The poor Fierce Wild Boarman couldn’t keep up with his speed at all, and could only grunt and puff as it struggled to chase after him.

In less than two minutes, Pei Ze reached the central hall.

At almost the sa ti, figures rushed out from the hall’s other three exits.

The one directly across from Pei Ze was none other than the golden-haired, blue-eyed girl he had just seen.

From the left exit ca two Wizard Apprentices wearing leather armor under their black robes, their auras sharp and capable.

To the right were three young apprentices. Judging by the badges on their chests, they were students from the Shadow Academy.

Pei Ze and Xiao Xi’s eyes t from across the hall.

A flicker of understanding passed between them. In an instant, they reached a silent agreent and sprang forward, one heading left and the other right, each charging toward a stone pillar holding a Rainbow Gemstone.

Seeing this, the expressions of the other two groups changed. Without a word, they moved to intercept.

The two black-robed apprentices decisively charged toward Xiao Xi, who was closer. They slashed out with their blades, tearing through the air and creating a piercing sonic boom. In that instant, two fiery red energy blades shot like arrows toward the golden-haired girl.

Facing the incoming energy blades, Xiao Xi’s expression remained unchanged, and her speed didn’t slow in the slightest. Only at the mont the blades were about to hit her did her body suddenly burst apart, transforming into a black cloud composed of flies.

The two energy blades passed straight through the black cloud and struck the ground nearby, blasting two deep trenches with a BOOM.

The black cloud, anwhile, rushed toward the stone pillar without pause. It snatched the Rainbow Gemstone and imdiately dashed for the nearest exit.

The two black-robed apprentices cursed in frustration and gave chase without hesitation.

anwhile, the three apprentices from the Shadow Academy nacingly blocked Pei Ze’s path to his pillar.

The leader, a red-haired young man with three horizontal black lines painted on his left cheek, muttered a quick incantation. Instantly, with a series of sharp CRACKS, countless earth elents gathered, forming a giant rock nearly a ter in diater in midair. It then hurtled toward Pei Ze like a cannonball.

Another black-haired young man with an earring also sneered, releasing eight Magic Missiles that flew at Pei Ze from both sides.

The last apprentice used the opportunity to rush for the Rainbow Gemstone.

Pei Ze snorted coldly and swung his sword.

"Get lost!"

The mont the words left his lips, a violent hurricane erupted, becoming an invisible shockwave that swept forward. The air in its path twisted and warped, creating a visible trail of distortion.

Gale Slash!

BOOM!

The giant rock shattered the instant it hit the hurricane, and the eight Magic Missiles were caught in its powerful vortex, torn apart, and annihilated.

The violent hurricane, with its fierce and domineering power, crushed forward, slamming into the red-haired and black-haired young n.

Before their terrified eyes, the Mage Armor on their bodies shattered, unable to withstand the force for even a mont. The Defense Magic Items they carried cracked one after another, each one breaking as its defensive limit was exceeded.

The next instant, a sharp glint of light from his sword flashed by like lightning, slicing across both their necks.

PFFT!

Two blossoms of crimson blood blood in the air.

The third apprentice had just grabbed the Rainbow Gemstone. He turned back with a look of pleasant surprise, only to be t with the sight of his two companions collapsing, clutching their throats in despair.

His face instantly turned deathly pale.

The next second, it felt as if his head had been struck by a heavy hamr, and a wave of dizziness washed over him.

When he finally managed to clear his head, he was t with the sight of a massive, blazing Fireball.

"No—"

His short scream had just begun when it was drowned out by a deafening explosion.

The unlucky bastard didn’t even have ti to activate his Teleportation Ring before he was engulfed in surging flas, sharing his companions’ fate.

With an indifferent expression, Pei Ze caught the Rainbow Gemstone that had been sent flying by the blast. After a quick glance to confirm the Gemstone was unhard, he rushed out of the hall without looking back.

...

「On the mountainside.」

Seeing Pei Ze get the Rainbow Gemstone, a wave of gasps rippled through the crowd.

"He’s too strong! Those three Wizard Apprentices from the Shadow Academy were no match for him at all!"

"Now all three Rainbow Gemstones have been claid. Let’s see if they can hold onto them."

"Look, everyone else is going after them."

The image on the light screen changed, shifting to a large, flat map. On it, three golden dots of light were moving quickly, while more than a dozen white dots closed in from all directions, forming an encirclent.

As the hunt was about to begin, many in the crowd grew visibly excited.

