vacant.

"Well, there’s no helping it. The location of the shop isn’t bad. I might do so other business in the future."

"How long have you rented this shop for?"

"...I didn’t rent it, I bought it."

Chen Feng didn’t want to lie to her, especially over sothing so trivial.

"You bought it?" Wu ngting’s eyes widened, "Where did you get so much money?"

She knew sothing about the real estate prices in the area as she lived there, and shop prices were evidently higher than residential property. She estimated that Chen Feng’s art shop would have cost at least five to six million.

In her mind, Chen Feng might have had so money, but at most one or two million, if that much. Otherwise, why would he rent a place to live instead of buying one?

Now that Chen Feng was saying he had purchased a shop worth five or six million, she was undoubtedly shocked.

"Actually, I have so money, but not that much. I had good luck recently, went all in on a stock, and made so money, which was just enough to buy this shop."

"Your luck must be really good then. You made several million just like that?" Wu ngting was sowhat incredulous.

"Yeah. After my divorce, I’ve really been lucky, otherwise, I wouldn’t have t you... guys."

Chen Feng almost slipped up, but managed to catch himself in ti.

"Even if the shop is yours, you shouldn’t leave it empty like that. If you can’t think of any other business, you might as well rent it out. You would earn at least ten to twenty thousand a month."

"We’ll see. It might still be useful."

When it ca to the shop, Chen Feng thought of the milk tea shop Xiao Ya wanted to open.

He would see, and if she couldn’t find a suitable shop, it wasn’t impossible to let her use his, since it was unoccupied anyway.

Additionally, the rent for the shop could certainly be counted toward the investnt.

However, Chen Feng definitely wouldn’t haggle over too much with Xiao Ya. When the ti ca, he would certainly consider giving her a bigger share of the business.

After all, she was soone he had been intimate with; even if he didn’t like her personality and ambitious nature, Chen Feng wouldn’t be heartless—he certainly intended to look out for her.

"It seems Waner was right. You really are rich. And here you were, pretending to be poor around before," Wu ngting said with mixed emotions.

Chen Feng laughed and replied, "I’m not as rich as you think. And I’ve spent quite a bit of money lately. Also, don’t ntion the shop matter to anyone. You know how greedy she is, if she finds out, who knows, she might sneak into my bed in the middle of the night."

"Get lost. She’s not that kind of person. If she really wanted to find a rich man, there are plenty. She’s a female broadcaster, and there are many bosses who want to ask her out."

"Do real bosses watch live streams?" Chen Feng said disdainfully.

"You never know. According to her, there really are big spenders on their live streaming platform who can give tens to hundreds of millions in tips to a broadcaster. It’s not fake."

"Regardless, you should just be cautious of her. Don’t tell her about my business."

"Fine. I won’t tell her. But is there anything else you’re hiding from ? Don’t forget, I’m now your sister. You said you would treat like a real sister."

Wu ngting was really imrsing herself ever more in the role of Chen Feng’s sister.

Chen Feng thought about it and felt that since he already disclosed the shop’s situation, there seed to be no need to hide anything from her anymore. As long as she kept it a secret, it should be fine.
