Xu Xia put down the cookie in her hand and listened intently.
This ti, she heard it clearly, it was definitely the sound of the door lock.

A soft sound, the door opened, then closed, and footsteps entered.
The footsteps were light, as if they were afraid of being heard by others.
Xu Xia beca even more convinced it was indeed a thief. Seeing a figure flash by the carved pattern of the entryway, she gripped the wooden sculpture with both hands and swung it toward the figure.
As the sculpture was thrown, she saw the person’s face clearly.
Short hair, handso face, it was Leng Zirui.
However, it was too late to stop.
"Dodge!" Xu Xia yelled.
Leng Zirui had already retreated a step, the wooden sculpture grazed past his nose and hit the wall with a thud.
"Leng Zirui!" Xu Xia hastily hid the sculpture behind her back and awkwardly smiled, "Welco, welco!"
He was holding a bag, clearly having gone out to buy her breakfast.
Leng Zirui looked at her expression, half amused, half exasperated, "Is this how you welco back?"

Smack, Leng Zirui lightly slapped the back of her hand.
Xu Xia rubbed her hand where it hurt, "Leng Zirui, what are you doing?!"
"Have you washed your hands?"
Xu Xia was about to retort, but Leng Zirui had already picked up a pair of chopsticks, grabbing a bun and bringing it to her mouth.
She initially thought he was going to eat it himself, and stared at the bun in front of her, montarily at a loss.
Leng Zirui raised an eyebrow, "Open your mouth!"
Hearing his words, she finally reacted and took a bite.
"How is it?!" Leng Zirui asked.
Xu Xia nodded while chewing the bun, "Delicious."
Leng Zirui smiled, then brought the bun back to her mouth, Xu Xia opened her mouth to take the rest of the bun, and Leng Zirui then brought over a bowl of porridge from the table, scooped a spoonful, blew on it gently, and brought it to her lips.
