Iris:

"And do not change the subject." He raised his finger to stop from speaking, probably when he realized I was going to ask him about the river.

"Tell , what does your mother want from you and my children?" he insisted, this ti in a more commanding tone.

I kept watching his face and realized that maybe this was the mont I could ask him to give the cure. So I did.

"I want to give Colin the cure, just in my presence," I uttered.

I watched the way he stepped away from in confusion.

"This is the second ti you are requesting to give my son the cure alone." He reminded of the previous ti as well.

His hand remained on his waist while with the other he pointed at .

"And I’m beginning to wonder if you know more about this sickness than you are telling altogether," he continued, the harshness on his face intensifying, probably because new thoughts started to erge in his mind.

I could only expect him to think that I was playing a ga with him, that I was lying about the sickness, or that he did not believe .

After he had seen beg Luca to marry , I noticed that his mood had changed.

That was when a notification popped up on my phone. I pulled my phone out and saw that it was a text from my mother.

"What is it?" Kash asked , snatching the phone out of my hand.

The way he did it without letting take control of the situation made scared.

I tried to step toward him, I tried to snatch it back, but he was already holding it up with his arm stretched out.

No matter how hard I tried to jump to grab it, I could not.

"What is this?" he complained as he lowered the phone.

Then he suddenly grabbed my wrist, pulling toward him.

I felt his arm wrapped around while he held my right hand with his left hand.

My back was pressed against his chest. I did not understand why he acted this way until he forced my thumb onto the screen to unlock it.

"Kash, what the fuck are you doing? Do you not understand boundaries?" I complained, wriggling away, but I only managed to do it because he let go.

He had achieved his goal of unlocking my phone. I turned around to grab it when I heard the click of my screen unlocking.

Then he raised his hands in the air, with his neck stretching back to look at it.

"Kash, stop it. Give my phone back. You are not supposed to read soone’s private conversations." I scread, kicking him on his shin and trying to scratch his chest, but he did not move, like he was made of a brick wall.

"Kash, stop it."

I finally kicked his shoe, and that was when I felt pain run through my body. My toe started to hurt.

"Ah, you idiot," I grunted, holding my leg up with my fingers touching the toe and jumping up and down.

He finally lowered his head, then the phone, and stared at blankly.

"Are you okay there?" he asked very casually.

That made stop jumping and put my foot down at once. With my fist clenched beside my body, I glared at him.

I stepped closer and pulled my hand out, asking for the phone.

There was a weird silence between us. I was angry and he looked judgntal.

"Your mother is asking you to call her without noticing and keep the call connected so she can hear our conversation." As soon as he said that, he slamd the phone into my hand and placed his hands on his waist.

I gulped as I stared at the conversation with shaky hands.

My mother always advised to remove the conversation, so there was nothing before that.

That single text was enough to raise alarm bells in Kash’s head, and knowing him, I knew he would not take it lightly.

He would have a thousand thoughts running through his mind.

I gulped and started to call her. However, before she picked up, I looked at him once more and stated, "Well, that is because she cares for , and she thinks that you will be able to fool into staying as a side chick while you marry Lara."

I lied and I called her. She picked up instantly.

Then I straightened my back and looked at Kash.

"I want to give the cure to my child alone," I repeated, changing my tone.

However, I noticed the way Kash tilted his head, as if he found it odd.

Out of the blue, he reached for my phone, and when I tried to pull my hand away, the call cut off. We had a brief struggle.

He was really hard to distract and it surprised that day. I thought he was clueless, but it seed like he was suspecting sothing was wrong all this ti.

Then I had to get on my feet and quickly call my mother again because I could tell she was getting anxious.

This ti when I called her, I watched how Kash was staring at hard.

Too many emotions were rushing between both of us. I kept swallowing the tears that were forming in my eyes.

"No, I will not." He replied, shaking his head.

I closed my eyes and then opened them again, giving him a sad look.

I wanted him to give the cure so that my mother would not punish anymore.

"Please, Kash. Let’s think about our child." I requested him, still holding my phone in my hand while it was up for him to see.

I wished he had learned my eyes at that mont. I wished he had not been stubborn enough to ignore that I was going through a lot. I was suffering.

However, he clicked his tongue again and then shook his head.

"Nope."
