"I must co up with a plan..."
Even though he hadn't moved forward yet, Qin Fang could already imagine how terrifying the number of Blue Blood Ice Bats blocking his way would be...
This thing is just like the Godslaying Worm; once it forms a swarm, not even a Grandmaster-level expert, let alone Qin Fang, who's just at the Grandmaster-level tier, can withstand the assault of the Blue Blood Ice Bats!
"The weakness of the Blue Blood Ice Bats..."
Charging through head-on would be sothing only a fool would do. As Qin Fang fought off the Blue Blood Ice Bats approaching him, he also searched for a way to deal with them, with the key being to exploit the weaknesses of these creatures.
"No spiritual energy... this won't work!"
Qin Fang imdiately dismissed this weakness.
Unless there is a cataclysm, such a situation would never occur, not to ntion this mysterious underground palace is already abundant with spiritual energy... Qin Fang even felt that the sixth layer of the underground palace must contain treasures like Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice, which allows the environnt to remain unchanged for millennia. The existence of such treasures ensures there will be no shortage of spiritual energy!
"Ice! Fear of fire..."
The Blue Blood Ice Bat can only survive in cold environnts, and once the temperature rises, even if Qin Fang doesn't act, they would perish on their own...
However, the environnt in the sixth layer of the underground palace is frigid, perfectly suited for the survival of Blue Blood Ice Bats. With treasures like the Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice, even if Qin Fang poured gasoline here, it likely wouldn't lt the solid ice.
Even if Qin Fang could remove the Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice to make the temperature less frigid, it would still be a distant solution to an imdiate problem... moreover, the Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice is surely hidden beneath thick solid ice, making it impossible to find.
"Right, fear of fire!"
Despite this weakness of the Blue Blood Ice Bats, Qin Fang thought of a way to deal with it, which is fire...
Gasoline?
Qin Fang isn't stupid!
This tactic could have been used on the fourth layer of the underground palace, but Qin Fang never tried it easily out of fear of causing trouble... Now the environnt of the sixth layer is even narrower than the fourth layer. If a fire were lit, the smoke alone would be enough to suffocate Qin Fang!
But does not using gasoline an Qin Fang has no way to produce fire?
Obviously not!
Boom~~~
Qin Fang withdrew the Flowing Shadow Divine Sword, spread his palms, and imdiately two balls of fla rose up from his palms...
The flas weren't particularly powerful or violent, but they did cause the surrounding temperature to rise considerably!
Fireball Technique!
This is the special skill Qin Fang extracted from the system when he reached Level 6, which he rarely used, only for sneak attacks in certain monts... as a result, Qin Fang seldom thought of it in ordinary tis.
It wasn't until he thought of using fire to deal with the Blue Blood Ice Bats that Qin Fang rembered he had such a skill.
Buzz~~~
Qin Fang slightly waved his arm, and the two balls of fla quickly streaked across the void, followed by a sizzling sound, and then burnt Blue Blood Ice Bat corpses fell from mid-air.
"It really works..."
Although he only burned a few Blue Blood Ice Bats, Qin Fang didn't care about that. What really caught his attention was that those Blue Blood Ice Bats seed to sense the heat of the flas in Qin Fang's hands and, rather than continuing to charge forward, they kept their distance.
Even when Qin Fang took a step forward, the Blue Blood Ice Bats didn't rush, but instead retreated even further...
It was this discovery that made Qin Fang certain his thod indeed has so effect!
"As long as it works! Ti is of the essence, must hurry..."
After confirming that the Fireball Technique worked, Qin Fang didn't dare to waste any ti and imdiately advanced deeper into the passage.
The Fireball Technique also consus mana points...
Qin Fang rarely used it usually, so his Mana Points were generally kept full, but now they were starting to be consud as he had to use them continuously. Qin Fang didn't know how long he could keep this up, but it certainly couldn't be for too long. Therefore, he didn't need to clear the Sixth Layer of the Underground Palace before his Mana Points were completely depleted!
With flas in hand, Qin Fang took a step forward, and those Blue Blood Ice Bats retreated, or scattered to the sides, all not daring to approach within a ter of Qin Fang... A few fearless Blue Blood Ice Bats that attempted to attack Qin Fang's retreat were easily slain by Qin Fang.
The terror of the Blue Blood Ice Bats lay in their numbers, venom, and bloodsucking. Their defense was very poor, completely different from the Godslaying Worm... Even a novice martial artist could easily kill them! Let alone a master like Qin Fang, who could crush them into a pulp with one step.
