Lin Jiang went ho after dropping off Jiang Xiaoqi.

He had just finished washing up when he received a ssage from Jiang Xiaoqi.

Jiang Xiaoqi: "Brother Jiang, the thod you suggested worked! [Laughing]"

Jiang Xiaoqi: "His family said Zhang Chenglong isn’t good enough for , so they’re calling it off for now. [Smug]"

Lin Jiang: "Plan successful."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "If my family ever arranges another blind date for , I’ll just use this thod, hehe."

Lin Jiang: "You can’t use it every ti. Soone’s bound to think you’re joking and not take it seriously."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "Then I’ll just use my ultimate move and show them I’m not kidding. [Wicked smile]"

Lin Jiang: "Ultimate move?"

Jiang Xiaoqi: "I’ll just send a few risqué photos. That’ll make them back off."

’Hold on, girl, sothing’s not right here!’

Lin Jiang recalled that when he had suggested the idea to her, she had agreed without much protest.

’The guys on the forums weren’t lying, were they?’

Lin Jiang: "Well, if that’s the case, I’m not sleepy anymore."

Jiang Xiaoqi: [Image.jpg]

Jiang Xiaoqi: "These are the nude stockings I just bought yesterday. Hehe, do they look good?"

Lin Jiang: "Now I’m really not sleepy at all. [Snickering]"

When seeing this kind of photo, responding with a horny emoji would seem low-class.

But you couldn’t act all prim and proper either. They were both adults; no need to act like a fucking simp.

So, a snickering emoji was the most appropriate. Combined with his previous words, it basically ant, ’I love what I’m seeing, so fucking send more.’

Jiang Xiaoqi: "Hehe, I think they look great too."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "But you’re the only one who can look. Don’t you dare leak them."

Lin Jiang: "What’s in it for ?"

Jiang Xiaoqi: "I’ll show you one more then."

’Damn, she really gets it.’

Jiang Xiaoqi: [Image.jpg]

This one was a cosplay of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker, and her legs were, admittedly, quite remarkable.

’I hope she cosplays as Mai Shiranui next, or other beauties like Nami or Robin.’

’And now, it was ti for so extre push-and-pull.’

Lin Jiang: "I thought the JK uniform was already invincible, but I didn’t expect the cosplay to be even more daring."

At a ti like this, simple complints were useless. You had to get a little creative.

Besides, the stupidest thing to do was to pretend to be a gentleman.

’We’re all fucking mammals; it’s not even certain who’s enjoying this more.’

Jiang Xiaoqi: "It’s a deal, then. This is just for you. You can’t show anyone else."

Lin Jiang: "No problem. But I suggest you go with your natural look next ti."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "No way, they’re too small. Cosplaying a teacher wouldn’t look good."

With that "they’re too small," Lin Jiang finally figured out what kind of attribute Jiang Xiaoqi had.

’The experience of the masters really wasn’t just hot air.’

Lin Jiang: "It’s fine. You can just use a bit of ’tech’."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "Haha, Brother Jiang, you know so much."

Jiang Xiaoqi: "I’m going to take a shower now. Brother Jiang, rember to keep my secret."

Lin Jiang: "Okay."

Jiang Xiaoqi went to take a shower, so Lin Jiang prepared to watch so "beaker" livestreams.

’I fucking love chemistry.’

...

For the next two days, things were quiet for Lin Jiang.

Zhao Fangfei took the initiative to send him a ssage, saying it might take a few more days to get the property deed back and told Lin Jiang not to worry.

They used this as an opportunity to chat for a while.

After he got money, conversations beca much easier. He didn’t have to find topics; the won would find them on their own and would never let the conversation drop.

The past few days had been busy, but now that he had ti, he needed to put the renovation on his schedule.

He needed to buy furniture, and there might be so details to change. That work needed to start soon.

At the sa ti, the security caras he ordered online arrived. The seller would arrange for soone to co and install them tomorrow.

"Brother Jiang, a bowl of chicken noodle soup."

