Chen Feng’s worries turned out to be well-founded. In the afternoon, he received a ssage from Jin Xinyan, formally inviting him to her house for dinner the day after tomorrow to celebrate her birthday.

Chen Feng wasn’t too surprised by the ssage, judging from Jin Yongnian’s flattering attitude toward Chairman Li at lunch.
Since this was a serious matter, Chen Feng felt it wouldn’t be appropriate not to reply. He first asked about her dad’s loan, how much he was loaning, and why.
Jin Xinyan explained that her dad was taking out a loan from the bank for an import/export deal to fund the purchase of goods.
