I’m sorry.
Her right hand was wrapped in thick gauze.
The image of the bloodstained blade flashed in front of his eyes, and Leng Zimo’s anger slowly subsided.

Luo Xiaoqian had already grabbed the door handle, ready to open the car door. Hearing these three words, she suddenly stiffened.
He said, "I’m sorry"?
Had she heard incorrectly? Could soone like him actually apologize?!
Turning her face, she looked at him with confusion.
He was compromising with her. For years, he had been the one in control of everything, but this ti, he was respecting her wishes, even though he believed participating in the competition was the best choice for her.

He had locked it!
He had apologized to her, and she still wanted to leave?!

Gripping the steering wheel, he started the car once more.
The black Humr roared onto the fast lane, speeding back to World City without a word spoken between them, the car’s atmosphere stiff as if about to freeze.

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her left hand, typed the passcode, opened the door, and then, like a servant, picked up his slippers.
