"Alright, see you then."

After hanging up the phone, Chen Feng said to the two won, "Tonight, we are going to Yujing Hotel for a buffet dinner."
Wu ngting asked, "Is Qin Zhen back with his girlfriend?"
"Mm-hmm."
"Are they eting the parents, preparing for a wedding?" Wu ngting asked with so envy.
"I’m not sure."
Wu ngting nodded thoughtfully.
Lin Yujiao hesitated before asking, "Should I also go?"
"Of course," Chen Feng replied without hesitation, then explained, "The guy I was just on the phone with is my buddy, Qin Zhen. He’s currently the Deputy Chief of a police station in Xiu Zhou, but he’s from our county. His girlfriend, Ning Wei, works at a bank over there and is a bit arrogant, so just interact with her less when the ti cos."
Upon hearing this introduction from Chen Feng, Lin Yujiao imdiately felt inferior again. A Deputy Chief and a bank employee seed like a completely different world to her, with a totally different social circle.
"Wouldn’t it be inappropriate for to go? Maybe when we get to the county, I should take a taxi and go ho."
"What’s inappropriate?" Chen Feng said in a relaxed tone, "You are my companion, my temporary girlfriend. My buddy knows about it, so don’t worry. It won’t be embarrassing for you."
Lin Yujiao forced a smile and said, "You might as well just introduce as your lover instead. What’s this ’temporary girlfriend’? It makes sound like I’m for sale."
"Don’t overthink it. It’s just a dinner. When the ti cos, I’ll just say you’re my friend. They won’t ask too much. You are my woman now, and introducing my buddy to you shows how much I value you, understand?"
Moved by his words, Lin Yujiao quickly said, "Alright then. Since you want to go, I’ll go."
Wu ngting, sitting in the front passenger seat, couldn’t help but pout slightly.
About half an hour later, the car arrived at Yujing Hotel.
After parking, the trio got out of the car and walked to the hotel entrance, just as another couple was coming from the other direction. The two groups faced each other.
"Chen Feng?!"
The woman opposite Chen Feng called out to him, a look of surprise on her face.
Chen Feng looked at her with so astonishnt. She was about 165 centiters tall, slightly plump, with a lon seed-shaped face and phoenix eyes, bright eyes and white teeth. Her hair was in a bun, and she wore black tight pants with a coffee-colored mid-length trench coat that was open, revealing a white, tight, high-necked sweater hugging her fine figure, very curvaceous—a charming young matron.
Judging by her appearance, she seed to be around twenty-five or twenty-six years old.
Chen Feng didn’t recognize her at first, finding her familiar only, until a young girl’s smiling face from his past suddenly overlapped with the woman in front of him, and he blurted out, "Guo ngyao!"
As soon as the matron heard Chen Feng call her na, she happily said, "Old classmate, it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. I thought you wouldn’t recognize ."
"It really has been a long ti. At least ten years," Chen Feng remarked with so emotion.
Guo ngyao thought for a mont and said, "It should be eleven years. We haven’t seen each other since the end of our college entrance exams. You weren’t at several class reunions."
At this mont, the middle-aged man beside Guo ngyao spoke, "ngyao, let’s talk inside. Don’t block the entrance."
"Oh, right, let’s talk inside."
Guo ngyao led the way into the hotel and then stopped in the lobby’s lounge area, turned around with a smile, and quickly sized up Chen Feng and his companions, Lin Yujiao and Wu ngting.
"ngyao, it looks like you’re doing quite well. Are you a boss now?" Chen Feng casually inquired.
The two had been classmates for three years in high school, and they had even been desk-mates during the last two years, maintaining a pretty good relationship.
"I think it’s you who is doing well. You’ve got two beautiful won by your side. How should I address them?"
Guo ngyao countered with a question.
Chen Feng casually introduced the two won, "Lin Yujiao, Wu ngting, both are my friends. And this handso man by your side, how should I address him?"
"Xue Jun, my business partner," Guo ngyao also casually introduced the middle-aged man next to her, then laughed, "I’ve been doing business out of town in recent years. I’ve been thinking of coming back these past two years. How about you?"
"I’ve been working in Xiu Zhou since graduating from university. I’m just ho for the New Year."
"You didn’t get into business?" Guo ngyao asked incredulously.
"No, just occasionally dabbling in stocks."
Guo ngyao looked at him skeptically but didn’t probe further. Instead, she asked, "Are you here for dinner?"
Chen Feng nodded, "Yes, Qin Zhen and I arranged to et here for the buffet on the ninth floor."
"Oh, the buffet on the ninth floor? I heard it’s pretty good, but I’ve never had the chance to try it."
In the middle of the conversation, Xue Jun interjected, "ngyao, it’s about ti. We shouldn’t keep others waiting too long."
Guo ngyao looked at her delicate wristwatch and told Xue Jun, "You go ahead. I’ll catch up after chatting with my old classmate for a bit more."
"That’s not a good idea," Xue Jun frowned.
"That’s settled then. You go ahead," Guo ngyao firmly said.
Xue Jun’s face darkened slightly, but he didn’t say anything more, just glanced at Guo ngyao and then at Chen Feng before turning around and leaving.
"Sorry about that. He’s always in such a hurry," Guo ngyao said with a renewed smile, "I’ve t Qin Zhen a few tis before. I heard he’s now retired from the military and beca the Deputy Chief at a police station. Quite a promising future. Of all our classmates in governnt positions, he seems to be the most successful."
