The mont Kash said that, Lady Vivian untangled her legs and sat up straighter on the couch. Her eyes narrowed so much that I thought they might stay that way.
"What are you saying? She’s a royal?" she asked, still staring at her son without blinking, while Zoe leaned forward too, her expression showing shock. Markus looked upset at the news.
"That can’t be. You’re probably just joking," Markus said quickly.
"No, I’m not. See? I told you she is. She’s a royal. Don’t you think that’s why her first transition ca so late? That she’s special?" Kash continued.
His words made uncomfortable as everyone began watching like I was soone important, like a royal princess. I was royal, but the looks on their faces were sothing I had never expected.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," Lady Vivian said, finally looking away from her son and toward .
"I an, of course, Mommy is a princess. That much we knew," Colin shrugged, saying it offhandedly without thinking too much about it.
My muscles stiffened, and I instantly placed my hand on his back to divert his attention, but it was too late. He had more to say, and it seed like everyone else was intrigued to hear what he was going to say as well.
"She had big rooms and all those clothes, and everybody would bow down to her whenever they saw Mommy," Colin uttered at the end.
"Your mother is a princess?" Lady Vivian comnted with a small laugh, turning to look at Markus and not Zoe this ti. She had realized that Zoe was not helping her at all or cheering her on with the bullying.
"Yeah. When Mommy was living with her mother, there were always guards around her. There were big guards, and then they gave my mom a crown," Amy continued.
Amy kept speaking when Kash swiftly pulled his phone out and turned on the screen.
"Look, Amy. I have ordered these toys for you," he told her.
As soon as he ntioned the toys, both Colin’s and Amy’s attention shifted, but my eyes lingered on Lady Vivian. The taunting smile on her face began to disappear.
She snapped her head toward Markus, who was also watching her as if she had the answers. They looked shocked, but also very intrigued.
"What are you kids talking about, Kash? Your wife was living in a mansion. She has guards. She has a crown. What is all this talk? Where is it coming from?" Lady Vivian asked harshly, most likely because if she had known, she would have asked for so sort of help for the pack or even expected gifts. That was the kind of look on her face.
"They are children. You are listening to children," Kash comnted, giving her a hand gesture to change the topic.
"And it is true. Iris is a queen. Queen of my heart, my dreams, my life, and my pack." Kash’s words were filled with love, and his tone was full of affection.
I shifted in my spot, sneakily looking at his mother for her reaction. Just as I had expected, she did not look very happy. There was a bitter, sour look on her face. In fact, she looked slightly shocked.
"Well, of course, you have another mate, Your Highness," Markus spoke up to remind Kash of Lara. When Kash gave him a harsh glare, Markus instantly shifted in his seat.
"I was just saying," he uttered, looking away.
I noticed Kash turning his head toward because he knew that every ti she was ntioned, I rembered his betrayal.
"Where is Lara though? When are you bringing her ho?"
When his mother ntioned Lara, I saw clear frustration on Zoe’s face. It seed there was trouble in their friendship, which I already knew, but not to this extent.
Just hearing Lara’s na made Zoe roll her eyes. She used to taunt and mock about Lara to make feel jealous and small, but she had stopped doing that a few weeks ago.
Kash took a deep breath, and what he said next made turn my head toward him. For the first ti in front of everyone, he admitted, "I’m not bringing her ho anymore."
"Quit talking. When is the queen coming back? You took her with you, and you never brought her back. I miss her," Lady Vivian comnted, keeping one eye on to make sure she was taunting . It was ant to show that I should not act like I had won, that Lara was still very much in his life, and that she was strong competition.
"Mother, I told you in the simplest words. Lara is never returning to my pack or into my life ever again. I am done with her."
This ti, Kash did not hold back. He stated it loud and clear while looking into everyone’s eyes for a few seconds to let them know he was not joking.
As soon as he said that, his mother stood up from the couch.
"Kash, what are you saying? Did sothing happen in the South? I thought you two were having a good ti. She even called this morning, asking if you had arrived. Are you not answering her calls?" Lady Vivian asked.
She did not understand what Kash ant, but I was surprised he said it. I thought he would just lie to like he had lied to Lara about . I assud he went to each of us and lied until we gave in.
"I told you, Mother. She’s not coming back," Kash said.
The mont he finished speaking, the door opened. Bags rolled in as Lara walked in with the warriors, all her luggage behind her and a wide smile on her lips.
"I’m back. Hello, everyone!" Lara announced happily, her voice carrying around the room.
The confused look on Kash’s mother’s face from earlier was replaced with a smile of relief, but I was stunned to see her back.
Did Kash lie to ? Because if not, why was she back again?
