The two of them climbed the stairs together. Though each step brought a tearing pain in her leg, she simply endured it without any outward sign, thankful to finally enter the elevator.
After delivering the suitcase to the elevator, the driver discretely took his leave, not insisting on accompanying them any further.
In high-end residences like this, the occupancy rate was naturally not high; the elevator held no one else but Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian.
"You probably haven’t had dinner yet. How about I make sothing for you?" she offered proactively.
"Sure," Leng Zimo replied.
"What would you like to eat?" Luo Xiaoqian asked casually.
"Dumplings!"
Luo Xiaoqian wished she could bite off her tongue. She really was too quick to speak.
He was looking for a lover, not a chef, and now dumplings? She didn’t know how to make those.
"I... I don’t know how to make those... uh, is noodles okay?" she asked timidly, her head hung low.
