"It must be Xiao Qian and Zimo, right?" Jiao Yang walked over from behind Tongtong, buttoning up his shirt as he walked, and when he saw Luo Xiaoqian and Leng Zimo standing at the door, he imdiately wrapped his arms around Tongtong’s waist with a smile.
"Happy birthday!" Luo Xiaoqian offered the cake in her hands.
"Thank you!" Jiao Yang took the cake, passing it to Tongtong, "Please co in, both of you!"
Luo Xiaoqian and Leng Zimo ca in with the cake and wine, walking into the living room to see cushions strewn all over the couch and onto the floor.
"What happened here, a battle?" Luo Xiaoqian joked.
"The war between man and woman, you know!" Jiao Yang smirked suggestively, squeezing Tongtong’s waist, "Xiao Tong, hurry up and tidy this place up."
Luo Xiaoqian paused, her gaze sweeping over them again. Noticing their sowhat disheveled hair, she suddenly understood the implication in Jiao Yang’s words, her face flushed with heat.
Tongtong busied herself picking up the cushions from the floor, while Jiao Yang carefully placed the cake on the coffee table, then casually pulled Tongtong to him, making her sit on his lap, "Today, our Tong the chef is going to cook a fire pot dinner personally. You two are in for a treat!"
"I’m just winging it." Tongtong wrapped her arms around his neck affectionately, "Do you two have any dietary restrictions?"
"Zimo and I don’t eat spicy food," Luo Xiaoqian said.
"Oh, in that case, let’s have a yuanyang (split-flavor) pot," Jiao Yang laughed as he stroked Tongtong’s back, "Xiao Tong loves spicy food."
"Alright, yuanyang pot it is!" Tongtong stood up from his lap, "I’ll go get everything ready."
"I’ll help you," Luo Xiaoqian stood up.
"No need, everything’s almost ready, let her go by herself," Jiao Yang said.
Luo Xiaoqian insisted on standing up and went into the kitchen with Tongtong, Jiao Yang straightened up, but in the end, didn’t stop her again.
Grabbing the cake from the table, Jiao Yang started untying the ribbon while laughing, "How are the wedding preparations coming along? If there’s anything you need help with, just say the word. I’m particularly good at crashing weddings!"
"I don’t need your help with that kind of stuff; I have not made such arrangents," Leng Zimo glanced toward the kitchen, "Is she not right for you?"
Jiao Yang lifted the lid off the cake to see the chocolate cake inside, picked a piece of chocolate, and put it to his lips, "Xiao Qian from your house, of course she’s not right for !"
"I was talking about Tongtong," Leng Zimo swatted away his hand reaching for the chocolate, and took a candle from the side, "How old is the birthday?"
"Six," Jiao Yang said with a smile.
Leng Zimo didn’t ask further and indeed took out six candles to insert into the cake, "You can’t fool her like that. If you really want to make her happy, find a nice girl and have a real romance."
Jiao Yang’s chocolate-chewing motion stiffened, "She... knows?"
Leng Zimo rolled his eyes at him, "You think my Xiao Qian is really that stupid?"

"Zimo, help bring the cake over, we’re all ready,"
Luo Xiaoqian’s voice ca from the dining room.
Leng Zimo replied, carefully cradling the cake from the table.
Jiao Yang followed behind him, rising to join him in the dining room.
In the dining room, the fire pot was steaming hot, Tongtong had found a lighter to ignite the candles on the cake, and Luo Xiaoqian chuckled, "Jiao Yang, make a wish!"
