Lin Yujiao’s ssage was pretty much the sa as always, so Chen Feng once again sent her a gif of a pat on the head with the phrase "keep up the good work." Lin Yujiao quickly replied with a silly smile emoji.
Finally, Chen Feng checked the ssage from Qin Xiaorou. She had gone to study in Flag Country, but she still sent him WeChat ssages every so often, clearly not wanting to cut off contact.
Her latest ssage was quite interesting, saying that her mom, Liu ijun, was having so challenges at work. Since Qin Xiaorou wasn’t around to support her and Liu ijun was feeling very lonely at night, she suggested that if Chen Feng had the ti, he could totally reach out to her mother, maybe et up as friends for a al or sothing.
Chen Feng was really amazed by this bizarre idea, but it was simply impossible for him to take the initiative to contact Liu ijun.
Chen Feng pretended not to see this ssage and didn’t bother to reply.
After going through unread ssages, Chen Feng browsed his phone for a while, and it wasn’t long before Sun Xiaorui ca upstairs, turned off the lights, and went to bed.
Wearing a set of casual ho clothes, Sun Xiaorui climbed into bed naturally and snuggled up in his arms.
"Brother Feng, have you ever thought about remarrying that high school classmate you ntioned?"
Chen Feng gently pinched her perkiness and replied with a smile, "Why are you suddenly concerned about this?"
"Of course I should be concerned, otherwise, if you dump one day without knowing, that would be bad."
"Don’t worry. A woman like you who is so caring, considerate, and with excellent cooking skills—why would I ever dump you?
I can promise you that even if I remarry, as long as you’re willing, we can continue as usual."
Hearing such a promise from Chen Feng, Sun Xiaorui couldn’t help but feel a pang of bitterness in her heart. Clearly, being the third wheel wasn’t what she wanted, but since Chen Feng put it that way, what else could she say?
The next morning, Chen Feng went for a run with Wu ngting, and unsurprisingly, they ran into Hong Xiaodan, who pretended to be familiar and ran alongside them.
Neither of them paid her much attention, but she just stuck close to them, leaving Chen Feng and Wu ngting feeling quite exasperated.
"How about we go for a picnic in the next few days? The weather’s perfect now."
Hong Xiaodan suggested, jogging alongside them.
Wu ngting replied on Chen Feng’s behalf, "Not interested. We’re both very busy these days, no ti."
Hong Xiaodan looked sowhat unwilling and asked Chen Feng, "What do you say, Chen Feng?"
"ngting’s already said it, no ti. Maybe another ti," Chen Feng replied dismissively, picking up the pace and soon leaving the two won far behind.
After finishing the run and showering at ho, Chen Feng went downstairs and saw that ngting had also finished her shower and was waiting in the living room, having changed clothes.
"Brother, you need to co up with a plan. That Hong Xiaodan hasn’t given up on you. If she does sothing extre in the future, that wouldn’t be good."
"So what do you suggest?" Chen Feng asked in return.
"I can’t think of anything either. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be asking you."
"Alright. Anyway, I’m not planning to get involved with soone like Hong Xiaodan, so there’s no need to worry."
Wu ngting said hatefully, "She’s really shaless, always clinging to you and taking advantage."
"Alright, let’s eat first. After breakfast, we’ll head out to et Guo ngyao and her daughter."
Chen Feng urged Wu ngting and Sun Xiaorui to have breakfast together.
After breakfast, Chen Feng took Wu ngting to Lakefront Villa to et Guo ngyao and her daughter.
When they arrived, the mother and daughter happened to be playing in the yard.
As expected, Wu ngting fell in love with Qianqian at first sight, and Qianqian felt the sa. The two of them imdiately began to play together.
"Have you had breakfast?" Chen Feng asked Guo ngyao.
"Just so snacks, so let’s say yes," Guo ngyao answered casually.
"That won’t do. You might be fine with that, but your daughter can’t just eat snacks for a al, right?"
"You’re right, but I’m not familiar with this place. Where can I get breakfast for my daughter?"
"Alright, today we’ll take you to the supermarket to buy so stuff. Afterward, you can prepare breakfast yourself."
"...Okay, anyway, it’s not like I have anything else to do," Guo ngyao replied.
After chatting for a while, the four of them headed out together, with Chen Feng pushing a shopping cart behind them.
Strolling along the lake embanknt, visiting one scenic spot after another, and occasionally posting a beautified photo to their social dia, the enthusiasm of the two won remained high.
Finally, around noon, Chen Feng took them to a nearby so-called Michelin restaurant for lunch.
This restaurant’s layout and decor were quite exquisite, making it a pleasant environnt.
The nu featured dishes from both dostic and international cuisines, which surprised Chen Feng, and he picked a few that caught his eye. He also ordered a bottle of low-alcohol champagne.
Neither Wu ngting nor Guo ngyao were shy, each selecting a few dishes as well.
While waiting for the food, Chen Feng suddenly noticed Liu ijun at three o’clock. She was sitting with another woman, who looked to be in her forties or fifties, eating and chatting.
Initially, Liu ijun didn’t notice him, but once Chen Feng looked her way, she finally saw him. Without hesitation, she stood up and walked over to greet him.
"Chen Feng, what a coincidence that we ran into each other here! It’s been a long ti."
Seeing this, Chen Feng responded graciously, "Yes, it’s been a while."
"Are you dining with your girlfriend?"
As Liu ijun was speaking, she glanced at Wu ngting and Guo ngyao, who were sitting with Chen Feng. Both won were undoubtedly beauties, but Wu ngting had the advantage of youth and a unique charm that made her more attractive.
Guo ngyao was also quite remarkable—a perfect-bodied mature woman, very alluring to n.
"Yeah, just taking my friends for a tour of East Lake."
"Alright, then. I’ll let you get back to it, won’t interrupt."
Having said that, Liu ijun turned and walked away. Still single, every ti she saw others showing off their romance, it made her feel uneasy.
After she left, Wu ngting and Guo ngyao quietly inquired about her and learned she was Chen Feng’s forr employer. It left them feeling a bit odd, though they couldn’t pinpoint exactly why.
After finishing their al, Liu ijun went out of her way to bid farewell to Chen Feng.
"Chen Feng, if you’re free, feel free to visit our company. Your position is still there for you."
"Thanks for the kind offer, but I really don’t need that job now. You might as well fill my position."
"Ah, such a pity," Liu ijun sighed. "The company missed out on such a talent like you. If I had taken over earlier, we might have turned things around by now."
