"Knock, knock, knock—" A series of knocks sounded at the door. Tuanzi imdiately hid his phone under the pillow, cautiously poking his head out.
A tall man stood in pajamas, saying coldly, "Go to bed early; you have class tomorrow."
Tuanzi found it strange at first; it was always the butler reminding him. Why was Uncle here in person?
Oh, he understood.
Because he was scolded by his uncle earlier, and the uncle was trying to take his guardianship away. The bad uncle must be scared, right? So he’s pretending to care about him, telling him to go to bed early!
Tuanzi pouted but nodded obediently.
He didn’t dare to be too reckless either, afraid Uncle would find a reason to take his phone away again.
Once Uncle left, Tuanzi dove back into the covers, holding the phone with both small hands, whispering a voice ssage: "Mama, Tuanzi has school tomorrow, so I’ll go to sleep now. Rember to tell Papa that Tuanzi misses him too. Goodnight."
Su Li had a smile on her lips, curled up in bed with her legs tucked in, and made a call.
Feng Huaijin’s slightly tired voice ca through the radio, "Su Li, what’s up?"
Su Li smiled sweetly, "Are you working overti again? Okay, okay, I’m just passing on a ssage from Tuanzi: he says he misses you too."
The other side was silent for a few seconds, then Feng Huaijin’s low laughter ca through, "Able to contact again?"
Su Li excitedly rolled over on the bed, cheerfully saying, "Yes, we can contact again! Co see us this weekend. He said he misses , and he misses you too."
Su Li felt like she was waiting for a son who went to college far away and ca ho only once or twice a year, feeling particularly excited.
"Did you just call to tell this?"
Su Li slightly raised her eyebrows, scoffing, "Isn’t this worth calling you for? Tuanzi misses you."
Feng Huaijin’s deep voice ca through the radio with an indescribable tone, "So only the son misses , and not you?"
Su Li paused, her face flushed, and she buried it in the soft pillow, mumbling quietly, "Of course, I miss you too. Who told you to work overti again?"
Feng Huaijin chuckled, "If I don’t work overti to earn money, I’m afraid I can’t afford you and our future son."
Feng Huaijin added, "In that case, I’ll pick you up tomorrow."
Su Li quickly shook her head, "Tomorrow? That’s not possible, I’ve already made plans with Haohao and Xiao Mian to watch a racing competition."
Tong Feibai’s Whirlwind Racing Team is participating in the national racing competition. As long as they win first, second, or third place, they have a chance to go international.
They are putting in their best effort for the competition and have already advanced to the semifinals, so they specially sent Su Li an invitation as an investor boss to watch.
This semifinal is taking place in Jiangzhou Prefecture, which is conveniently close.
Su Li agreed also because Haohao hasn’t been feeling well lately.
Xu Haohao and Xuan Ting seem to have so secrets they don’t want her and Xiao Mian to know. Xu Haohao has been down, seeming to feel that besides playing gas, she has nothing else to showcase.
When her friends have all found their life goals, and she’s left alone with forty million, it’s inevitable for Xu Haohao to feel lost.
So Su Li wants to accompany Xu Haohao to watch the racing competition, to help her relax and not get too down.
Feng Huaijin lightly raised his eyebrows, a bit jealous, "Watching the racing competition with your best friends? Su Li, you’re nicer to your girlfriends than to ."
Su Li blurted out, "But you’re my favorite."
