[Concealnt Prayer LV1: When you clasp your hands together, you randomly teleport to a hidden location within a ten-kiloter radius.]

[Upgrade progress: 0/100.]

"Huh? There’s a level?"

"This superpower can be upgraded?!"

Su Xin imdiately noticed the word ’upgrade’, and his eyes sparkled with excitent.

He never planned to achieve great things, nor did he want to amass wealth or wield high political power. He just wanted to live a simple life and enjoy it to the fullest.

But the opportunity to possess a powerful superpower still filled him with anticipation.

Even if he wouldn’t use the superpower for making money or playing world domination gas, it would make his life more confident.

Besides...

Isn’t it interesting?

Just like playing an online ga.

Su Xin eagerly asked the system in his mind, "How do superpowers get upgraded?"

"..."

After a few seconds of silence, Su Xin looked helpless.

"So, it’s a dumb system, huh."

But soon, he recalled the ssage he received in his mind when the system was activated, which ntioned the existence of causal points.

This was obviously the currency within the system.

Previously, he didn’t understand the use of causal points. Now it seems their function... or one of their functions, is to upgrade various Causality Law Superpowers.

And the way to obtain causal points is by performing acts of kindness for others. In Su Xin’s previous life, as the Buddhist Family would say, it’s about making others incur karma, from which the system can obtain varying amounts of causal points.

"Seems like there’s no difficulty in that."

"Performing acts of kindness, isn’t that just helping people?"

"Helping others in daily life can gradually accumulate causal points to upgrade superpowers? That’s fine, as long as it doesn’t make do anything too outrageous. I certainly don’t want to upset my current tranquil life."

Su Xin smiled with understanding.

Then his attention focused on the superpower [Concealnt Prayer].

The introduction of the superpower was quite simple.

Just clasping his hands together allowed teleportation.

Although it was random teleportation, the destination was a hidden location, which at least guaranteed he wouldn’t teleport in front of a crowd.

As long as no one saw him activate the superpower, he should be able to remain completely undetected.

With great interest, after leaving the restaurant, Su Xin returned ho and, just in case, changed into casual clothes and put on a mask before attempting to clasp his hands together.

The mont his palms touched.

Su Xin saw a brief blur before his eyes.

When he could see clearly again, he found himself in an empty alley, with faint human voices in the distance and the noise of a shoddy exhaust fan overhead.

This was a gap between two residential buildings, about a ter wide, with a ssy ground that clearly indicated it wasn’t a place people usually walked through.

"Whoa, it really teleported."

"And without any noticeable fatigue, this is so amazing!"

Su Xin looked amazed.

Then he opened the superpower panel to check the upgrade progress for [Concealnt Prayer]. As he expected, it remained at 0/100, clearly not upgrading with usage.

He slightly separated his closed palms.

Then he clasped them again.

Another brief blur before his eyes.

He found himself in another location.

This magical ability beca even more enticing, prompting Su Xin to teleport several more tis in succession.

Until the sixth teleportation, just as Su Xin regained clarity of vision, he heard the sound of a doorknob turning behind him.

He quickly clasped his hands together again.

His figure vanished instantly.

At that mont, a young woman in casual ho clothes just opened the door, looking around the bathroom with a puzzled expression and muttered:

"Strange, I thought I saw a shadow?"

But in the narrow bathroom, there was no place to hide. The woman just thought she was seeing things and didn’t dwell on it, as she walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind her.

...

"Whew! That scared !"

"I almost got caught."

Su Xin let out a sigh of relief.

However, this ti he appeared in a warehouse piled with goods. He didn’t know if there were people or surveillance caras outside, so to be safe, he chose to teleport again.

Another blur before his eyes.

When Su Xin ca to his senses, he found himself standing on a pile of rocks, just as a wave crashed against a large stone, creating a splash over two ters high that drenched him head to toe.

"What the...!"

Su Xin was dumbfounded.

Looking at the boundless sea ahead, he realized a concern—most areas of the sea are also uninhabited, fitting the hidden criteria. If he teleports again, could he end up in the middle of the sea?

Or even underwater?

It seems this ability carries so dangers?

Wiping his face, Su Xin cautiously retreated a bit, then took the ti to observe his surroundings.

In front of him was the sea, and behind was a small slope topped by an endless-looking green barrier, evidently the outer side of a coastal road. However, since the slope beside the coastal road was a bit steep, he couldn’t see if there were any vehicles on the road from his current position.

If he wanted to go ho.

He could either continue using the random teleportation ability of [Concealnt Prayer].

Or climb up to the road to hitch a ride.

"Maybe it’s not as dangerous as I thought..."

Su Xin appeared pensive.

After squeezing as much water as he could from his hair and clothes, he had the opportunity to seriously ponder more details about the [Concealnt Prayer] ability.

From the experiences of teleporting several tis.

Teleportation almost didn’t consu any stamina.

And there was no cooldown ti.

The destinations were indeed uninhabited.

There was one more point he hadn’t initially considered: given it’s random teleportation, appearing in the air, at sea, or even underground should theoretically be possible.

But each ti he landed on the ground.

This suggests that the teleportation landing point, apart from being concealed, has another hidden feature—

The landing point is sowhere he can stand firmly.

Otherwise, it would be too coincidental for his feet to land precisely on the ground each ti after teleporting, instead of a few centiters, dozens of centiters, or even over ten ters in the air, or at sea.

"So, if I teleport again, there’s a high probability I’ll end up sowhere safe? Rather than falling into the sea?"

Despite thinking this, Su Xin looked at the endless sea view, hesitated for a mont, and still dared not teleport, afraid his assumption might be wrong.

Having finally gained the life he dread of, he really didn’t want to take risks.

Ignorance is bliss.

Initially, he hadn’t considered the potential risks of this superpower and used it freely.

But now, aware of possible dangers, even if the probability is slim, he felt cautious.

"Forget it, I’ll climb up this ti."

Su Xin turned to look at the steep slope in front of him.

The slope wasn’t particularly steep, angled at about sixty to seventy degrees, and only five or six ters high. The slope was bare, with exposed rock layers. As long as a person’s physical ability wasn’t too poor, they could climb up easily.

Despite enjoying a life of leisure, Su Xin paid great attention to maintaining his physical health, especially since he had died of cancer in his early thirties in his previous life. In this life, he wanted to live for several decades longer, which made him form a habit of exercising regularly, keeping his fitness not too far from that of professional athletes.

It only took a minute or two.

And he could easily climb up.

Just as he clambered over the barrier, he spotted a red figure approaching rapidly in the distance, accompanied by the low roar of an engine.

Without hesitation, Su Xin quickly waved his arms for help in the red figure’s direction.
