"It's nothing, just a loose mory stick; just reinsert it, and it's fine."
Yu Xiaohui's sudden intimacy didn't captivate Chen Feng. He imdiately stood up and pushed her away.
"Take a look and see if everything's still on the computer."
Chen Feng led her to the computer, allowing her to check it for herself, while he sipped his tea, not taking a seat.
Over there, Yu Xiaohui examined the computer carefully. She hadn't lied earlier; the old computer indeed contained many of her previous docunts, including photos and videos, especially her set of artistic portraits.
"Everything's there, that's great. I was worried I'd never retrieve these things. Chen Feng, thank you. I'll treat you to a good al next ti."
"Sure, let's talk about it next ti," Chen Feng responded perfunctorily, imdiately adding, "If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave."
Yu Xiaohui half-jokingly said, "Why don't you stay here tonight? It's so spacious, and it's just living here."
Chen Feng laughed and said, "If you say it like that, I'll take it seriously."
"It'd be best if you did. Then you should stay," Yu Xiaohui smiled slightly as she looked at him.
"Thanks, but I really need to go ho to sleep tonight. I have to get up early to drive my mom tomorrow."
Yu Xiaohui knew it was impossible to keep Chen Feng; she was just testing the waters earlier.
"Okay. Anyway, soon I'll go to Xiu Zhou to find you. It's not too late to et then."
"Alright, see you then. I'll be on my way."
Chen Feng put down his tea cup, waved to Tian Xiaoman, who had been quietly sitting without saying a word, and then walked towards the door.
"I'll walk you out," Yu Xiaohui stood up, intending to see him off.
"No need."
After saying this, Chen Feng waved his hand, quickly went to the entrance to change his shoes, and opened the door, followed closely by Tian Xiaoman.
"Drive carefully and don't stay out too long. Call when you get there."
With Yu Xiaohui's reminder, Chen Feng waved to her and left.
Standing at the door, watching Chen Feng and Tian Xiaoman get into the car together, this ti Tian Xiaoman finally got her wish to sit in the passenger seat.
Yu Xiaohui secretly smirked, confident that Chen Feng wouldn't fancy this 'green tea'. He wasn't short of won and wouldn't be so desperate.
As a fellow woman and being older, Yu Xiaohui obviously understood Tian Xiaoman's intentions and knew the 'green tea' vibe she exuded.
Earlier in the car, Chen Feng had clearly told Tian Xiaoman that he wouldn't date her, let alone marry her.
If Tian Xiaoman was confident she could go for it and chose to try, she'd only be setting herself up for a fall.
Yu Xiaohui, with a bit of a wicked sense of humor, almost wanted Tian Xiaoman to go ahead and try.
In Chen Feng's car now, it was just the two of them. Initially, Tian Xiaoman stayed silent. After the car left the villa area, she timidly asked, "Brother Chen, your na is Chen Feng, not Chen Weidong, right?"
Her sudden comnt left Chen Feng a bit embarrassed. However, he didn't think there was anything wrong with using Chen Weidong as a pseudonym earlier since they weren't familiar, so he candidly replied, "Yes, my na is Chen Feng, like 'sharp blade'. Chen Weidong was a pseudonym. Since we weren't familiar, I didn't use my real na."
"Got it," Tian Xiaoman nodded obediently and thoughtfully said, "If it were , I wouldn't give out my real na the first ti we t either."
Yet internally, she was quietly complaining: "Why would revealing your real na to a gorgeous woman like matter? Must be so guarded against ; do I look like a swindler?"
"As long as you understand," Chen Feng remarked and didn't want to continue the conversation.
But how could Tian Xiaoman let such a good opportunity slip? She still hoped to flirt a bit with him—who knows, it might work?
"Brother Chen, do you live in Xiu Zhou now? When are you going back approximately?"
"Yeah, probably the day after tomorrow."
"What do you do now? Do you own a company?" Tian Xiaoman asked curiously. Although she knew Chen Feng must be a boss, she was curious about what he actually did.
"Sort of. I own a company, but I don't manage it; I have soone doing that." Chen Feng casually replied.
"Your job as a boss seems so easy," Tian Xiaoman sincerely admired.
"Can't help it, I'm lucky," Chen Feng remarked with a slight smile.
"Indeed, you are lucky," Tian Xiaoman imdiately turned into a little fan, gazing at him with twinkling eyes. "Other bosses are stressed and hands-on, but you don't manage things, yet your company still earns money. Other bosses must envy you a lot."
"How do you know I'm making money?" Chen Feng glanced at her slightly, smiling as he asked.
"If you weren't making money, how could you afford a house in Xiu Zhou or drive this luxury car?" Tian Xiaoman responded with a smile.
Chen Feng shook his head, saying, "I didn't buy a house and car with earnings from the company. It's because I won the lottery and made another fortune in the stock market."
"Oh, really? People actually win the lottery? How much did you win?" Tian Xiaoman was very surprised.
"Of course, I won tens of millions back then. That's how I could afford a house in Xiu Zhou and start a company. Otherwise, how do you think soone like , from grassroots, could afford it?"
Tian Xiaoman complinted, "You don't look like soone from grassroots at all, more like a nobleman."
"My family was farrs for generations before ; where's the nobleman's lineage in that?"
"Then you achieving such success through personal effort and hard work is truly remarkable," Tian Xiaoman continued to flatter.
Any other man, praised by a beautiful woman like her, would surely feel gratified, almost euphoric.
While Chen Feng did feel flattered, he wasn't floating on air. Everyone loves to hear complints, but the difference is, so beco conceited, and so don't.
"You're mistaken. I achieved success because of heaven's sudden favor, giving constant good luck. With my luck, I won the lottery and then had money, becoming wealthy in people's eyes and a nobleman in yours."
Tian Xiaoman felt a bit awkward and forced a smile, saying, "Luck is also part of one's capability. You certainly seem very capable."
Chen Feng, smiling, replied, "You got it right this ti. I am capable—it's just heaven's favor."
"You truly are fortunate. How many people win tens of millions from lottery tickets? Your luck really is extraordinary," Tian Xiaoman praised, genuinely this ti. If Chen Feng truly won tens of millions, his luck would indeed be astonishing.
"Sotis being too lucky isn't necessarily a good thing," Chen Feng sincerely comnted, "When everything goes smoothly, life lacks a bit of spice. Especially when being too lucky in love, it brings many troubles."
