As Leng Zirui’s grip loosened, she grabbed his wrist and fiercely bit down on his hand.
This bastard thinks Xu Xia is easy to bully?!
"Hiss!"
Leng Zirui never expected that even in this situation, the girl wouldn’t forget to retaliate. The pain made him suck in a cold breath, and he forcefully pulled his hand out from between her teeth. Looking at the bite mark she had left on his hand, he raised an angry eyebrow.
"Are you part dog?!"
Xu Xia spat out, "Yes, I’m yours!"
As the two bickered, a police car approached with two traffic officers, "What’s going on here?!"
By now, Xu Xia wasn’t nervous at all. She just nodded towards Leng Zirui, her eyes clearly telling him to handle it.
"Hello, officers!" Leng Zirui turned around to greet the two traffic officers, then took out his credentials, showing them briefly before sharply saluting them. He said sternly, "We are on a special mission, thank you both for your cooperation, the country and its people will rember you!"
The two officers, upon seeing his credentials, imdiately displayed utmost respect. They solemnly returned the salute, "We are here to serve the people, sir, your words are too kind!"
Leng Zirui nodded, "I have noted your badge numbers, thank you very much for your hard work."
"Sir, you flatter us!" The two looked flattered and offered, "Does your vehicle need assistance?"
"No need." Leng Zirui shrugged, "You may leave now."
"Goodbye, sir!"
The two traffic officers quickly turned back to their car and left.
"Spoiled brat!"
Xu Xia cursed under her breath as she sat back in her car, reversed it, and directly bumped into Leng Zirui’s car that was blocking her path, then imdiately drove forward.
Hearing the noise, Leng Zirui turned his head, watching her car fade into the distance with a playful look in his eye.
"Brat!"
Not bothering with the dented front of his car, Leng Zirui jumped into his car and started it up.
They weren’t far from the compound now. Xu Xia took a turn, glanced in the rearview mirror, and noticed Leng Zirui’s car still following hers, which made her clench her teeth in anger.
Could this guy also be going ho?!
Spotting the compound ahead, she turned her car to the gate, stopped in front of the barrier, and honked the horn.
The guard ran over promptly and saluted her, "Miss, who are you here to see?"
Xu Xia, still angry, replied with a bit of an edge, "I’m going to the Leng Family."
The guard politely replied, "Please park your car in the external slot, as it is an outside vehicle and cannot enter the premises. You can co over and register, and I will make a call to confirm."
With no choice, Xu Xia backed up and parked by the roadside. Just then, Leng Zirui’s car drove up, and the guard, recognizing his vehicle, imdiately lifted the barrier to let him pass.
Seeing this, Xu Xia quickly ran over, grabbed his car door handle, and hopped into the passenger seat.
This compound is huge; walking from here would be exhausting. If there’s a free ride, why not take it?
"General Leng?!" The guard stood to the side, looking a bit awkward.
Leng Zirui glanced sideways at Xu Xia sitting in the passenger seat and laughed, "She’s my girlfriend!"
Hearing this, the guard imdiately stepped aside.
"Leng Zirui, how dare you take advantage of ?!" Xu Xia turned her face, grumbling in displeasure.
Leng Zirui turned his head, frowning at her, "With such an ugly girlfriend, the one at a loss is , okay?!"
