Yu Tong flashed a smile and pressed her onto the sofa, then poured another cup of water and handed it to her, "Let’s do this, you wait here for a mont, I’ll imdiately call President Leng to check on the situation, and if he’s available, I’ll take you to see Xiao Qian right away."

Before she could dial the number, soone already knocked on the office door.
Zhuo Yannan went to open the door and saw Xu Pei standing outside, breaking into a smile, "Director Xu, you’re here?"
"Yes, I’m still feeling a bit under the weather and got up late today, I’ve co for a eting. I heard you were here, so I ca to check in, nothing serious, I hope?" Xu Pei cast a glance around the room, her gaze pausing on Xu Xia, "Xu Xia, what brings you here?"
"Humph!" Xu Xia snorted, "All thanks to your great President Leng and his wonderful deeds!"
"Zimo?" Xu Pei walked into the office, smiling as she approached Xu Xia, "How did he offend you?"
"If he dares to bully Xiao Qian, he’s offending !" Xu Xia replied, anger in her voice.
"Bullying Xiao Qian?" Xu Pei glanced at Zhuo Yannan and Yu Tong, "Are you... keeping sothing from ?!"
Hearing her ask this, Xu Xia was also taken aback. She had assud that Xu Pei must have been aware of the matter, but realizing her reaction was too late for any cover-up, she silently berated herself for her big mouth.
"Ah, well, it’s not really a big deal!" Yu Tong quickly interjected, "It’s just that Xiao Qian and President Leng had a little disagreent, Xu Xia couldn’t get through to Xiao Qian on the phone, she was worried, so she ca to check at the company."

Did they really think they could fool her with such poor acting?
Xu Pei sneered inwardly but maintained a normal smile on her face, "How could that be, Zimo is so good to Xiao Qian. I’m guessing her phone probably wasn’t with her, or maybe she forgot it sowhere. I will, right now, give Zimo a call to check."
Ever since the incident, she had been considering how to probe the current status between Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian. Now that the opportunity was in front of her, she certainly wouldn’t miss it.
Without giving the others a chance to speak, Xu Pei imdiately took out her phone and dialed Leng Zimo’s number.
The call connected quickly.
"See, it went through, didn’t it?" Xu Pei showed the screen to Xu Xia before putting the phone to her ear, "I guarantee you, they are definitely fine."
After four rings, soone finally answered.
"Hello?" The voice that ca through the receiver wasn’t the one Xu Pei was expecting to hear—it was an unexpected female voice, "Sister Xu Pei, this is Xiao Qian. Zimo is taking a shower and can’t co to the phone right now. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"You are, Xiao Qian?!"
"Yes, it’s !" On the other end of the line, Luo Xiaoqian’s voice remained calm, "Sister Xu Pei, are you looking for Zimo about sothing? If so, shall I have him call you back later?"
If it had been anyone else calling Leng Zimo, Luo Xiaoqian might not have answered, but seeing it was Xu Pei’s number, and being quite familiar with her, she decided to pick up.
