He rushed to the third floor in one breath, and of course, the door was locked.

However, after they got married, they replaced the house’s main door with a brand-new electronic security door, which can be opened with fingerprints or a password.

Chen Feng instinctively tried his fingerprint, but it didn’t work, so he tried the password, and surprisingly... it opened.

However, Chen Feng didn’t imdiately push the door open. He stood at the doorway and called Shen Lin’s phone again, hearing the ringtone coming from inside, but despite ringing for a while, it wasn’t answered.

Seeing this, Chen Feng no longer hesitated. He imdiately pushed the door open and walked in, familiar with the place, turned on the light without taking off his shoes, and quickly walked in.

He went straight to their old bedroom, the door was open, the phone ringtone was still ringing, and from the doorway, he could see Shen Lin lying motionless on the bed.

It was almost six in the morning, and daylight was breaking. Although the curtains were drawn in the room, one could vaguely see the person on the bed.

Standing at the bedroom doorway, Chen Feng’s heart skipped a beat, and he was montarily hesitant to check more closely, but eventually, he walked in, stood by the bed, and looked down at Shen Lin, who was lying still with her eyes tightly closed.

He slowly reached out his hand, bringing his fingers close to her nose, and after a while, he finally felt her breathing from her nostrils, and then he breathed a big sigh of relief. His legs went a bit limp, almost sitting down, but luckily he held onto the edge of the bed and managed not to fall.

To be honest, Chen Feng was truly frightened by her this ti.

If Shen Lin really committed suicide due to their failed marriage, he would feel guilty for a lifeti.

After calming down, Chen Feng felt both apprehensive and sowhat angry, so he imdiately reached out and gently slapped Shen Lin’s face a bit, but she didn’t respond. He then pushed her shoulder harder and called her na several tis, yet there was still no response.

Seeing her like this made Chen Feng panic again. He imdiately turned on the light to check her condition, and soon found an empty dicine bottle on the bedside table labeled "Alprazolam Tablets." A quick search on his phone revealed it as a sleeping pill.

At that mont, Chen Feng tensed up, and he didn’t care about anything else anymore. He quickly pulled back her covers. She was wearing pajamas, so there was no risk of exposure.

He imdiately picked her up horizontally and ran towards the door. He now had significantly increased strength and physique, so lifting her was very easy.

A dozen minutes later, Chen Feng carried her to the ergency room of the nearest hospital.

It wasn’t long before Chen Feng got the conclusion from the ergency doctor that Shen Lin had taken a slightly excessive amount of sleeping pills, but it wasn’t fatal, and there’s no need for gastric lavage or anything like that. If worried, she could be kept in the hospital for observation until she woke up.

To be safe, Chen Feng opted for hospital observation, and he requested a private room and hired a caregiver aunt to look after her. According to the doctor’s estimation, she wouldn’t wake up until at least noon, and Chen Feng couldn’t just foolishly wait until then.

With money, everything is easier.

He left the hospital first and went back to Red Villa Bay. Having gotten up so early and hurried to find Shen Lin, he hadn’t washed his face or brushed his teeth, and of course, hadn’t eaten breakfast.

When he returned ho, Sun and Wu, the two won, were already up and having breakfast.

Seeing Chen Feng return, the two won exchanged a tacit glance, and Wu ngting asked, "Brother, where did you go so early?"

"Nowhere, just went out for a walk."

Of course, Chen Feng couldn’t tell them about Shen Lin taking sleeping pills, so he replied evasively and went over to eat the breakfast they had prepared.

Though the two won were puzzled, they didn’t press further since Chen Feng didn’t say more.

After finishing breakfast, Chen Feng went upstairs to wash his face and brush his teeth.

In the past, at this ti, he would either be in the living room browsing his phone or watching TV, or on the roof deck with his phone, but he didn’t feel like browsing his phone at this mont.

His mind was a bit chaotic. He didn’t know if this incident was a trap Shen Lin had intentionally set, just to lure him in, but it might also have been a coincidence, or perhaps he was overthinking it.

The text from Shen Lin saying "See you in the next life if fated" might not necessarily be her last words to him, and taking a slightly excessive amount of sleeping pills might not an she was trying to commit suicide; she might have really had insomnia.

But the worst-case scenario was that if she really was committing suicide this ti, then things would beco complicated and difficult to handle.

This was quite a headache for Chen Feng, because although he no longer had any feelings for her, after all, they had been together for five or six years, and they had once been in love and happy. It’s not like he could just watch her die, right?

Hopefully, it’s just a misunderstanding.

That’s all Chen Feng could hope for now.

No mood for phone browsing, and even less for watching TV. Chen Feng simply took a shower and changed into a new set of clothes.

Then he went downstairs and saw Liu Ying sitting in the living room, chatting with Sun and Wu, watching TV intermittently.

It was only a little after eight in the morning, and Liu Ying coming over so early made Chen Feng frown slightly.

He doesn’t like people entering his private space without permission, even if it’s Liu Ying, the woman he is indirectly supporting.

"Chen Feng, I made so egg tarts for you to try."

Upon seeing Chen Feng coming down, Liu Ying eagerly presented a tray, smiling as she showcased it.

Chen Feng was already in a bad mood, and although he didn’t directly show her a cold face, he didn’t give her much attention either, shaking his head, "I don’t like this stuff, and I can’t eat it. Too high in sugar and calories; eating too much will make you fat."

"Oh... alright then." Liu Ying put down the tray, visibly disappointed and sowhat dejected.

Chen Feng didn’t bother to comfort her. He personally doesn’t really like eating Western pastries now; their calorie content is just too high. If you eat it often, forget about losing weight.

"I’m going out for a bit. I might not be back for lunch."

Chen Feng said to Sun and Wu before heading towards the door.

"Brother, where are you going?" Among the three won, only Wu ngting asked directly.

Chen Feng glanced at her, "Just going out for a walk. That’s it, you all make your own arrangents for lunch."

Saying that, Chen Feng left without looking back.

After exchanging glances, the three won stood silent for a mont before Liu Ying spoke up, "What’s worth going out for this early?"

Wu ngting gave her a slight glance, "That’s sothing you’d have to ask him yourself."

Liu Ying could feel Wu ngting’s coldness and alienation, but she neither got angry nor showed any intention of leaving right away. Instead, she changed the topic, "Still, this villa looks bright, and living here must be comfortable. You have a better fate than . I originally planned to move here, but Chen Feng didn’t agree. Sigh!"
