This was undoubtedly very convenient.
The staff quickly made a phone call to one of their local managers, who arrived in just a few minutes. He was a chubby middle-aged man with an honest face, wearing glasses, and had a friendly deanor. His speech was straightforward. When he saw that Chen Feng wanted to buy the "Snow Village," he flipped through a work notebook and said, "For this photography piece, Zhang Shan’s minimum asking price is eight thousand, but I can authorise the lowest price for you. However, you need to add two thousand for taxes and so other fees on our end. That makes it exactly ten thousand."
This price was actually quite affordable for Chen Feng.
In fact, for Chen Feng, this photography piece was far from worth that price.
But now with the manager being so straightforward and giving a fixed price, Chen Feng obviously wouldn’t be foolish enough to offer a higher price himself.
If the person negotiating right now had been Zhang Shan, Chen Feng might have voluntarily added more, anticipating the next deal.
After hesitating for a while, Chen Feng nodded and said, "Alright. Ten thousand it is."
"Deal!" The manager happily extended his hand for a firm handshake with Chen Feng. In fact, Zhang Shan had originally agreed that anything above five thousand was acceptable since Zhang Shan was just an amateur photographer. Selling an amateur photograph for more than five thousand was certainly a profit.
Chen Feng paid the money, the other party issued a receipt, and helped with the packing; everything was finalized in about fifteen minutes.
Additionally, Chen Feng asked for the contact number of the photographer, Zhang Shan.
After leaving the creative base, Chen Feng called Zhang Shan, revealed that he had bought the "Snow Village" he had photographed, and asked if there were other works at his ho, expressing a desire to go and take a look.
Zhang Shan was very pleased upon hearing that Chen Feng had spent ten thousand on his photography work. He was of course very welcoming about the visit.
Zhang Shan currently resided at Mo County, and they soon agreed to et the following afternoon.
This was the first ti Chen Feng had found a photography work that t his criteria, which was quite a surprise. Previously, he had assud that only calligraphy and painting could et his requirents for absorbing intangible energy, but now it seed that was not the case; photography works could too.
So could it an that other types of artworks might also be relevant? Such as those previously completely excluded by him.
This discovery pleasantly surprised Chen Feng, and he wanted to return to his hotel room imdiately to experience the photograph.
However, the three won accompanying him couldn’t quite grasp his joy.
After he finished the call, Wu ngting said, "Brother, this photographer Zhang Shan isn’t even famous. I couldn’t find anything about him online. You spent ten thousand on one of his works; the price is a bit high. If you’re going to look at more works at his place tomorrow, you can’t keep paying this price."
"In my eyes, this photography work is worth a hundred thousand, let alone ten thousand."
The three won exchanged looks.
Lin Wan saw an opportunity and said, "Brother Feng, want to show up in the cara? The viewers in the live stream are quite curious about you; they all want to et the wealthy tycoon you are."
"Get lost!" Chen Feng bluntly refused.
Lin Wan had no choice but to turn to the live stream cara with a look of grievance, seeking comfort from the viewers, "You all heard him. It’s not that I won’t let him appear on cara; he just doesn’t want to be on it. There’s nothing I can do. Can everyone comfort my wounded heart, please? A super gift will do!"
Sure enough, a wealthy viewer imdiately sent her a super gift, which made the live chat very lively.
Lin Wan quickly thanked that generous viewer, together with Sun Xiaorui and Wu ngting.
Chen Feng went straight back to the hotel, while the three won continued to live stream and shop.
Chen Feng just let them be.
Back in the hotel room, Chen Feng stared at the photography work and quickly entered the familiar state of ditation, beginning the energy absorption.
When he ca out of the ditative state, he checked his phone and realized that over thirty minutes had passed.
This effect truly surprised Chen Feng.
After all, this was just a photography piece, not a painting or calligraphy.
It was unknown whether there would be more surprises at Zhang Shan’s place tomorrow.
In the evening, Chen Feng and the three won had a good al. This ti, Lin Wan treated them as she had earned a significant amount from her live stream, so she was quite generous.
