They replayed the events of yesterday in their minds.

The two were lost in their discussion.

...

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—

After so ti, a knock ca from the door.

The sound snapped Lu Cang out of their intense discussion...

"Co in," Iz said.

Permission was granted.

The doorknob turned, and Feize walked in, wearing a gentleman’s hat.

"Iz, we et again."

Feize hung his hat on a nearby rack. "Sigh," he said. "You refused to make an appearance in the war. A lot of people died in Lorren and Ruijia..."

Iz sighed and shook his head. "Feize, if you’re here to talk about the war, I’ll have to ask you to leave. I can take Lu Cang to the Mage Association and file his special admission application myself."

Feize paused for a mont, then chuckled. "Haha... Fine, we won’t talk about that."

Feize noticed Lu Cang and walked over, crouching down in front of him.

"It’s only been a little over two months, but you’ve grown so much."

"The last ti I saw you, I think you were only up to my waist."

Iz smiled. "He certainly has."

"I hear he’s already a Level 3 Warrior. That class-change phenonon this morning was him, wasn’t it?"

Feize said with a sigh, "It’s only been a few months... and he’s already comprehended Root Magic and Extre Battle Intent."

"I really envy you, Iz. You’ve found a great apprentice."

"Don’t you have an apprentice as well?" Iz said with a smile, sitting back down at the table and taking a sip of his coffee.

"Hmph—"

But at the ntion of his own apprentice, Feize sighed again and again.

He just kept shaking his head.

’So, is being an outstanding kid so kind of inherent cri?’

’People can’t help but make comparisons, can they?’

’Feize, you really don’t need to compare anyone else to ...’

’After all, I’m a true genius. If just anyone could asure up to a one-in-a-million talent, then geniuses would be a di a dozen in this world.’

Feize shook his head and sighed for a long ti before finally speaking. "That apprentice of mine... it’s been five years since his awakening, and he’s still just a Level 4 Mage."

Iz said, "That’s not bad, is it?"

Feize glanced at Iz, then back at Lu Cang.

’Not bad? What part of that is not bad?’

’Even I broke through to Level 5 Mage in my fourth year. Then, after being stuck at Level 5 for a long ti, I only managed to reach Level 6 at twenty-five.’

’And I’ve been at Level 6 for ten years now.’

’Getting from Level 6 to 7 is incredibly difficult. It feels like a distant dream.’

’But the thought of his own apprentice being stuck at Level 4 Mage filled him with frustration over the boy’s wasted potential.’

"Ah, forget it."

"Little Lu Cang, here is your Mage Association emblem."

"Give your left hand. I’m going to place the Mage Association’s contract sigil on you."

Lu Cang held out his left hand.

Leaving a contract brand on the back of the hand was a common practice in this world.

A faint blue light flashed across the back of his hand.

Lu Cang felt he had received the corresponding permissions; he should now be able to access certain restricted areas within the Mage Association.

"There we go."

"Thank you, Uncle Feize."

"Haha, work hard. One day you’ll surpass this guy, Iz."

"That guy... Hah."

In Feize’s opinion, if Iz were to join the fight, the war’s outco would be certain.

There would be far fewer sacrifices and casualties.

Even if all three of Ruijia’s Level 6 Reincarnators ca forward together, they would still have to shrink back from Izparut’s might.

He might even have been able to unify the entire Ruijia Continent single-handedly.

Regardless, his power as a deterrent would have absolutely minimized the sacrifices.

But he was simply unwilling.

And so, many people died in the war.

But Feize also understood that, in truth, Iz’s actions hadn’t wronged anyone...

No one could be blad for being unwilling to participate in a war.

Especially since Iz wasn’t a citizen of any nation.

It would just be better if he were willing.

As for Lu Cang, perhaps he would be willing to do so in the future... He’d heard that Lu Cang had already joined Lorren. Perhaps one day he would have ideas about changing this continent.

Iz glanced at the ti. "Let’s go. It’s almost ti for our appointnt."

Lu Cang was confused. "Isn’t it still early? We have another half hour."

Iz smiled. "I’ll give you a tour of the academy."

Lu Cang thought for a mont. "Alright, that sounds good."

Feize said, "In that case, I’ll go check on my apprentice."

Iz replied, "Alright. I won’t see you out."

Lu Cang left the room with Iz.

The Lorentz Magic Academy occupied a massive area.

’If I’m reading this map right, it must be ten tis the size of my university from my past life.’

Most classes were held in a complex of buildings known as the Tower of Knowledge.

It was divided into the Soul Tower, the Fire Tower, the Ice Tower, the Spiritual Tower, the Tower of Light, and so on.

Each of the great towers corresponded to a different Magic Faction.

The different floors of the towers also corresponded to magic courses from Tier One to Tier Four.

Aside from the academic district, there were also areas like the Magic Library, Dormitories, a Cafeteria, and a Magic Battle Arena.

’It’s actually a lot like my university from my past life.’

And...

Extending his Perception, Lu Cang also spotted so non-human races.

’Are those ones with the pointed ears Elves?’

’Co to think of it, I’ve never asked what race Kumironi and Lu Luwei are. Their ears are pointed, too.’

’But there seems to be so difference between the two of them.’

In addition, Lu Cang saw a race of people with lizard-like tails.

’They look a bit like the legendary Dragonkin.’

Lu Cang couldn’t be sure, though.

As they walked, Iz explained various things, and they soon arrived at a standalone building.

"This is your residence at the academy," he said.

"If you don’t feel like going ho, you can stay here."

Lu Cang said, "Wow, they even assigned a house."

Iz laughed. "This is the most basic perk. You’ll be teaching here, so of course you get to enjoy the benefits the academy provides."

They finished their hurried tour in just over twenty minutes...
