Luo Xiaoqian had just stepped out of the elevator when Xu Xia, who had arrived beforehand, greeted her with a smile, pulling her into the rehearsal room.
"Xiao Qian, let tell you," Xu Xia wrapped her arm around Luo Xiaoqian’s, "with your ability, you’re definitely going to make it to the finals smoothly, and then, you’ll be a star, no question about it!"
Luo Xiaoqian chuckled, "I don’t have that kind of ability, I can only do my best to strive for it!"
On the side, Shen Xinyi and a companion just stepped out from another elevator. Seeing the two, she just snorted coldly and dragged her companion quickly forward.
"What’s there to be proud of, did you see that? She’s one team mber short, she must have been eliminated!" Xu Xia glanced sideways at Shen Xinyi’s retreating figure, clinging to Luo Xiaoqian as they headed for the rehearsal room, "Right, have you chosen your song yet?"
"I’ve already chosen it!" Luo Xiaoqian nodded.
Footsteps echoed, Tong Ya and another young woman with wavy long hair in a tight-fitting long dress approached. Seeing them, Luo Xiaoqian and Xu Xia hurriedly nodded and bowed.
"Co in quickly!" Tong Ya gave them a slight smile and led the way into the training room.
In the rehearsal room, most of the participants had already arrived, discussing the semifinals in small groups.
Many familiar faces were gone. Out of fifty, only twenty could advance. The competition was always this brutal. Seeing Tong Ya enter, everyone imdiately gathered around.
Tong Ya clapped her hands softly, signaling everyone to be quiet, "Let introduce you to Miss Lin Luoshi, our EM’s Music Director. She will be in charge of the rehearsal proceedings along with !"
Everyone clapped together.
"Stop!" Lin Luoshi raised her right hand, looking around at everyone with an air of superiority, "Now, everyone be quiet, report the songs you’ve prepared to . Then, we’ll take the bus to the venue to get familiar with the place, draw lots to decide the performance order, and officially start the rehearsal!"
She opened the folder in her hands, "Who’s first?"
"!" Shen Xinyi was the first to speak up from the crowd.
"Show-off," Xu Xia just curled her lips.
Lin Luoshi glanced at Xu Xia, clearly displeased with her lack of restraint, "Shen Xinyi, is it? What song are you going to sing?"
Shen Xinyi glanced at Xu Xia not too far away, "I want to sing ’Before It’s Too Late’!"
"No way!" Xu Xia imdiately voiced her objection loudly, "I ask, she’s doing this on purpose, stealing the song. Xiao Qian has been preparing ’Before It’s Too Late’ for many days now; isn’t this deliberate sabotage?"
"Xu Xia, can you be reasonable?" Shen Xinyi crossed her arms, "It’s the sa for everyone. Why should I give in to her wishes? I’ve been practicing it for a long ti too, you know?"
"You’re clearly doing this on purpose!" Xu Xia stepped forward, "That day in the changing room, I asked Xiao Qian what she was going to sing, you heard us, didn’t you? Then you did this intentionally to catch her off guard, didn’t you? Tell that’s not true!"
"I won’t argue with soone as uncultured as you!" Shen Xinyi turned her face to Ailin, "Miss Luoshi, I choose ’Before It’s Too Late’!"
Luo Xiaoqian hurried forward to pull Xu Xia back, but Xu Xia shook off her arm forcefully, "Absolutely not!"
Choosing the right song was pivotal for the semifinals. If Xu Xia didn’t fight for Luo Xiaoqian, wouldn’t all her days of practice be in vain?
"Enough, what do you think EM is, a vegetable market?" Lin Luoshi chided displeasedly, "Next!"
The other participants imdiately started raising their hands one by one, reporting the songs they had selected.