The next morning, Chen Feng went ice skating and skiing with the three won, spending the entire morning.
After lunch, Chen Feng said he wanted to go to the county, and Sun Xiaorui and Wu ngting both said they would join. Lin Wan had no choice but to follow along.
Chen Feng didn’t want to go to the county town alone in the ice and snow, so he brought them along.
They were in luck, as the bus arrived just as they were about to board.
Then, they smoothly made it to Mo County, took a taxi to Zhang Shan’s house, and t Zhang Shan, an amateur photographer, a plain Northeastern man in his forties whose day job was running a specialty store.
This really... left Chen Feng sowhat speechless.
Zhang Shan had many photography works, one room of which was specifically used for storage.
The smaller sizes were the most abundant, there were so large sizes too, but not many.
Chen Feng started with the large sizes first, went through them one by one without finding anything, then swiftly skimd through the smaller ones, also to no avail.
By then, more than an hour had passed, and the three won who had co with him had already left Zhang Shan’s house half an hour earlier. They clearly weren’t much interested in these photography works.
"Do you have any other works besides these?"
Chen Feng felt disappointed, and so did Zhang Shan. He had thought Chen Feng was a big buyer, but after scouring his works for so long, not a single one caught his eye.
"Other works... I have two hanging in my bedroom, another one in the other bedroom and three in the living room, one by the door. You can take a look."
"Sure, I’ll take a look."
Chen Feng went to take a look, hoping for the best, and surprisingly found one in the living room. Then, the two in his bedroom were landscape photos.
He had unexpectedly acquired three pieces, clearly a pleasant surprise.
Chen Feng imdiately looked at the honest Northeastern uncle with eyes as if he were looking at a prized cow.
"I like these three, how much are you asking?" Chen Feng said straightforwardly.
"This... all together... fifty thousand?" The Northeast uncle hesitated with his offer and hurriedly added, "These three paintings are favorites of mine and my family, especially my wife. The two in the bedroom were chosen by her to hang there, and now if I sell them and the price is too low, she will definitely give a hard ti when she cos back. Plus, all three are large-sized."
Seeing him like this, Chen Feng couldn’t help but be amused and didn’t haggle, nodding and saying, "Deal! That’s the price."
"Ah, you agree?" Zhang Shan was a bit surprised.
Chen Feng chuckled, "You’re also a businessman. You don’t look like you’re good at this."
"Haha, sorry. I’m really not quite suited for business. The shop is managed by my wife. So it’s fifty thousand? I’ll package them for you."
"Sure, wrap them up. Let’s add each other on WeChat, and I’ll transfer the money to you right away. Also, if you create new works in the future, contact imdiately on WeChat, send videos and pictures, and I’ll buy them right away."
Zhang Shan was overjoyed, "That’d be great. Thanks, boss. With a big buyer like you, my wife and family will surely support my photography even more."
Zhang Shan fetched so cardboard boxes and foam paper, then carefully packed the three works.
The two added each other on WeChat, and Chen Feng promptly transferred the paynt.
Zhang Shan, thrilled, clung onto Chen Feng’s hand offering to treat him to a al and drinks, but Chen Feng managed to kindly decline his enthusiasm.
After eting up with the three won, they visited another tourist spot and then headed back to Beiji Village.
The second night passed, and on the third day, the four of them set off for their next stop.
So tourist sites they stayed for only one night, but if there was sothing fun to do or if it happened to coincide with Chen Feng going to see an art exhibition or et local painters, they would stay an additional one or two days.
Thus, the four of them traveled from place to place, a month flew by swiftly.
During that ti, Chen Feng had also managed to collect a dozen useful paintings and calligraphies, though he didn’t collect any more photography works.
That day, the four finally arrived in Beijing. Among them, only Wu ngting had not been there before.
Of course, although the other three had visited before, they were still quite unfamiliar with Beijing. There were many places they hadn’t visited.
Or, to say that there were too many fun places in Beijing, all four decided to thoroughly enjoy themselves this ti in Beijing.
