Leng Zimo’s eyes finally showed a hint of surprise. He had anticipated that Leng Lin would consider Luo Xiaoqian to be inadequate, but to think that he would actually give her extra points was completely out of character for that man.
"I guess..." Luo Xiaoqian turned her face, looking at the photo of her and her father on the shelf, "these ten points are probably because of my father. Your dad ca in looking like he was ready for a fight, but after he saw this picture, he started to ask about my father, and his attitude softened a lot. When I escorted him out just now, he even complinted on my tea!"
Leng Zimo raised his eyebrows, even more surprised.
"Actually, I think your dad and you are really alike. You both appear very tough, but once that tough exterior is stripped away, you’re very soft, especially when it cos to you. I can feel that he actually cares a lot about you." She reached out and took his hand, speaking gently, "Zimo, I know there are so tensions between you two, but I still want to ask you, for my sake, please don’t treat him that way. Even if he has done sothing wrong, he is still your father after all."
"You don’t understand." Leng Zimo sighed softly, "You shouldn’t worry about this matter, I have my own judgnt."
"Zimo!" Luo Xiaoqian tightened her grip on his hand, "I know I shouldn’t interject in your family matters, but I really don’t want you to have regrets in the future. You know, so things, once lost, might never co back!"
Just like her, at that ti, she too had a poor relationship with her mother due to so misunderstandings. After her mother left, although she realized her mistake, what use was it?
It was truly painful not to be able to care for a parent who was no longer present.

Xiao Ding had just seen Xu Pei upstairs. It was clear that she had followed them all the way here. It seed that despite his proposal to Luo Xiaoqian, she apparently had no intention of giving up.
Leng Zimo couldn’t help but worry. Xiao Qian’s simplicity and transparency were her most precious qualities, but they were also her greatest weaknesses. When it ca to scheming, Luo Xiaoqian was far behind Xu Pei.
Although he didn’t believe Xu Pei would do anything too outrageous, he still issued the order, just to be cautious.
"Tea is ready!"
Luo Xiaoqian walked briskly from the kitchen with a cup of tea in hand.
Seeing her, a smile that flowed from the bottom of Leng Zimo’s heart imdiately appeared on his face.
This girl had a kind of magic about her, especially when she smiled. It always made one feel as if the whole world was bright, warm, and comforting.
