I listened silently.
I watched Kash pour his heart out, turning to Lara as if to show he had already moved on. A little too quickly.
It was honestly heartbreaking.
I felt a pain inside that I could not even express. I remained silent because I had to. There was nothing I could say.
They had seen all the evidence. They called nas, things I was afraid my children might hear, afraid they would hate for it.
But what hurt the most was the anger in Kash’s eyes.
He knew I had loved him deeply and unconditionally. And I knew he had loved too.
But today, when he spoke to , there was no love in his voice. That was understandable.
He thought I had cheated on him. He believed I had cheated on him.
When he finally made his threat, he turned to look at Lara, who was standing beside the car.

I had heard that you had to perform tasks to earn anything. Otherwise, you would have to stand in the corner, not even allowed to sit.
Once you completed a task, you could ask for one favor, either an hour of sleep or permission to use the restroom.
He opened the door and shoved inside. Then he slamd it shut.
I rushed to the door and began knocking on it gently.
"Don’t do this to . I did not do anything. Kash," I scread.
But my voice ca out shaky and weak, breaking before it could grow louder.
There were no windows. Nothing. Just pitch black darkness.
I ran my hand along the wall until I found the switch and turned on the light.
It did not make much difference.
The cabin was so isolated that I could hear the rain as if it were falling directly onto my skull.
It was one empty room.
In the corner lay a thin sheet where I was supposed to sleep, if I completed the tasks.
There was also a small bathroom that I would only be allowed to use if a warrior permitted it.
I heard the car start again.
Soon, I realized I had been left there alone.

I let out a cry and slid down against the wall, crouching with my face in my hands.
"Amy, Colin" I called, and then I started crying loudly. "My babies," I added.
"Kash," I whispered, saying his na while crying alone.
Then a strange wave of nausea hit .
I got up and rushed to the bathroom, slamming the door open, stepping inside, and throwing up in the sink.
When I raised my head, I saw in the mirror that the cabin door had opened and the warriors were stepping inside.
They were about to tell the rules.
I turned around and straightened my back, facing the warriors.
"What? What are you looking at?" I scread.
They exchanged glances before stepping forward.
"Um, we just wanted to give you the basic rundown," one of the warriors spoke softly. "Anyway, Kash will co back to punish you himself."
My jaw dropped.
"Really? Will he bring an audience?" I asked, stepping out of the bathroom and slamming my hand against the door.
It hurt badly.
I was so fucking angry.
"Will he bring that fucking Markus with him? Because if he does, I will claw his face. How the fuck did he think he could play ?" I scread.
Like I said, my emotions were all over the place.
The warriors looked at each other again.
"Well, he will be back," one of them responded.
"I have a request," I uttered, suddenly calming down because anger would not help at this point.
"Well, you can make requests right now. Your punishnt will begin after Alpha King Kash’s arrival," the warrior explained, his hands folded in front of his abdon.
"Sure," I replied, rolling my eyes. "I want you to get a pregnancy test."
I straightened my posture and looked around the empty room.
One of the warriors noticed and cleared his throat.
"I’ll get you a chair and a sofa bed. But you have to stay like this for now," he added.
Then they walked away silently.
I began pacing around the room.
All these years, I had been nothing but kind to these people, and they had planned this entire ga against . That only proved they were never going to change.
Lara had been so happy when she got Kash’s attention.
After a few minutes, the warrior returned with a pregnancy test. He handed it to , and I stared at it.
I rembered the nights after my return, after Kash returned and gave the dicine before we slept together.
It had been just over a month. But before, this was how it happened with .
I started showing signs quickly.

I went into the bathroom and took the test.
When I ca out, I placed it on the ground and sat in the corner, staring at it.
