Chapter 9. I’m Done Catering to Her, Rewarded with the Supre-Grade Void Mirror!

Hm?

Jiang Yichen was lying there basking in the sunlight when three slacker choices suddenly appeared before his eyes.

Damn! A Supre Slacker Gift Pack!

The mont Jiang Yichen saw the reward for the third choice, joy rose in his heart.

After giving the first two choices a quick glance, he could not help recalling his graduation ceremony in his previous life.

To celebrate Lin Wan receiving a guaranteed spot in the Yanhuang Team, he had delivered her breakfast that morning and then imdiately started decorating the graduation ceremony venue, preparing a surprise for her.

That afternoon, when the class gathered to take graduation photos and group pictures together, he had not even had ti to go. He had stayed by Lin Wan’s side the entire ti, fussing over her every need.

What was laughable was that after Lin Wan finished her speech onstage, she broke up with him in front of the whole school, and in an instant, he beca the object of everyone’s ridicule.

At the ti, he had been so blinded by love that he had pleaded bitterly with Lin Wan, completely disappointing the father who had co to attend the ceremony.

Damn it! Love always ended up being betrayed!

I’m done with this.

Ti to slack off.

Jiang Yichen took a deep breath. “We’ll go to school at twelve. That should be just in ti for the class graduation photos.”

The mont those words ca out, Uncle Feng froze for a second, but the anxiety in his eyes soon beca impossible to hide.

The young master was still planning to go early. It looked like he still had not let go of Lin Wan.

The master was coming to watch the graduation ceremony tonight. If he found out that the young master was still acting like he would live or die for Lin Wan, then he would probably strip him of his status as heir on the spot.

“Young Master, the master is coming to watch the graduation ceremony tonight. You should still take it more seriously,” Uncle Feng could not help but remind him.

Jiang Yichen waved a hand. “It doesn’t matter.”

Now that slacking off gave him everything, what was there that he could not do in this world where martial strength reigned supre as long as he had power?

What did other people’s opinions have to do with him?

“Young Master, this...”

“Uncle Feng, don’t worry. I know what I’m doing.”

Uncle Feng was so anxious that his face turned red. With this lazy attitude, how could the young master still say he knew what he was doing? At a ti like this, when the Jiang family was in the middle of selecting an heir, if he remained so lacking in ambition, the family would cast him aside sooner or later.

He let out a long sigh, but did not try to persuade him any further. After all, he was only a butler.

【Ding! Congratulations, Host, on making a slacker choice. Reward: ‘Supre Slacker Gift Pack.’ Would you like to open it?】

Hearing that, Jiang Yichen’s thoughts stirred. Was his Supre-grade spirit artifact finally coming?

“Open it. Open it.”

【Congratulations, Host. You have obtained: Supre-grade Void Mirror, 10 billion in funds, and 10 fourth-rank magical artifacts.】

The Void Mirror!

Jiang Yichen’s eyes lit up as he checked the description.

【Supre-grade Void Mirror: Built upon Void Dao Runes, it can tear through space and reverse yin and yang. It is known as ‘the greatest offensive treasure beneath immortal artifacts.’ When used together with the Void Scripture, it can unleash world-destroying might.】

Damn!

Jiang Yichen was shaken to the core by that overwhelmingly grand description.

This thing was even more terrifying than the spirit artifacts above the ninth rank in this world.

After all, spirit artifacts were created by fusing demon beast souls into magical artifacts, allowing weapons to gain imnse power. According to legend, if one could fuse a god into an artifact, one could forge a divine weapon!

But compared with the Void Mirror before him, those things were not even in the sa league.

With the Void Scripture to complent it, this was simply invincible.

“System, can I even use the Void Mirror right now?” Jiang Yichen suddenly thought of a critical question.

Sothing this absurdly powerful did not seem to match a re Fourth Realm martial artist like him at all.

【The Host’s current strength is still insufficient to activate the Void Mirror, but the Host may draw the Void Mirror into the body and gain insight into the laws of space, producing remarkable effects on cultivating the Void Scripture.】

Jiang Yichen understood at once. “Then let it enter my body.”

The mont the words fell, the Void Mirror in the system space turned into a streak of light and flew into the center of his brow.

An ancient mirror floated within his sea of consciousness, while ripples spread through the surrounding space.

Jiang Yichen felt as though the air before his eyes had beco different from before.

It was as if the absolute limits of distance and boundaries had been broken. Physical distance itself seed to have lost all aning, much like the chanism behind the teleportation talismans. Wherever his thoughts moved, he could go.

So this was the power of space? How profound.

Jiang Yichen closed his eyes and carefully began to sense it.

But the surrounding space began to ripple, and Seventh Realm Martial King Uncle Feng’s expression changed at once.

Hm?

Sensing the disturbance in the space around them, Uncle Feng thought an enemy had appeared, and spiritual energy imdiately gathered in his palm.

But after observing the area, his gaze could not help falling on the young master.

These spatial fluctuations were coming from the young master?

That was not right. Was the young master’s martial talent not Divine Sense Amplification? That had nothing to do with the spatial attribute.

Uncle Feng frowned and quietly sent a strand of spiritual energy over to probe.

Hm? The spiritual energy was scattered apart.

A trace of surprise flashed through his eyes. The young master was only in the Second Realm—at least, that was what he thought—while he himself was a Seventh Realm Martial King, yet he still could not detect the young master’s cultivation.

