Leng Zimo smiled reassuringly, "Real estate is the most profitable investnt right now, and I have estimated that this project absolutely won’t lose money."
He wasn’t lying to her, he simply withheld so information.
It’s not likely to lose money, but how much it could earn in the future was indeed sothing that remained to be tested.
But all the money he was using ca from another project, and he didn’t plan to touch Emperor View’s funds. After all, Emperor View wasn’t just his; it had many directors. While he had the authority to make such decisions, he didn’t want to proceed in that manner.
Work is work, and feelings are feelings.
He could invest his own money in his relationship as he pleased, but not with Emperor View, for it was no longer solely his. As a man, he had to be responsible for his woman. Likewise, as the head of the company, he had to be responsible not only to himself but also to all shareholders and employees.
This was Leng Zimo’s principle.
"That’s good." Luo Xiaoqian breathed a sigh of relief, "Shall we go in and have a look?"
"That has to wait until Tomorrow." Leng Zimo shrugged, "Although it’s not demolished, the water and electricity have been cut off. It’ll take two or three days to restore them. How about we head back to the hotel and co back tomorrow?"
Luo Xiaoqian imdiately agreed, "Then let’s go have dinner first."
Without guessing, she knew he must have been busy with this for a long ti and hadn’t even eaten, having co to pick her up from the airport and taken her here.
The two of them walked out of the courtyard, locking the door behind them.
As they drove away in the car, Luo Xiaoqian held tightly to the bunch of keys until the small courtyard was out of sight, then she finally turned her gaze away.
Seeing Leng Zimo concentrating on driving, she carefully leaned over and planted a kiss on his face, whispering into his ear.
"Thank you, hubby!"
The last move was really too thrilling. With one turn of Leng Zimo’s arm, the car sharply swerved towards the roadside.
Fortunately, Leng Zimo was skilled behind the wheel; he kept his cool and imdiately adjusted the direction. The car screeched to a halt by the roadside, with half of its tires already off the lane. If it moved forward, it would rush onto the sandy beach off the road.
Luo Xiaoqian was thrown forward, but luckily the seatbelt was fastened, and she wasn’t injured.
"Are you hurt?!" Leng Zimo asked.
Luo Xiaoqian shook her head gently.
After parking the car back by the roadside, Leng Zimo turned to look at her with a deep voice, "Silly girl, don’t play like that next ti!"
"I know!" Luo Xiaoqian responded, head bowed. She hadn’t expected such a big reaction from him, "Zimo, I’m sorry!"
"Wrong!"
"I know I was wrong."
"I an, you called wrong!"
Luo Xiaoqian slowly turned her face towards him, her big eyes blinking, "What did I call wrong?"
"What did you just call ?" Leng Zimo countered.
She realized what he was referring to, but pretended to say, "You told not to call you that!"
"I only said don’t play like that, I didn’t say don’t call that."
"Hmph!" She turned her face to the other side, "Just now soone scolded , and now he wants to call him. I don’t want to call him anymore!"
After loosening her seatbelt, he leaned in, his face close to hers, "Are you sure you won’t call ?"
"I won’t!" Luo Xiaoqian shrunk towards the door.
Lifting her hair from beside her ear, his fingers gently stroked her earlobe, "Are you sure you won’t call ?"
