Upstairs.
In the luxurious bedroom, all was quiet. The two bodyguards standing at the foot of the bed rely stared at Luo Xiaoqian, neither speaking nor moving.
Luo Xiaoqian huddled at the head of the bed, her mood slightly stabilizing as she quickly recalled the events that had transpired.
She rembered clearly, before losing consciousness, she took one last look at the computer screen, watching Leng Zimo and Jiao Yang dash out of the factory doors. Even if Luo Ke imdiately detonated the bomb, could it really be that powerful?!
No, it couldn’t!
Leng Zimo definitely wouldn’t die.
He’s still alive, he must be alive, she must figure out a way to escape.
Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face to glance at the two towering subordinates of Luo Ke.
Earlier, they ntioned the mariti surveillance ship. She had to find a way to escape the bedroom before the ship approached, then seek help from them.
Thinking of this, she swiftly raised her fingers, wanting to untie the rope wrapped around her left arm.
"What are you doing?!"
The subordinate imdiately inquired, his tone respectful.
This was the sa subordinate who had ridden with her earlier; he had witnessed Luo Ke’s indulgence of Luo Xiaoqian, and thus was quite polite to her.
"I need to use the bathroom!" Luo Xiaoqian replied.
The subordinate glanced at her, stepped forward, helped her untie the rope, and then cautiously placed the nearby slippers by the bed.
Luo Xiaoqian slipped on the shoes and headed to the bathroom. She was unard; it would be impossible to defeat them physically, and she could only rely on cleverness.
Entering the bathroom, she reached back to close the door.
"Don’t close the door!" the subordinate whispered.
"What did you say?" Luo Xiaoqian frowned, "Are you going to watch use the bathroom?!"
The man looked at her face, "You can close the door, but you must co out within two minutes, or I’ll have to break in."
Snorting coldly, Luo Xiaoqian slamd the door shut. The subordinate left outside heard the door slam and could only furrow his brows helplessly.
Such a task was indeed troubleso!
In the bathroom, Luo Xiaoqian quickly surveyed the surroundings.
Luo Ke had already ordered a clean-up, even the toiletries and towels had been put away, leaving her with nothing usable as a weapon. Moreover, the bathroom lacked windows, only having an exhaust fan.
Upon seeing the exhaust fan, Luo Xiaoqian’s eyes lit up.
Many movie protagonists had to escape using the ventilation system, right?
Acting on it, she carefully climbed onto the toilet, cautiously inserted her fingers into the small holes of the exhaust fan, and pulled with all her might.
After a herculean effort, Luo Xiaoqian still couldn’t pull down the exhaust fan, only making her ten fingernails ache painfully.
"Miss Luo?" Outside, the voice of Luo Ke’s subordinate rang out.
"Constipation, how annoying!" Luo Xiaoqian shouted irritably.
Biting her lips, Luo Xiaoqian firmly grasped the exhaust fan, using her whole body to tug downward.
Crack!
With a soft sound, she actually managed to pull down the exhaust fan.
Elated, Luo Xiaoqian raised her face, only to instantly turn ashen.
The ventilation duct did exist, but it went straight up and then turned, making it impossible to climb in from atop the toilet.
"Miss Luo?!"
The subordinate outside heard the noises inside and nervously supported the door.
Glancing at the exhaust fan in her hand, Luo Xiaoqian stepped down to the floor, kicked off both shoes into the toilet, and, clutching the fan she had pulled down, hid behind the door.
