Leo leaned back in the chair slightly, his chin tilted up, and his gaze was locked at Jimmy Shelby. His fingers danced on the table as he rocked his chair a little.
It has been a few minutes since Little Cherry left them alone. The young man kept looking at Jimmy Shelby silently. The latter was wearing a sky blue shirt, sa as the one on the Television. He was looking back at Leo, but his eyes were flickering.
Elvin looked at Leo and took a sip of his beer to hide the anxiety that was crawling up his spine. He knew that situation was tense, even in the past whenever Leo had these gestures on, it was obvious he was thinking of sothing drastic.
Jimmy himself was getting unsettled, in the past when Leo acted like this, he took down many wannabe people who reached out of their limit, and now, since he found out that Leo was a big boss, he knew that sothing was definitely up. In his mind, he could only think that Leo was probably linking him with Carole.
After ten minutes, Jimmy asked, "Did you call here to ask about the sa thing as the last? I am telling you that I am not linked with Carole Primal at all."
Leo nodded and blinked slowly as he said, "I know, but you are involved with Luger Family. Are you not?"
Elvin furrowed his brows and began to think about what Leo said, and turning to Jimmy he found that the latter had turned pale. Leo looked at Jimmy and asked, "Did you think that I have nothing at my disposal to find out? Did you think that I was unaware of the fact that you had motives of becoming friends with and Elvin almost at the ti when Carole and I had conflict in the first year?"
Elvin heard this and opened his eyes wide and Leo continued, "I am aware that your father happens to be an asset of the Luger family planted in this country for monitoring Carole Primal. After all, that scum is the son of their daughter, Matilda Luger, ruthless businesswoman and also a very protecting hen.
Old Man Shelby probably thought that just because he is using the cover of a farr in the north of the country, nobody would find him, right? If I give the information of his weekly connection with the Luger family to the governnt, what do you think will happen? I am sure you know what the Luger family is infamous for, right?"
It suddenly clicked to Elvin and he mumbled, "Economical Espionages three decades ago, seven countries almost collapsed because of the Luger family, the scythes of the Swastika."
Leo nodded and said, "Exactly, that sa Luger family, I think the man behind that fiasco was Carole's grandfather. Mikhail Luger. Now wonder Lady Matilda has planted your father here. He has been investing in many businesses and the prices are being regulated by them."
Jimmy gulped and his hand shiver, Leo smiled and said, "If you try to run away, my guard outside will catch you and then break your legs."
Jimmy sat up straight and asked, "What do you want with , Cardinal?"
Leo smiled, he said, "That would depend on your resolve, Shelby. I want a peaceful solution, but I am sure that you will not agree easily. I don't want your family to go through what I have been through. So, let cut to the chase.
I want you to expose your employer, Old Man Shelby and his wife for the financial network they have been using to launder money, and child abuse they did against you in your childhood."
Jimmy Shelby opened his eyes as he stood up and asked in horror, "How, how could you know?"
Even Elvin was shocked to see how deep Leo's hands ran. He was aware that Leo was resourceful but this was beyond his expectation. Leo smiled and said, "I have the files from the college counselor who gave you therapy to cope up with the trauma. It is not exactly acquired by the right ans. However, it will serve as a great evidence if I was to accuse them in public. The only downfall would be infamy."
Jimmy Shelby felt his legs turn soft. He knew that Leo would really do what he was talking about. Leo continued, "You wish to have a good life with your wife, Alina and child right?"
Jimmy nodded subconsciously, because in his mind, Leo was now the devil who had the purpose of destroying him completely. Leo asked, "Will you uncover your parents?"
Jimmy shook his head like a rattle and said, "If I did anything, they will find and kill along with my wife and child, I cannot do anything against them. Please spare us Leo, I will go back and never step in the Angkor City, ever!"
Leo shook his head and said, "If you did sothing they will kill you and your family, but if you didn't do anything, my people would squeeze the trigger and the brains of your wife will splash across the wall of your child's nursery, like a bright crimson flower."
Jimmy froze, and so did Elvin. Leo picked up his phone and dialed a number, the other party said, "Target acquired, Sir."
Leo nodded and said, "Initiate a live video call, and show the feed. Let confirm if this is the real target."
"Affirmative." Replied Julie.
The phone beeped, and Leo went through with the confirmation request. He looked at the screen and saw Alina sitting next to the window gently rocking the baby in her arms. He turned the phone towards Jimmy and said, "My sniper has your family in the cross hair. I will do what I must to save my family. Carole Primal is supported by his mother even if it is from the shadows.
If you agree to give up your employer, I will let your family go. I will help you with the money to go and live a life of luxury in so place where the Luger family won't be able to reach you. Not only that, for the next sixteen years, I will give you complete protection also.
However, if you don't then the death of your wife will be on your hands. You have two minutes to decide.
Julie, if you don't hear his agreent in two minutes, shoot her and be done with the instructions."
"Got it, Sir." Replied Julie and amidst the stunned gazes of the two, countdown began.
