Qiann Yan: "I’ll give my money to whoever I want. What right do you have to intervene?"
"If you give the money to Little Han, don’t expect to take care of you in your old age," Jiang Cong said righteously, still glaring at Jiang Jinghan with a hostile look.
Jiang Jinghan was amused by the absurdity, thinking this truly was a piece of work.
Even Jiang Lid chid in, "Exactly. You’re not favoring Little Cong, but instead favoring a married-off daughter. Let’s see who takes care of you in your old age."
Qiann Yan: "Then return all the expenses I spent on you over those years."
Jiang Cong was slightly intimidated by her words, seeking help from Jiang Lid.
Clearly, this was the ti when his dad should act, but who knows why today his dad just stood there, not making a move.
Perhaps Jiang Lid wanted to assert authority in front of his son, so he slapped Qiann Yan across the face, catching her off guard, intending to teach her a lesson and vent his own frustration.
The slap was ruthless, if Qiann Yan were just any ordinary person, she might really have been hit.
But she was Qiann Yan.
When Jiang Lid’s slap ca over, she countered with a slap of her own, fiercely striking Jiang Lid’s face, instantly making his eyes see stars.

In front of Jiang Cong, Qiann Yan then beat Jiang Lid as he did before to the original owner, all the while scolding him. Jiang Lid could only curl up on the ground clutching his head, unable to resist.
Jiang Cong was shocked, completely unsure what to do.
Stepping back to reality, he quickly rushed over, calling on Jiang Jinghan: "Seeing Dad being beaten, are you happy? Aren’t you going to try to stop them?"
"Back then Mom would often get beaten, but I never saw you so concerned. Rember the year Mom was beaten so badly she couldn’t get out of bed, yet you seed accustod to it, eating and drinking without caring about Mom’s life. Why is it now that Dad is taking a few hits, you’re this stressed?" Jiang Jinghan said with a ghostly tone.

She didn’t help simply because her mom was formidable and didn’t need her, otherwise she really wanted to beat Jiang Lid up.
Jiang Cong still went to pull people away, yet was stunned by Qiann Yan with a slap in return.
Qiann Yan stood up, shaking her hand, her gaze swept over Jiang Cong’s face: "Protecting your dad this much, need money from him, why co asking ?"
Jiang Cong wanted to say sothing, but thinking of Qiann Yan’s fierceness, he ended up cowed.
He didn’t understand how in just a month his mom had changed like this.
Jiang Cong looked to Jiang Lid for help, Jiang Lid shook his head bitterly at him.
"Since you’re back, and there’s no work right now, go start working in the field," Qiann Yan grabbed Jiang Lid by the shoulder, pulling him up, "Little Han, fetch a bamboo stick, here in the village which man doesn’t work? Useless ones who don’t work deserve a beating."
Jiang Lid trembled all over, looking to Jiang Cong for help.
Jiang Cong thought for a mont, then quickly left.
Not long after, officers arrived at the house, Jiang Cong had called the police.
Qiann Yan and Jiang Lid were both taken to the police station, Jiang Lid seeing Jiang Cong’s smug expression, but he didn’t feel optimistic at all.
"Auntie, dostic violence is unacceptable."
Qiann Yan: "Was it unacceptable before? He used to treat this way."
The officers exchanged glances, for a mont they were stunned.
Qiann Yan: "Since the officers say it’s unacceptable, I admit my mistake."
Once again the officers were stunned, why did they feel this scene was so familiar?