Qin Youyou walked in from outside, wearing gray sweatpants, a form-fitting top, and a white windbreaker. She was also carrying a large bag.

"Brother Zhang, cook a chicken noodle soup," Li Yuanyuan called out to the kitchen.

"Got it," Zhang Guofu replied blandly.

"What’s in the bag?" Lin Jiang asked casually.

"My period is coming, and my cramps are terrible. I went to get so traditional Chinese dicine."

Speaking of traditional Chinese dicine, Lin Jiang thought of Xu Lin. If an opportunity like this ca up again, he could introduce so business to her.

Lin Jiang took the bag and glanced inside. It contained several clear plastic bags filled with Chinese dicinal herbs he didn’t recognize.

There was also a small slip of paper inside with a prescription written on it.

"I know soone who sells traditional Chinese dicine. They’re totally reliable. You can co to next ti; it might even be cheaper than where you bought this."

"Oh, that’s great! After I finish this month’s supply, I’ll buy from you next ti."

"No problem."

While the two were talking, Li Yuanyuan brought out Qin Youyou’s noodles.

"I’ve been so busy these past few days. I was dying for a taste of your noodles," Qin Youyou said, picking up her chopsticks and salivating.

"What’s up? Went back to inherit the family business?"

"Sothing like that. My dad doesn’t want to fool around anymore, so he gave so of the company’s work. It’s so annoying. I kept saying I wanted to treat you to a al, but I haven’t had any free ti."

"It’s your family’s business; you’ll have to take it over sooner or later. Since you can’t fight it, you might as well lie back and enjoy it," Lin Jiang said with a smile.

"The main thing is, I’m not enjoying it at all. I can’t enjoy it one bit."

"There’s always a process. If neither you nor your sister takes over, are they supposed to give it to a son-in-law? An outsider is never as reliable as family."

"That depends on the person. I think you’re a reliable person," Qin Youyou said, looking at Lin Jiang with a grin.

"How about you choose between and my sister?"

"I’m an adult."

"Huh? I know you’re an adult?"

"Adults don’t make choices."

"Pfft-hahaha... Brother Jiang, your ideas are so bold," Qin Youyou giggled.

"But then again, that seems to be every man’s dream. Being with two sisters at once must be pretty exciting."

"I haven’t tried it, so I wouldn’t know."

"Brother Jiang, you’ve beco naughty," Qin Youyou said with a laugh, changing the subject.

"By the way, when I was on my way here, I saw that the Spring Harmony Noodle Shop was still closed. Did they go out of business?"

"They’re suspended for three days for rectification. Today is the last day, so they’ll probably open tomorrow."

"They’re pretty persistent. Even after all that, they’re still going head-to-head with you."

"Let’s take it slow. No need to rush," Lin Jiang said with a smile.

"True... Hmm?"

After taking a bite, Qin Youyou’s expression changed slightly. "The noodle soup seems a little salty today, but it’s not a big deal."

Lin Jiang paused.

’I just perfected the broth this morning. For him to be pulling this shit now... that son of a bitch.’

"I’ll go adjust it in a bit."

"No need. It might just be that I’ve been eating bland food lately, so I’m not used to your shop’s flavors anymore," Qin Youyou said as she continued eating her noodles.

"Oh, right, Brother Jiang, make another chicken noodle soup to go. My sister wants to eat your noodles too."

"Yuanyuan, cook another chicken noodle soup to go. Separate the noodles and the broth."

"You got it."

"Brother Jiang, when I have ti, let’s go on a little date. You have to let treat this ti."

"Alright, I won’t argue with you this ti."

"Mhm."

After chatting for a bit, Qin Youyou finished her noodles and left with the take-out order.

After Qin Youyou left, Lin Jiang posted a job opening online. This Zhang Guofu character couldn’t be kept around for long.

He could manage the shop by himself for a few days. He wouldn’t let him co to work tomorrow.

’But it’s been so many days since the Jiang Xiaoqi task started. Why hasn’t there been any progress?’

Just then, a notification sound chid.
