"I confess, it really wasn’t who did it!" Sasha raised her hands. "Last ti we got into a fight at the club, Xiao Guo accidentally ntioned you, and then my dad confiscated my phone and car keys. I’ve been grounded for the past few days. I only managed to sneak the phone and keys out of his drawer this morning and just climbed out the window to get here. If I dare lie, you can ignore in the future. What did you want to see about? I’ll head to the UK in a week. While I still have ti, let’s have so fun, sister!"
Mo Bei took off the wig, removed the net covering her long hair, and let it down. "Why are you going to the UK?"
"To study, what else?!" Sasha pouted. "My dad said I either had to go to school, get married, or he’d send away. I had no choice but to choose school. Honestly, I don’t know what he’s thinking. People like you, the nerds, go to school for real stuff. Soone like is just going to be a nace to the UK people!"
Mo Bei sipped on her juice. "Too much partying gets old too. Studying has its perks. You like fashion design, right? Go study at the UK Art University’s design school. If I have ti, I’ll co and visit you!"
"And what about you?!" Sasha asked. "Aren’t you studying anymore?!"
Mo Bei shrugged. "I’ll take a few months off and see. I’ve already completed all my credits. My tutor keeps pushing to pursue a PhD, but I haven’t decided yet."
Sasha looked surprised. "Are you kidding ? You’ve completed 36 credits in less than a year?!"
"Of course, how else could I be a top student?" Mo Bei made a funny face at her. "Can I have the phone?"
Sasha imdiately handed over the phone. Mo Bei quickly dialed Tongtong’s number and, putting on a sweet voice, said, "Hello? Is this Miss Tongtong? I’m Sasha, the assistant to the president of Aisha Group. Here’s the situation: Our company would like to invite you to one of our events. I just called your assistant, and she ntioned she no longer handles your affairs. Do you have ti today?!"
Tongtong had no idea it was her and imdiately asked, "When is your event?"
"Tonight at eight!" Mo Bei said.
Tongtong wanted to go, but Jiao Yang had just issued orders completely forbidding her from attending events. Without the company’s approval, she couldn’t sign contracts and thus couldn’t go. "Well, I... I’m currently..."
Mo Bei smiled and quickly said, "It’s like this: Our event is relatively private. Our president admires you a lot and specifically instructed to invite you. This event can completely bypass your company, saving you a considerable amount in taxes."
"How much are you offering?" Tongtong imdiately beca interested.
"Two hours, two hundred thousand. If you have a chance to engage deeply with our president, he might even consider hiring you as a company spokesperson!" Mo Bei said.
"Great!" Tongtong agreed imdiately. Skipping the company and getting paid directly—she wouldn’t refuse such an offer. "What’s the ti and place?!"
"Seven-thirty in the evening. I’ll personally pick you up from your apartnt building. Please dress formally, as it’s a rather formal dinner!"
"Alright!"
"So, see you tonight?"
"See you tonight!"
