Grand Elder Wu lay on the ground, not because of old age or ill health, but because he had been severely injured by soone.
This was a mystery that baffled all the Wu Family mbers.
Grand Elder Wu was one of the top-level experts in the Martial World, and only a few could match him in martial arts. Most were nearly equal to him, and maybe one could barely determine a winner, but none should have been able to leave Grand Elder Wu in such a state.

That incident seed to have been put to rest, but Grand Elder Wu fell seriously ill afterward, taking three to four years to recover. Since then, he chose to live reclusively on the mountain, seldom venturing out, and never attending gatherings like the great Martial Arts Conferences.
