In the end, Luo Xiaoqian ordered so fast food delivery, while Leng Zimo glanced casually at the roadside, noticed a restaurant, and pulled over.
By the ti he sat down at the dining table and the al arrived, Luo Xiaoqian’s takeout had also been delivered.
Starting the video call, Luo Xiaoqian showed him her food first, then placed the phone across the table facing her spot, pinching a chicken wing and bringing it up to the cara.
"This one’s for you!" On the other end of the call, Leng Zimo watched the chicken wing coming towards him through the screen and just chuckled, then his tone filled with concern, "In the future, try not to eat these kinds of fast foods, they’re not healthy."
"Okay!" Luo Xiaoqian withdrew the chicken wing, "Let see what you’re having, give a vicarious treat."
Leng Zimo aid the cara at his plate; he had ordered simple items like spaghetti, coffee and the like.
Luo Xiaoqian pouted, "Coffee again, you could actually try so juice or milk."
"I’ll try that next ti!" Leng Zimo, looking at her face on the screen, smiled and picked up a fork, "Can we start eating?"
"Wait for my signal, 3, 2, 1, dig in!"
At Luo Xiaoqian’s command, the two began eating simultaneously.
They even exchanged so comntary from ti to ti.
The chicken wings were a bit too salty; the pasta was slightly overcooked... until both had finished their als.
Back in the car, Leng Zimo glanced at his watch, "It’s getting late, you surely have work tomorrow, better go to sleep early!"
"Okay!" Luo Xiaoqian agreed verbally, gazing at his profile on the screen, hesitated for a second, but in the end, she spoke up, "Bring the phone closer to your face."
Leng Zimo was puzzled but complied nevertheless.
"Goodnight!"
On this end of the call, Luo Xiaoqian moved her lips toward the screen and quickly kissed it, then imdiately blushed and hung up the phone.
Leng Zimo listened to the sound of the kiss through the earphones, let his hand drop as he looked at the disconnected call, smiled, then went into ssages and sent a line of text.
"Goodnight, thanks for understanding my song!"
On this side of the phone, Luo Xiaoqian, looking at the latter half of the text, was puzzled at first but then had an epiphany.
He must have listened to her radio show and heard the introduction she gave when recomnding his song, that’s why he would say that.
So, he wasn’t eating dinner; he was listening to her show all along.
This Leng Zimo!
Holding her phone and lying on the pillow, Luo Xiaoqian lifted her hand and scratched her head.
It’s so strange, they had only parted for a day, and she had just been video chatting with him, so why did she suddenly miss him so much?
When she was with Lu Hao, she always considered him in everything, but she had never felt this way before.
Could it be, this is what real dating feels like?
Lying on a strange bed in a foreign land, Luo Xiaoqian was unable to sleep.
Leng Zimo returned to World City, took a shower, lay down, and though he was really tired, he couldn’t fall asleep.
In the air, it seed her scent still lingered; he turned to his side, looked at the empty pillow beside him, and felt his heart grow restless.
"Silly girl!"
Muttering annoyedly, he got up, brought his computer from downstairs, put on his glasses, and started to work.
Even though he was looking at spreadsheets, all he could see was her adorable way of sucking on her fingers. Leng Zimo lifted his hand to rub his brow, casually reached for the phone on the desk, dialed her number, then tossed the phone aside.
By this ti, she would surely be asleep.
Yet the phone suddenly lit up, and seeing her na flashing on the screen, he imdiately answered the call.
