Leng Zirui stood up, walked to her door, and saw her sitting dumbfounded in front of the mirror. He raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What’s wrong with you?"
"? I’m fine," Xu Xia raised her hand and randomly grabbed sothing from the makeup box, "I was just thinking about what color eyeshadow to use tonight."
"That’s lipstick," Leng Zirui corrected, looking at the lipstick in her hand.
"I know, I always start my makeup with lipstick," Xu Xia covered up casually.
"This color doesn’t suit you." Leng Zirui glanced sideways at her face, "Actually, you can try a light makeup; you don’t have to go all out every ti. It’s not like you’re performing a Beijing opera."
"What do you know? That’s called style. Smoky eyes are my trademark!" Xu Xia retorted.
Leng Zirui sneered, "A pretty face painted to look like a panda is called style? Is style really sothing you can put on like that?"
"Leng Zirui!" Xu Xia turned her face with her eyes flaring at him, "Are you just deliberately opposing ?!"
"I’m just suggesting. If you don’t like it, just pretend I didn’t say anything." Leng Zirui shrugged, "I’m going to the car to get the dress; rember to open the door for in a bit."
He turned around and left, and Xu Xia looked at the lipstick in her hand, casually throwing it onto the table.
She felt inexplicably irritated.
After a mont, there was a knock on the door. She got up, walked over, opened the door, and Leng Zirui imdiately entered holding a set of clothes.
"Do you mind if I use your bathroom?"
"Whatever!" Xu Xia replied angrily.
"Thanks." Leng Zirui imdiately strode towards her bedroom.
"Hey!" Xu Xia hurriedly chased after, "Why don’t you use the bathroom in the living room?"
"I’m not comfortable showering in the living room." Leng Zirui replied briefly, slamming the bathroom door shut.
Xu Xia rushed over and grabbed the doorknob.
"I’ve already undressed; are you sure you want to open the door?" Leng Zirui’s voice imdiately ca from inside.
Xu Xia gritted her teeth in frustration but found herself helpless, so she turned and went to the living room, sat on the sofa, turned on the TV, and watched the program absentmindedly. Noticing the cara on the sofa, she couldn’t help but recall the scene of them looking at photos together earlier, which made her even more annoyed.
There was another knock on the door.
Xu Xia stood up, walked to the door, and opened it. Lan Zi and Xiao Gao imdiately followed her into the living room, carrying paper bags with dresses, shoes, and jewelry.
"These are sponsored by the manufacturer. Keep the dress and shoes; just make sure not to damage the jewelry. It’s a limited edition, and they want it back!" Lan Zi reminded as she took out the jewelry box.
Before Xu Xia could respond, Leng Zirui ca out from the bedroom, only wrapped in a towel, "Xu Xia, where’s the hairdryer?"
Xu Xia imdiately raised her eyebrows, "Who told you to co out?!"
Seeing Lan Zi and Xiao Gao standing in the living room, Leng Zirui was slightly startled and then shrugged apologetically towards them.
"Sorry, my apologies!"
After a quick apology, he imdiately retreated into the room.
"Sister Xia, sorry, we didn’t know you had guests and ca a bit early." Xiao Gao smiled.
Xu Xia hurriedly explained, "What guests? He’s just..."
"Alright, no need to explain. We know you have a purely platonic relationship." Lan Zi interrupted him with a laugh, "We’ve delivered everything, and you can handle the rest yourself. We’re heading out."
