Outskirts farm.
Everyone was enjoying breakfast together. The dining table was still filled with laughter and chatter as usual, and no one showed any different expression.
Luo Xiaoqian was also eating with effort. Although her appetite wasn’t great, she needed to ingest more nutrients because she was pregnant. Plus, she didn’t want Leng Zimo to feel that she was upset.
Leng Zirui casually took a few bites of his al and stood up from his chair, "Xu Xia, aren’t you catching a flight today? Shall I give you a ride?"
On one hand, he needed to go into the city anyway, and the airport wasn’t far from the farm. On the other, he couldn’t sit here any longer; seeing Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian made him feel heartache that he couldn’t show, and the forced cheerfulness was truly painful.
Xu Xia heard his words, instinctively raised her face to glance at him, a brief light in her eyes quickly dimming again, "No need to trouble you; I can find soone to take to the airport."
"Are you refusing my offer to take you personally?!" Leng Zirui grabbed her arm, "Let’s go!"
Helpless, Xu Xia had to stand up from her chair and waved to everyone, "You all enjoy yourselves, I’ll leave first."
Everyone waved goodbye to her, and Luo Xiaoqian stood up to see her off.
"Finish your al, no need to see off!"
Xu Xia hurriedly waved at her, quickly following Leng Zirui out the door.
Leng Zirui released her arm only when they reached the car and he settled into the driver’s seat. Xu Xia opened the door and sat beside him.
A mont later, Leng Zirui had started the car, drove out the farm gates, and Xu Xia was staring out the window in a daze.
After Leng Zirui left last night, Xu Xia didn’t even know how much beer she drank. Later, she fell asleep in a daze in the tent, and when she woke up early, her head was spinning, leaving her with no energy now.
"What’s up with you today, having a change of heart?!" Leng Zirui, hearing nothing from her for a while, turned his face toward her in confusion, "Did you catch a cold from sleeping in the tent yesterday?"
As he spoke, he reached over and touched her forehead.
Under his palm, her forehead was burning hot.

Due to hearing about Leng Zimo, Leng Zirui spent a night smoking in the study and hadn’t paid attention to Xu Xia.

"Your forehead is hot enough to fry an egg, and you call it nothing!" Leng Zirui glanced around quickly, steering the car off the highway and into a nearby town. Seeing a pharmacy, he imdiately jumped out of the car, rushed into the store, and monts later ca back holding several boxes of dicine and a bottle of water. He swiftly sat back in the car, handed her two pills with the water bottle, "Quick, take them!"
Xu Xia turned her face, looking at the dicine in his hand, feeling only a sour bitterness in her heart.
He doesn’t even like her, so why be so nice?!
"What are you standing there for, hurry up and take them!" Leng Zirui saw her slightly flushed face and promptly brought the dicine to her lips, "Co on, take them, I’ll get you to the airport, and you can sleep on the flight. You’ll be refreshed for the performance when you arrive!"
Opening her mouth, she swallowed the pills he offered, raising her hand to drink so water and swallow them down, "Zirui, thank you."
