The Soul Realm stretched out as an infinite, haunting expanse, a landscape born of the subconscious. It was a world of jagged peaks and deep, shadowed valleys, where the ground felt less like solid earth and more like the manifestation of mory itself.
The air was thick and stagnant, heavy with the weight of an approaching storm. From the mountain peak where Leon and Nexus stood, the horizon was swallowed by a dense, unnatural fog. This blanket of mist didn’t just obscure vision; it felt like a living shroud, creeping up from the front valley with a predatory patience.
Out of the shifting mist, the nightmares took shape. They erged in waves—creatures of twisted flesh and jagged bone, their forms defying the natural order.
Most were terrifying, hunched abominations that growled with a hunger for consciousness. Yet, towering above the rank and file were two entities so colossal they dwarfed the very mountains, their heads piercing the low-hanging clouds of the realm.
"Well... Those are so really big ass monsters," Leon spoke, his expression remaining neutral despite the scale of the threat.
Suddenly, the environnt behind him responded to his presence. The jagged stones of the peak began to grind and shift, sliding over one another with a rhythmic clatter, stacking themselves into a high-backed, imposing throne.
"Please, take a seat Sir," Nexus spoke as he pointed towards the throne.
"Okay," Leon replied with a neutral expression as he sat down on the cold stone.
"Leon Luster..." A loud voice, sharp and piercing, cut through the mist like a blade.
Leon imdiately looked at the source of the sound and noticed a woman walking out of the white haze. She wore a white robe and had nine white tails standing tall and rigid behind her. She also held a small folding fan in her hand that she waved at her face, a gesture of mock sophistication.
"A nine-tails..." Leon spoke in a low voice.
"It’s a creature that I choose from your mind... You find it quite terrifying for so reason," she spoke with a wide, predatory smile as her fangs appeared.
"Fucking bitch," Leon spoke in an angry voice as he grabbed the stone hand rest of the throne tightly.
"I will take over your soul realm and then your consciousness will have no place to escape. It will be mine and mine forever," she spoke with a wicked smile as she looked at Leon.
"RAGAL..." Leon shouted as he stood up from the throne. His eyes widened from excessive anger.
"Hmm...?" Ragal imdiately looked up at Leon with a confused expression.
"... I WANT THAT BITCH’S HEAD," he shouted loudly as he pointed towards the nine-tails.
"Who? Her? Very well then... She is my target now," Ragal spoke as he grabbed his blades and started running towards the horde of the monsters.
"Kill," the nine-tails spoke with a smile as she raised her hand towards Ragal.
*GRAAHHHHHHHHHH*
The valley erupted as every monster in the mist imdiately started running towards Ragal.
"Co co coeeeeeee... HUP..." Ragal shouted as he imdiately jumped from his position, clearing the first wave. The monsters stopped running as they looked up and noticed that Ragal was coming down on them instead.
*THUD*
*BOOOOOOOOM*
As soon as he landed on the ground, a shockwave of pure force rippled outward. All the monsters standing in a hundred-ter area around him got vaporized imdiately, reduced to ashes by the sheer pressure.
"CO ON MOTHERFUCKERS," Ragal shouted as he raised his swords towards the monsters. Without wasting another second, the remaining horde surged forward again.
"BLOOD VIPER."
Ragal spoke as he activated his skill. He raised both of his swords into the air and slashed the air vertically, carving twin gashes into the atmosphere. Two huge crimson vipers shot out of his blades, circulating around him in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.
"HISSSSSSSSSSSSS..."
"HISSSSSSSSSSSSS...."
As soon as the vipers touched the monsters, they turned into ashes.
"Fucking Hell. He really is one strong bastard," Leon spoke with a serious expression as he looked at Ragal from his high vantage point.
"I am coming for you bitch," Ragal spoke with a maniacal smile as he looked at the nine-tails.
"KILL HIM," the nine-tails shouted as she looked at Ragal.
*GRAAAAHHHHHHH...*
A huge ogre-like monster started running towards Ragal to intercept him.
"I don’t want to fight you bugs... Get out of my way," Ragal spoke as he imdiately disappeared from his position and re-appeared behind the monster.
*Slash-Slash-Slash-Slash*
The monster was imdiately sliced down into four different chunks of at as he turned into ashes and disappeared.
"GAWWWHHHHHHHHHH..." Two huge monsters that were taller than the mountains themselves started walking towards Ragal. One of them held a club made out of tal with jagged spikes on it, while the other held a massive trident in his hands.
"They are several tis bigger than him," Leon spoke with a serious expression.
"Sir Leon... No monster can win against Ragal," Nexus replied with a neutral expression.
"What?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"Ragal is too arrogant, Sir. These monsters are made out of illusions and since Ragal was never defeated in his entire life by anyone, he just doesn’t believe that there is soone or sothing stronger than him in this world. Illusion only works if the target has self-doubts, but Ragal is completely driven by his arrogance.
He will never accept defeat and that’s why these monsters can’t defeat him," Nexus explained as he looked at Leon.
’This motherfucker is winning just because he simply doesn’t believe that there is no creature or army in this world can defeat him?’ Leon thought with a serious expression as he turned to look at Ragal.
"HUAWWWWWWWWWWWWW.." The two demons rawred as they raised their weapons into the air and brought them down on him with full power.
*SWISSSH*
*SWISSHHH*
"Heh... The bigger you are, the harder you fall." Ragal spoke with a wide smile as he disappeared from his position and re-appeared behind one of the monster’s legs.
*SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH*
Without wasting another second, he did a number of attacks on both of his legs before disappearing and re-appearing behind the other monster’s legs and repeating the sa thing.
*SLASH-SLASH-SLASH-SLASH*
Both of the monsters imdiately lost their balance and fell down to the ground.
*THUDDDDDDDD*
*THUDDDDDDDD*
As soon as they hitted the ground, their bodies turned into ashes.
’How can my illusion fail like that ?’ The nine-tails thought as she looked at Ragal.
"You are next." Ragal spoke as he disappeared and re-appeared behind her.
