"You wanted a cool na, right? A blend of two nas? Let’s go with this one," he hissed, making anxiously look away from his face.
I didn’t know why he had to co so close just to speak to . I heard him chuckle and then step back.
"Next ti, if I find anyone flirting in my company, there will be consequences. Let’s stay professional," he muttered, finally letting the elevator door open as he stepped aside and let walk out.
I didn’t waste a second. I hurried to my office, stord inside, and shut the door behind .
Leaning against it, I took a few deep breaths and noticed beads of sweat forming around my temples.
It made no sense. I hated this man. So why the hell was I sweating so badly?
After Kash’s little outburst in the elevator, I didn’t want to see his face again. I was told they were preparing a contract for the na he suggested.

I left for ho since there wasn’t much work left to do at the office.

The best part about coming ho was always seeing my children smile and jump up and down for .

They’d already eaten, and I’d seen my mother return late with food bags, so I guessed she’d eaten outside.

I was having a great ti with them, wearing blue shorts and a white tank top, not caring about any visitors until I heard soone at the doorway of my children’s room.

As soon as he said that, both of them turned and jumped off the bed, running straight toward Kash. I turned and stared at him in disbelief.

"I’ve been missing my kids," he said as he lifted both of them into his arms.
"Mommy, look! He can carry us both! And you know what? Daddy is so powerful—he can turn into a werewolf and carry us on his back. He said he’ll do it soon!" Colin said, looking so excited while talking about his father—the perfect, powerful alpha Kash.
"I don’t think your mother knows that. She thinks everyone else is better than your daddy," Kash comnted, dragging my kids into a personal war.
"No, Mommy, that’s not true! Daddy is better than everybody else!"
And just as expected, my kids instantly started defending their father, who gave them a very fake pout.
"No, Daddy, you are the best," Amy said softly, touching his cheek. I noticed how his pout slowly faded.
Kash stared at her for a mont before turning his face away. I guessed he finally realized he didn’t deserve the kind of love these kids were giving him.
He hadn’t been there and it was because of his own actions.
"Oh Kash, what brings you here?"
And then, as annoying as it was, my mother also arrived. Two annoying people in one fra.
"I wanted to spend so ti with the kids. I was hoping I could eat dinner with them," he said pleasantly, as if he were the kindest, gentlest man ever.
However, his words and his request made instantly get up from the bed and walk toward him.
I took Colin out of his hands, then Amy, putting them down and patting their backs to go collect their toys. Then I faced Kash to respond to his request.
"I don’t think that will be a good idea. I don’t want them out of my sight for a minute," I said, watching him place his hands on his waist, looking like a giant airplane with his elbows sticking out.
"Alpha King Kash, I respect you and everything. But Iris is not wrong. You need to understand that she doesn’t feel comfortable here. I an, this was the reason she ran away in the first place," my mother said, taking my side in the nicest way possible.
And whenever she took my side, I knew it ant she had a ga in mind.
She added confidently, "However, it doesn’t an you can’t sit and eat with us. How about the kids see their parents get along well, even if they’re not getting along as a couple? Maybe just as their parents. So, I invite you for dinner with us tonight."
My mother’s request made Kash’s face soften. He gave her a side glance before looking at .
I tried to signal my mother to stop, to take her words back, but when Kash caught , I imdiately stopped. It was too late.
And as expected, the minute he realized I didn’t want it, he made sure it happened.
"That’s very kind of you. Sure, I can stay until dinner. And after that, I’ll leave," he said.
And just like that, he decided to stay for the rest of the day, making sure I’d be stuck seeing his face and getting irritated the entire ti.