However, Qin Fang didn't dare press too hard, and could only move forward step by step, trying to give the Blue Blood Ice Bats ti to retreat. At worst, he would burn the Blue Blood Ice Bats blocking his path into a pile of charred remains.
Ten ters, twenty ters, thirty ters, fifty ters…
Qin Fang stepped forward one step at a ti, while his Mana Points were continually consud. The number of Blue Blood Ice Bats he had slain surpassed a hundred, but the number of Blue Blood Ice Bats blocking his way wasn't decreasing but increasing. They were nearly so dense that they completely blocked Qin Fang's path!
"I really don't know how so many Blue Blood Ice Bats survive…"
Looking at the dense swarm of Blue Blood Ice Bats, Qin Fang bitterly cursed.
The Underground Palace had existed for who knew how many years, and it was understandable Blue Blood Ice Bats could reproduce to this number. What he couldn't understand was how so many Blue Blood Ice Bats survived, as they needed to eat...
Yet, there were so many Blue Blood Ice Bats here it was hard to count, and Qin Fang's path forward beca increasingly difficult. Surrounding him, a circle with a radius of about a ter was ford, with several fearless Blue Blood Ice Bats breaking through to attack Qin Fang.
Although Qin Fang eventually stomped and burned them to death, he also suffered several bites… The Blue Blood Ice Bats' venom didn't harm Qin Fang, but they did suck quite a few mouthsful of his blood!
Qin Fang also tried using group attack skills against these Blue Blood Ice Bats, but the effectiveness wasn't great... While so Blue Blood Ice Bats were killed, their numbers were simply too vast to wipe out!
Even the group attack skill could only fend off their onslaught, but its effectiveness was weakening!
"This won't do! It's too slow…"
The entire passageway of the Sixth Layer of the Underground Palace was only over two hundred ters long. When Qin Fang covered about half the distance, his Mana Points had been depleted by more than half, yet the path ahead beca harder and the encirclent tightened.
If he continued at that pace, Qin Fang might not break through the Sixth Layer and would be subsud by the endless Blue Blood Ice Bats... At that point, he wouldn't even have the strength to swing his sword.
"If only this Fireball Technique could be used for area attacks…"
Qin Fang couldn't help but murmur in his heart.
Perhaps it was the thought that prompted a subconscious reaction; Qin Fang instinctively integrated the Fireball Technique into his group attack...
Buzz~~~
The two fireballs suddenly swelled up, transforming into a thick fiery arc that rushed out... Like a small fire dragon, it instantly engulfed the massive swarm of Blue Blood Ice Bats in front of him.
Qin Fang almost got burned by his own flas, but his quick reaction saved him from having his hair and eyebrows ignited... The fireball was exceptionally fierce.
Sizzle~~
Qin Fang was fine, but those Blue Blood Ice Bats were not so lucky...
They had no room to evade and could only suffer Qin Fang's terrifying fiery assault. Nearly within a ter or two range, all Blue Blood Ice Bats were burned into a mound of black, charred corpses, piling up on the ground!
"Is this possible?"
The result surprised Qin Fang a little. Glancing at his Mana Points, it seed the consumption had not increased, remaining the sa as the initial Fireball Technique consumption… which indicated an implicit approval of the Fireball Technique's consumption.
At this thought, Qin Fang, with a thought, wielded the Flowing Shadow Divine Sword, and a fierce Sword Qi burst forward. Qin Fang then integrated the Fireball Technique into it, imdiately causing a ferocious Fla Sword Qi to roar forward!
Where the Sword Qi passed, it shredded the Blue Blood Ice Bats into pieces, and the flas burned the surrounding Blue Blood Ice Bats into charred remains.
With a casual punch, a fireball attached, Qin Fang's fist transford into a flaming fist, striking the void nearby. The terrifying punch wind wrapped in flas swiftly engulfed the Blue Blood Ice Bats, killing dozens!
Qin Fang then used his Blast Technique... which, when combined with the Fireball Technique, beca a massive explosive fla, creating a powerful splinter effect!
"So that's possible too…"
The discovery brought joy to Qin Fang's face. It was like finding a new path for advancent.
He had always thought the Fireball Technique and his Cultivated Martial Arts were separate systems, and since the Fireball Technique was rarely used, he never considered combining these two systematic skills.
However, at this mont, Qin Fang realized he had missed an important trump card…
When his Fireball Technique was combined with his Martial Arts, it imdiately unleashed a more formidable Attack Power, leaving others with no defense… much stronger than using Martial Arts or the Fireball Technique alone, causing substantially higher damage.
