"Okay!" Shen Yizhou was a clever man who sensed that the atmosphere among the three was amiss. He agreed and left the sickroom, even closing the door behind them on the way out.
Leng Lin straightened up, and Luo Xiaoqian hurried to her feet to help steady his arm, helping him to sit up properly.
"Xiao Qian!" Leng Lin raised his hand to grasp hers, "Regarding this matter, I have indeed been aware of it for several days. Zirui was the one who discovered it. Initially, I truly did not want to tell you. Zimo was right, at that ti, it was my selfishness. Because of what I had done in the past, I felt so guilt towards the Xu Family and Xu Pei, so I wanted to let Xu Pei off. "You should stop talking and rest," Luo Xiaoqian urged softly.
"Xiao Qian, I’m sorry for making you feel aggrieved," Leng Lin tapped her hand gently, and it took him a while before he let go, "There are nurses here to care for ... you should go back first!"
Luo Xiaoqian was unwilling to leave, "How can that be? I’m fine. I only have work tomorrow afternoon, so I can stay with you for a bit longer!"
"Xiao Liu will be here soon, and so will Yizhou. You should go back," Leng Lin glanced at Leng Zimo who was standing aside with a stern face, "Don’t be angry with Zirui. It was my insistence that kept him from telling you. If you need the firsthand evidence, you can get it directly from him!"
Leng Lin had made his stance clear with these words.
If he really wanted to bury this matter, he could have kept everything quiet and everything would have been settled without dragging Luo Xiaoqian into this and asking her to forgive Xu Pei.
With her face downturned, Luo Xiaoqian apologized, "Uncle Leng, I’m sorry, I misunderstood you and got angry with you just now!"
"It’s my fault. You were right, such a mistake should not be forgiven," Leng Lin patted her arm, "It’s okay, Uncle Leng doesn’t bla you. If I were you, I would surely be angrier. Zimo, take Xiao Qian back ho!"

Luo Xiaoqian turned her face and looked at Leng Zimo who stood by the sickroom with a solemn face, giving him a gentle look to convey her ssage.
A knock sounded, and a nurse entered.
"Mr. Leng, could you please step out for a mont to sign so paperwork?"
"Okay!" Leng Zimo turned and walked out, noticing Shen Yizhou standing not far away with paperwork in hand, his brows tightening in an instant, "Is there a problem with the examination?"
If the examination results had been fine, Shen Yizhou would have surely gone straight in. Summoning him out this way already indicated that sothing was amiss.
"Co with ," Shen Yizhou turned and headed to his office. Once inside, he pulled a report from the paperwork he was holding and handed it to Leng Zimo, "This is the abdominal ultrasound, there’s a problematic echo in the kidney area..."
Leng Zimo glanced at the examination report in his hand, "Don’t talk to in dical jargon. Just tell the result, and don’t sugarcoat it."
"It’s not that serious yet. Based on the ultrasound report, we can only preliminarily determine there are so small lesions on the kidney. We need further examinations for a definitive diagnosis," Shen Yizhou explained.
"What is the worst possible outco?" Leng Zimo asked gravely.
