Chen Feng was startled, quickly stopped his steps, almost crashing into her, and stared at the woman angrily, then inadvertently exclaid, "Oh shit!"
"Haha, what a surprise! I never expected we’d et here. Don’t tell you’re living here too."
Hong Xiaodan laughed heartily, seeing Chen Feng’s face like he’d seen a ghost, arms akimbo.
She couldn’t believe eting Chen Feng by chance on this side of Red Villa Bay; she was amazed when she first saw him running from the opposite side, thinking she must be seeing things, and when she realized it, Chen Feng was almost past her.
So, once she collected herself, she quickly turned around, chased after him, and blocked him. It really wasn’t intentional to scare him.
Chen Feng was feeling exasperated at this mont! He knew fate was playing tricks on him again.
What happened to no more bad romance?
Last ti, he lanted that fate wouldn’t send him bad romance anymore, yet here it was, thrown in front of him without a hint.
Simple and crude.
"You live here now?" Chen Feng asked instead of answering.
Hong Xiaodan, still smiling brightly, her eyes curving into crescents. She was genuinely happy to unexpectedly reunite with Chen Feng. "Yeah, my family bought two units here when it first launched. We rented one out and kept one. I’m living in E08 now, where are you living?"
Upon hearing her apartnt number, Chen Feng couldn’t help but murmur another "Oh shit" in his mind.
"Co on, say it, where do you live? Don’t tell you’re afraid I’ll co over for a free al?" Hong Xiaodan urged, laughing.
Feeling speechless inside, Chen Feng honestly reported his apartnt number: "E06."
"No way! Really? You live right next door? The building next to mine?"
Hong Xiaodan widened her eyes in surprise; this couldn’t simply be called a coincidence but was really incredibly uncanny! If she weren’t sure that Chen Feng had no designs on her, she’d even suspect he had been scheming on her all along.
Chen Feng also knew this was really too incredible, but he still said it. It was better to say it outright since they were neighbors now, sooner or later they’d run into each other. Might as well get it out of the way, especially since he had two won at ho, he wasn’t afraid she’d cling to him anymore.
"Alright, I need to continue my run, you see..."
Chen Feng didn’t want to continue discussing this seemingly incredibly coincidental and fated incident, wisely steering the conversation elsewhere.
"Oh! Okay!" Hong Xiaodan regained her composure a bit from the shock; she had felt it was too miraculous and too fateful, causing her to be montarily lost in thought.
She even thought it was a divine arrangent aiming for them to beco a couple eventually. Thus, she gazed at Chen Feng even more fondly.
Uncomfortable with her gaze, Chen Feng quickly changed the subject, and seeing she hadn’t fully recovered, he bypassed her and continued running.
Hong Xiaodan wouldn’t let him run away just like that, quickly catching up, and ran alongside him.
"Hey, Chen Feng, don’t you think this is really a great fate?" Hong Xiaodan boldly said, lacking any typical girl’s restraint.
Chen Feng rolled his eyes at her, letting her fathom his feelings, then ran on in silence, increasing his pace forward.
"Wait for , don’t run so fast!" Hong Xiaodan hurriedly speeded up to chase him.
However, a few minutes later, Chen Feng had managed to leave her well behind.
Yet, Hong Xiaodan wasn’t dumb. With a swift thought, she ran straight to the villa entrance where Chen Feng lived to wait for him.
Indeed, not long later, Chen Feng ran back.
"Haha, Chen Feng, you might outrun the monk but not the temple," Hong Xiaodan looked at him with smug satisfaction.
Chen Feng chuckled as well, politely offering, "Since you’re waiting at my door, why not co in for a drink?"
Hong Xiaodan paused slightly, then nodded in agreent, "Sure."
Thus, Chen Feng led her into his villa, changed shoes at the foyer, and turned to see Wu ngting watching TV in the living room, and Sun Xiaorui busy in the kitchen.
The two won were in casual wear, looking relaxed, especially Wu ngting lying directly on the sofa like she was at ho, which she essentially was.
Hong Xiaodan was stunned on the spot seeing this scene, her face shifting through various expressions.
