For Knights like them, only by keeping their heads down could they hope to live a little longer.

....

While the entire garrison was in an uproar over Pei Ze, the man himself had locked himself in his room, engrossed in counting his spoils.

There were two dinsional bags in total.

Li Ke’s dinsional bag was filled with the most random assortnt of things: food, fresh water, clothes, and all sorts of other daily necessities.

The man had clearly been prepared to hide out for a long ti.

Too bad he never got the chance to use any of it.

Pei Ze didn’t think much of it, tossing it all aside to be dealt with later.

As for money, there were over thirty Magic Stone Coins, more than a thousand Gold Coins, and so loose Silver and Copper Coins.

There were also over thirty bottles of potions, but they were all unranked and only worth a few hundred Gold Coins.

Besides that, there were so materials, though very few were valuable.

’The so-called Glutton, and he doesn’t even have fifty Magic Stone Coins to his na. What a pitiful existence.’

Pei Ze grumbled inwardly.

But after carefully sorting through the materials, he suddenly noticed a few tal ingots.

The ingots were a bright silver color, cool and smooth to the touch. They felt very hard and heavy when gripped.

Pei Ze studied them for a mont, and his eyes gradually lit up.

’Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron!’

Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron was a rare tallic material.

When molten, the tal was extrely malleable, yet it beca incredibly hard upon cooling. It also possessed excellent conductivity for Spiritual Power, on par with even Mithril. For these reasons, it was often used to forge Magic Weapons.

Adding even a small amount of Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron when crafting a Magic Weapon could drastically improve its quality.

As a result, Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron was quite popular in Enchanter circles, which also drove its price sky-high.

One kilogram of Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron was worth as much as fifteen Magic Stone Coins, almost equivalent to a Glimr-grade Magic Item.

And the three ingots of Silver Dragon Tungsten Iron in Pei Ze’s hands weighed at least seven or eight kilograms in total. They were worth over a hundred Magic Stone Coins—more expensive than everything else in the dinsional bag combined.

’So this is the most valuable treasure after all.’

A delighted smile spread across Pei Ze’s face, and he silently apologized to Li Ke in his heart.

’My apologies. I shouldn’t have called you a poor bastard.’

After stowing the items away, Pei Ze moved on to inspect Huo Nan’s dinsional bag.

Compared to the Glutton, the assets of a dignified Military Governor were far more substantial.

There were over a hundred Magic Stone Coins alone, along with seven or eight thousand Gold Coins.

He had more than two hundred bottles of various potions.

Among them were nearly thirty bottles of Dragon Blood Potion and Blood Boiling Potion, the two potions most popular with Knights.

Pei Ze did a rough calculation. The total value of the items in Huo Nan’s dinsional bag already exceeded one hundred twenty Magic Stone Coins.

Adding that to the contents of Li Ke’s dinsional bag, Pei Ze’s total haul this ti was nearly three hundred Magic Stone Coins, almost what he would earn from selling four or five batches of potions.

’No wonder so many people resort to killing and looting. The money cos in way too fast.’

Pei Ze lanted to himself.

Of course, high returns often ca with high risks.

Without sufficient strength, those who killed and looted would often beco the ones who were killed and looted.

After sorting his spoils and storing them away in his dinsional bag with satisfaction, Pei Ze stretched and looked out the window.

’I wonder how Teacher is doing?’

Pei Ze pondered for a mont, then shook his head.

Since his teacher said he would handle it, all Pei Ze had to do was wait with an easy mind.

Instead of worrying about that, he might as well think about his rit points.

During the earlier clearing operations, Pei Ze had gradually accumulated over two hundred rit points.

Combined with the seven hundred-plus from the previous encirclent mission, his total had just barely surpassed one thousand rit points.

And the reward for killing the Glutton this ti was a full one thousand rit points.

All told, the rit points he now had exceeded two thousand, enough to exchange for a spot in the Realm of Truth.

At this thought, an involuntary smile touched Pei Ze’s lips.

He really had Huo Nan to thank for this. If he hadn’t "delivered" the Glutton to him, there was no way Pei Ze could have gathered enough rit points to exchange for a spot in the Realm of Truth.

Not only had he secured a spot, but he had also definitively won his bet with Gu Lin. It was a double victory.

Thinking of Gu Lin’s frustrated expression, the smile on Pei Ze’s lips widened.