Only the apprentices from the Shadow Academy had incredibly gloomy expressions.

It wasn’t just because Pei Ze had killed three of their classmates, but also because he had obtained a Rainbow Gemstone before ng Wei.

ng Kai’s face was as black as thunder.

’The worst-case scenario happened after all.’

’How could Pei Ze have been the one to get the Rainbow Gemstone first?’

"Hee hee."

Gu Lin’s crisp, pleasant laughter ca from nearby. The girl lifted her chin slightly, looking smugly at ng Kai.

"Looks like you’re going to lose."

Hearing this, ng Kai’s face darkened even further. "The trial isn’t over," he said through clenched teeth. "The final outco is still unknown, so don’t get cocky!"

Gu Lin clasped her hands behind her back, her smile unfaltering, and didn’t retort.

This only served to make him even more furious.

ng Kai was seething and about to say more, but he suddenly caught sothing in the corner of his eye. His eyes lit up, and he laughed heartily. "Now for the main event!"

Gu Lin’s smile faded slightly. She followed his gaze and saw on the light screen that a white dot had, at so point, caught up to the one representing Pei Ze.

Next to the dot was a na—ng Wei!

Gu Lin’s expression imdiately turned grave.

’She believed in Pei Ze’s strength, of course, but ng Wei was also a renowned powerhouse. If those two were to fight, it was hard to say who would win.’

ng Kai had complete confidence in his older brother. He shot a sideways glance at Gu Lin and sneered, "Soon you’ll see who the real powerhouse is!"

Gu Lin glanced at him but didn’t bother to respond, her eyes fixed on the light screen without blinking.

More and more people noticed this developnt, their gazes shifting to the screen.

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the distance between the two dots of light quickly closed to within a hundred ters. The view then zood in, revealing Pei Ze being pursued by ng Wei.

...

Pei Ze imdiately sensed the person chasing him. He glanced over his shoulder, and his gaze hardened.

’ng Wei!’

Pei Ze was, of course, familiar with this "seeded contestant," widely considered the one most likely to win a spot from the competition.

Especially since his opponent was a mber of a Bloodline Clan.

"Hand over the Rainbow Gemstone, and I’ll spare your life!" ng Wei shouted coldly.

Pei Ze let out a scornful laugh. ’These people have probably been flattered too much. They’re so used to being high and mighty that they treat everyone else like a pushover.’

He simply stopped in his tracks and turned to face ng Wei.

Seeing Pei Ze stop, ng Wei also ca to a wary halt, narrowing his eyes to size him up.

However, Pei Ze just stared at him with a half-smile, saying nothing.

At the sight, ng Wei’s gaze turned cold. He was about to speak when, in the next instant, he caught sight of a massive black shadow bursting out of a nearby room, charging toward him like a war chariot.

ng Wei’s full attention was on Pei Ze, and he never expected a sneak attack. Caught completely off guard, he was hit head-on by the black shadow and sent plowing back two or three hundred ters before finally crashing into the wall at the end of the corridor with a loud BOOM.

A huge roar echoed out as dust and smoke filled the air.

Only then did a high-pitched, bestial roar sound from within the dust.

It was the Fierce Wild Boarman.

After receiving Pei Ze’s command, it had been hiding in the room, waiting until both Pei Ze and ng Wei had stopped before launching its ferocious surprise attack.

’Of course, a sneak attack like this could never kill ng Wei. At most, it would cause him a little trouble.’

Taking this opportunity, Pei Ze began to cast a Gale Rune and an Earth Rune on himself, then added a Lightning Rune to his weapon.

Just as he finished, there was another huge roar, and the Fierce Wild Boarman ca flying backward out of the dust cloud, slamming hard onto the ground.

A bloody gash had been torn in its throat, the edges bearing the clear, ragged marks of teeth, as if it had been bitten and ripped apart by so fierce beast. Blood gushed out freely, and it clearly wasn’t going to survive.

CLOMP! CLOMP!

With heavy footsteps, ng Wei slowly erged from the dust.

His appearance had changed dramatically. He had transford from a handso young man of about 1.8 ters into an upright Werewolf that stood nearly three ters tall.

His entire body was covered in a thick coat of pure white fur.

His limbs had transford into bestial claws and paws, the sharp blades of his claws glinting with a cold, intimidating light in the torchlight.

"It seems you’re prepared to die."

ng Wei stared at Pei Ze, his eyes icy, as if looking at a dead man.

The next mont, he lunged forward, roaring as he charged murderously toward Pei Ze.