Could it be that the master had given the young master so kind of magical artifact that concealed his cultivation?

Uncle Feng nodded to himself. The young master’s strength was weak, so hiding it made sense. At the very least, it would stop everyone from thinking he was easy to bully.

“Brother Yichen, what are you doing? The space around you suddenly started fluctuating.”

Su Linyu, who was eating, had a sheen of oil on her pink lips as she looked curiously at Jiang Yichen, who sat there with his eyes closed in enjoynt.

The latter slowly opened his eyes, and the ripples in space ca to a halt.

“It’s nothing. I was just studying a treasure.”

Jiang Yichen smiled, then pulled a gold card from the system space and changed the subject. “Su Linyu, I have sothing I’d like your help with.”

Su Linyu’s eyes lit up. She jumped to her feet, full of confidence. “Just say the word, Brother Yichen. Even if it ans climbing mountains of blades or plunging into seas of fire, I, Su Linyu, will definitely do it.”

“...” Jiang Yichen gave an awkward smile and stuffed the gold card into her hand. “It’s not anything that serious...”

“Ahhh! Brother Yichen touched my hand! I’ve decided! I’m not washing my hands today!”

Su Linyu looked overjoyed as she stared at the back of the hand he had touched.

It was as though her mind was not on what he was saying at all.

The corner of Jiang Yichen’s mouth twitched. “There’s 10 billion on this card. I want you to help manage the team.”

10 billion?!

The mont Uncle Feng heard that amount, he was stunned senseless.

Madam had given the young master that much money?

No wonder the group had run into funding problems.

That was enough to drain the group’s liquid capital dry!

Young Master, for the sake of this team, you really were trying to bankrupt the entire Jiang family.

“Manage the team?”

The smile on Su Linyu’s face gradually disappeared. She lowered her head slightly, disappointnt hidden in her eyes.

She had thought Brother Yichen had finally realized how good she was, which was why he had treated her so well today.

So it had all been for Lin Wan after all. After all, the Yanhuang Team Lin Wan had joined was also the team Brother Yichen had founded.

“Brother Yichen, I helped you manage it back in freshman year, but weren’t you afraid I would interfere with you and Lin Wan? You even scolded ...” Su Linyu’s tone was a little aggrieved.

Jiang Yichen froze, rembering freshman year. Back then, Su Linyu had often co to help with the team, contributing both money and effort so that he would not be too exhausted.

But in order to prove his unwavering devotion to Lin Wan, he had flown into a rage at Su Linyu and even cursed her as a shaless bitch who ruined other people’s relationships.

Her parents and her older brother had even co to the Jiang family demanding an explanation, publicly declaring that if she helped him again, then they would no longer acknowledge her as their daughter.

Damn it, I was such a piece of trash.

“How about this? If you agree to help manage the team, I’ll consider the marriage alliance with the Su family.”

The mont Jiang Yichen threw out that absolute trump card, Su Linyu’s originally disappointed expression instantly turned to shock.

Uncle Feng also looked utterly incredulous. As he looked at the young master, he felt more and more that sothing was off, and unease rose in his heart.

“Really?” Su Linyu asked in disbelief.

After all, ever since Brother Yichen had gotten together with Lin Wan, he had constantly wanted to break off their engagent.

If she had not agreed to his demand not to tell others about their engagent, then she probably would have lost the Brother Yichen she loved long ago.

Jiang Yichen nodded. “Really. I keep my word.”

Su Linyu’s hands fidgeted helplessly. In truth, her heart was full of hesitation, because Lin Wan was in the Yanhuang Team.

For Brother Yichen to suddenly ask her to help manage the team, he was surely thinking of doing sothing for Lin Wan again. He was probably only lying to her about considering the marriage alliance.

But if she refused, what if Brother Yichen ignored her in the future?

Yet if she agreed, her parents and older brother would scold her again, perhaps even reject her as their daughter.

Su Linyu shut her eyes tightly and struggled for a while before suddenly opening them. “All right, I promise, Brother Yichen!”

Jiang Yichen smiled faintly. “Then thank you. If the money isn’t enough, co to for more.”

The mont Su Linyu heard him thank her, she imdiately threw her head up and raised both hands, brimming with energy.

“Yay! From now on, I’m Brother Yichen’s exclusive agent! I’m going to help make Brother Yichen’s team bigger and stronger!”

Jiang Yichen smiled helplessly.

Uncle Feng, anwhile, pressed a hand to his forehead and muttered under his breath, “What is wrong with young people these days? Every one of them is worse than the last... Sigh. No, I need to warn that unlucky son of mine. The family fortune I have won’t survive this kind of spending.”

He quietly took out his phone and bombarded his son with ssages.

By the ti the sun had fully risen, Jiang Yichen had caught up on so sleep aboard the fighter aircraft, and before long, it was nearly twelve.

“@All mbers, graduation photos will be taken at two o’clock this afternoon. Please arrive on ti.”

Looking at the ssage in the class group chat, Jiang Yichen nodded, then glanced at Su Linyu, who was sitting beside him writing sothing down.

Curious, he leaned over to take a look. A managent course for running teams was playing on her phone, and the girl was seriously taking notes.

With a fiancée like this, I really must have been out of my mind in my previous life to end up with that ungrateful wretch Lin Wan.

Jiang Yichen did not disturb her. He rely beckoned Uncle Feng.

“Let’s go. We’re heading to school.”
